"I have! I've signed up for quests #10 and #11. I just want to start questing again."

"As do I! I believe I signed up for all available quests. My House was wise in sending me here to earn knighthood and the family crest."

Hoke bid the table a good evening and made his way over by the large hearth. He took out his new great sword in the firelight, polishing it and inspecting every last detail. He looked forward to using the new blade.

Arasmyth stood up with a pleased expression on his face. "Ah-ha!" he exclaimed. "I knew I would get chosen for a Quest! My skills are far too wonderful for any client to pass up!" He strode across the Hall to Grogan, and waited for the other 5 Questers to show up.

The robed man in a peculiar hat returned to the Hall to reveal the heroes who were selected to the quest at the Academy of Enlightenment.

Just as Ennoc, the Righteous Light, had foretold Maurice Ratibor was chosen for a quest. Appearently, the god of justice and honesty had also favoured the strange dark mage that had stumbled into Maruice. The other two in the party were unknown to him, but he hoped they would be honourable and devoted heroes.

"If just the barbarian knows how to behave in such civilized place as the Academy of Enlightenment I'm sure we will do fine" said Maruice to himself.

Having heard the lists of heroes selected for quests #9 and #10 had been posted Namyrra purposefully strode through the hall to the Quest Board, at which she, with some delight, discovered that she'd been chosen to go search for trespassers for the Hinckwells, along with no less than three other mages, and a ranger and a rogue, surely a group packing some serious firepower. She searched for the others from her quest group and noticed the mage Arasmyth standing next to Grogan the Groundskeeper. As she was already satisfied with her equipment and supplies she went to join them in wait for the rest of the group.

Haldor noticed the list of picked heroes for quests 9 and 10 had been posted. He saw that he was in neither quest, but at least there was one more chance, he signed up for Quest #11: A Matter of Principle.Haldor was not one to mumble, as he knew how much some had wanted to go questing. :classic:

En Sabah Nur saw that the ogre and his new aeromancer friend, Arasmyth would be questing together. The mage grinned. He would have to wish them well later.

He looked to the next quest. "Alf Gregory...now why does that name sound famil-" Nur's eyes widened in shock, horror, disgust..etc. as his memory returned. The silent scream from the mage was deafening. "The barbarian from the stairway." Nur sighed and looked at the rest of the list. He didn't know Erdathcath but the named sounded elven. At least there was only one in the party. Nur had difficulty distinguishing between elven faces most likely due to his orcish upbringing. The only reason he could recognize Arasmyth is from the elf's large hat and impressive beard.

The dark mage smiled when he saw the disciple of Ennoc's name. The wreckless barbarian and the civilized cleric who inspired visions of Ennoc. The irony was not lost on the mage. "The gods certainly have a great sense of humor." En Sabah Nur exited the Hall for the marketplace. This would indeed be an interesting adventure.

Keziah walked into the hall unobtrusively. The whole place was buzzing, people were really excited about something or other. She walked over to where the main hubbub seemed to be, and realised that people were gathering round the quest board. It seemed that two quests had be closed recently, and people were eager to see if they had been chosen. Deciding that it would be better to get the lie of the land before signing up for anything, Keziah walked over to the bar and ordered a drink. She drank her cider and soaked up the atmosphere.

Skrall trudged into the hall glancing at the quest board on his way in. He did a double take at his name listed under Quest 9 as the party leader, he grinned and then grimaced at the number of mages that were to accompany him. It had taken some time for him to come around to Nur and their common upbringing had helped, but now he was really going to be starting from scratch.

"Well, we'd best make the most of it," Skrall muttered to himself and then started to chuckle as he noticed the party that his friend Nur was going to be questing in, "Well if Nur can deal with that social barbarian, I guess I can stand a few spell slingin' stammerin' wizards for a while. Who knows this may actually be a good change of pace for a little bit."

Assuming the group of mages that were congregating around a new individual were his party he strode over to the man, who appeared to be a warden of sorts.

Doffing his cap to the group Skrall introduced himself, "Good day to ya all, the name's Skrall and I believe we're to be questing together soon huntin' after probably some hungry peasant or other. Arasmyth, we've met before, but what be the rest of yer names?"

With sinking heart Namyrra realized the huge ogre heading their way was the one named "Skrall" who were to come with them on their quest. Surely this had to be some cruel jape from Artanis the god of tricksters to test her ability to cope with the less fortunate of the younger races. So, gathering a considerable amount of strength she stood up straight addressed the ogre in a voice as polite as possible.

"I am Namyrra, of the clan Uq, a Fenarian currently studying the ways of you younger races, and the best way of learning as much as possible is to join up with Heroica, so this I did. And this will be my second quest in service to this noble organisation."

"It seems that we were picked, Finnegan." Althior said.

"Probably because of my charm." Finnegan responded.

" "

Atramor continued his nap at the table the others had probably vacated at this point. McCafferey sat in the center of it, pecking up the carcass of the others' meals. Suddenly, he awoke.

"...I wonder if I even need a room at the inn, with chairs this comfy."

Tesni had counted the heroes gathering around the quest board and staying to greet questmates. It looked like she had not been selected. Growling she grabbed a tankard from a passing server.

Keziah was about to approach a tough-looking barbarian lady she saw standing near the quest board, but seeing the look on her face as she turned to grab a drink, Keziah thought better of it. This was clearly not a good time to try to strike up a conversation with her!

Tarn saw the familiar hubbub around the Quest board as heroes weer selected. He knew that he hadn't signed up for those quests, but was sad that only Althior had been chosen from his friends from Quest#5, He knew the mage would be a big asset to his team.

He walked across to Tesni and smiled an encouraging smile despite her fierce demeanour. "Tough luck Tesni, you'd've been great in that quest."

I beam as I see the announcment. My first quest! I can only hope it goes well. I bid farewell to those I as sitting with, then jog to the door- tipping Scheherazade on the way out. I notice Bob- who I had talked with before- was also on the Quest, so I join up with him on the way to the forest.

Bob glanced up, his ears perking slightly at the sound of his voice. Surprised, he realized that it was part of a roll call. Could it actually be the case? Bob had waited for several months now, and finally was being given the opportunity to prove himself, it appeared. Joining up with another hero, one by the name of Dylan, if Bob remembered correctly, Bob made his way over to the party leader, eager to meet him, and get questing.
