Honoured?! Why on Earth would you be honoured to fight alongside a disgraced ranger and rogue?! Aren't you knights supposed to arrest rogues???? But I am still happy you say you are honoured.

"Hey!"

"I'm a Rogue and they havn't arrested me!"

Tesni descended from the rafters. Having signed her name for a quest, she had become bored and had decided to explore the hall. There had been lots of interesting climbing involved. Living in a large town was nearly as fun as the twisting caves and high peaks of the tribe mountains.

"Have I missed much?" she said to the genral assembly of adventurers at the bar.

Guts walks up to the to the ranger and the barbarian, not really knowing what to do (both women were much stronger than him, and he knew it!) he asked: "So whats to do around here?"

Posted

"Ah that reminds me" Guts scribbles his name under Quest #12: Honey, I Shrunk the Youngins! "Thanks for the pointers, miss" he says to Tesni.

He then walks off mumbling to himself: "Lets see where this free food is I heard so much about..."

Halfor returned to see he was not in quest 11, but never mind, he signed up for Quest #12. He hoped to get to go on the quest, he walked over to Tesni and Alexis. Hoping for someone to talk to.

Haldor though of Jess, she would be back soon hopefully...

Atramor watched his new Quest-mates approach.

"Ah, knights are fine in my book. A little bit of a direct approach, but as long as you're not with the Bonapartes...," he explained, tossing a kernal of corn into the air which McCafferey promptly pecked up. "Right. Okay, not much to talk about strategy-wise, other than Rangers in the back. Thing is, Tarn, if there are any undead, you'll just have to go one-on-one. None of us can damage 'em. But we are just lookin' for stuff in the city, so it shouldn't be an issue."

Well you are the boss, this quest will be good, as I have heard the bonapartes are yet to open a quest.

Well one thing I would like to put venom on my arrows

Sounds like a good plan, that is a rather disturbing point about the undead  hopefully we won't meet any.

"Trust me, you never know when you'll meet an Undead foe, but the thing is, normal weapons won't harm them. In my last Quest we had some magic users to attack them but this Quest we'll just have to get by with Kyrferath", said Tarn, patting the gem-enfused battle ax by his side.

The hall had quietened down, some had left to prepare for quests and others had gone to wherever they frequented. Tesni sat down on a vacated bench and pulled out her sword cleaning cloth, Cysgodion and Cryfder would need a good polish. She carefully cleaned of Cryf, an easier task after the storage chant had made it much smaller, and placed it in her bag once more, it clicked and clunked against the vails and bottles.

Focusing now on Cysgodion, her new blade, one to be proud of, she let the light play along its length. Shining the curved edges and working along the hilt. The pommel stone gleamed a deep purple as she buffed it carefully. "Surely a fine weapon," Tesni muttered to her self, tracing the engraving at the crosshilt and leaning the sword against the bench next to her. 'I wonder how my friends fare in their long ranging quests..."

"That it is. Hopefully we will stand side by side in battle with our fine blades soon."

Hoke patted his great sword as he spoke. He truly hoped he would be selected for another quest soon.

"Care to work through some drills with me Tesni? I need some time adjusting from a long sword to a great sword."

A gnome approached the questboard with a look of worry upon his face. He checked the current sign-ups for Quest 12:

Quest #12: Honey, I Shrunk the Youngins!

1. Alexis Fenral, Level 11.5 Ranger (Masked Builder)

2. Ellaria Arbour, Level 6 Cleric (Sandy)

3. Tesni Hightribe, Level 11 Barbarian (Peppermint_M)

4. Hoke Ablesword, Level 6 Knight (UsernameMDM)

5. Dak Nikolus, Level 1 Rogue (darthnihilius)

6. Alexandre le Chevalier, Level 1 Knight (Capt.JohnPaul)

7. Guts Holla, Level 1 Rogue (Scubacarrot)

8. Haldor Skovgaard, Level 4 Cleric (Scorpiox)

The nervous gnome left the Hall just as quickly as he'd arrived. His children needed to be found, especially before his wife found out they were missing!

Flapping his cape delibarately while marching into the hall, Sir Norman Harold glances around him with bemused interest. He had rode dragons, unicorns, sailed the six-and-a-half seas and walked a little for months to get here.

"Greetings ladies and gentlemen and other things! I am Sir Harold, hailing from the far-off realm of Meggo Bolck, ruled oppressively by masquerading frauds who are deeply corrupt. I left after hearing about the noble daring deeds done daily by the Heroica council. I wish to joi them and stop inferior plastics from ever getting mixed up in our parts collections ever again!"

"Hmm... I wonder which quests I can join..."

Moranis Szalinski furrowed his brow as he scrutinized his list. He could wait no longer. A team must be chosen. But who to lead? "I heard that cleric was quite instrumental in the successful completion of her quest though a bit timid in demeanor. I also heard the other one failed his first mission. Not quite what I meant by "experienced heroes needed". A knight could be good. Definitely no to the ranger. Those who think they can converse with animals are loonier than I am." Szalinski looked over the last name. "Yes, perhaps a more aggressive approach is what is needed..."

Szalinski returned to the Hall and attached the following note to his quest advert.

Quest 12: Honey, I Shrunk the Youngins!

Alexis Fenral, Level 11.5 Ranger (Masked Builder)

Ellaria Arbour, Level 6 Cleric (Sandy)

Tesni Hightribe, Level 11 Barbarian (Peppermint_M) *Party Leader*

Hoke Ablesword, Level 6 Knight (UsernameMDM)

Haldor Skovgaard, Level 4 Cleric (Scorpiox)

Please arrive at my residence within the next 30 hours.~ Moranis Szalinski

Returning from training with Hoke, Tesni entered the hall, the new quest recruiting poster had been updated, declaring the chosen heroes. "Party leader?" she said aloud, surprised. "Well, two clerics will be useful also and all faces I know an trust. This is good."

She stood back next to the board, awaiting her quest mates.

From his corner table Guts saw the gnome come in and post the list of the chosen heroes, he had found a favorite place to sit in the hall during the short time he was part of Heroica, the table he sat on was close enough to the bar to be able to call Scheherazade if he wanted a drink, and far enough away from where most of the barbarians were to not hear their constant bragging about the size of their spears and clubs. The table was also half in the dark, and provided Guts with a clear view of the questing board, In short, it was a perfect place to sit for a rogue like himself.

He did not have to get up to see that his name was not among the heroes chosen for the gnome's task. Guts shrugged, he knew that there would be plenty more oppertunities for him to shine, for now he was content with his comfortable chair in the Hall, drinking expensive wine he did not have to pay for.

Not to anyone in particulair he said:"The next quest shall be mine."

Ellaria was surprised to see she had been chosen onto a quest with people who she knew. She had quested with all of them except Haldor before, and she had gotten acquainted with her fellow cleric at the hall. Ellaria clapped her hands out of excitement, then realized there were battle-hardened heroes standing all around her, and blushed.

Hoke entered Heroica Hall. He had sparred and drilled with Tesni and was getting used to using his great sword. As we walked into the Hall, he noticed several of his former quest mates had larges grins on their faces. Hoke made his way to the updated Questboard and read

their names and his name on the roster.

"Glad we all made it in! And two clerics? This should be a grand quest!"

Hoke took off to secure his belonging and to check over his gear one more time.
