Lordofdragonss Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 I will be gratefull humen- said to Nerven, you know the Shivering Axe clan? One of Gorgs brothers went there! *Turns head to Sarick* Gorg don't know... Warchief brings it to the village, me never seen the battle... Quote
Chromeknight Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Guts said to the elf: Cam'wethrin? what is that? I do not speak elven. assuming it is not an insult, its good to meet you. No... chuckled Nerwen softly It means... well, rogue is one way to say it in the common tongue. Since I did not yet know your name , it was better than saying 'hey you'. It's clear by the number of knives you carry that you follow the path of Mercutio, the trickster. It is good to meet you also. Nerwen sees the activity in the hall winding down. Excusing herself she heads out to a quiet place to meditate. I will be gratefull humen- said to Nerven, you know the Shivering Axe clan? One of Gorgs brothers went there! I'm sorry, I was there when I was in my 19th decade. It was a long while ago. I will need to meditate to remember the details. Most likely your brother went there well after I left. Please excuse me, I will come back later and tell you what I recall. Nerwen bids all a farewell and steps out of the hall. Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Sarick eyes the twin blades. They look like they would do far more damage than his shark's fang. "I must have slithered passst you on my way to this stool." Sarick swiveled a few more times. "I am Sarick. It is a pleasure to meet you Dak." "I haven't met you yet, I've just been sitting a few seats down from Guts. That shark fang looks like it will do a mighty good bit of damage, especially if you put Poison on it. Have you been out in the city yet? I went to the Marketplace. There were an interesting variety of wares, but unfortunately I did not have enough Gold to buy much. Since there are so many new heroes here, perhaps we shall be put on a Quest soon." Dak turns to address Gorg. "Hello Gorg, you seem nice enough. I met a few passing Orcs back in my hometown, but they weren't very nice. The guards eventually had to drive them out. I think they were infected with the infamous Mopag Zombie disease. My people have developed a resiliance to it, but outsiders can sometimes catch it." Dak turns away and sips his drink, thinking about all the people he has met today. His experience with people hasn't served him well here, as he has found friends that he had never thought possible. He smiled to himself, hoping that he and his friends would soon be able to test their skills in battle, side by side, on a great adventure. Quote

Scubacarrot Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 The conversation Guts was having with his new friends was cut short when he saw that a new quest was posted on the Questboard. He read the description and decided that he would sign up, before walking up to the Questboard and Signing up for Quest #13: The Darkstar, Guts asked the others: "Are you guys planning on joining as well, I have a feeling this could turn out great!" After he scribbled his name on the notice, he ordered another bottle of wine and sat back down. Quote
Xarrzan Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Sarick noticed Guts and others traveling down to the quest board. 'This might be my first quest to prove my powers,' thought Sarick. He slivered down the stairs and signed up for Quest #13: The Darkstar. Sarick turned back to those gathered around the quest board. "I enjoyed our discussionsss and hope to be questing with you soon. I mussst travel to the marketplace I have heard of and see if there isss anything I should purchase. I shall be back." With that, Sarick turned and left. The end of his tail could be seen slipping past the door to the hall before it closed. Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Dak heard a man come in and post something on the Questboard. Without even looking be hind him, he throws a pin with a note attached. It hits the Questboard, right under the names of Sarick and Guts. His information is on the note, as well as his wish to join the Quest. Dak Nikolus has signed up for Quest #13: The Darkstar. Quote
Chromeknight Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 ~A new quest (#13) has been posted to the Quest Board!~ Refreshed from her day of meditation in Triad Park Nerwen returned to the hall. She saw a new quest pinned to the questboard. Seeing the names of the heroes she had met already she signed her name in a neat hand, using the common tongue. Nerwen Calmcacil (played by Chromeknight) Level #1 Elven Cleric signs up for Quest #13 Moving into the hall, proper she sees the dozing form of Gorg. Since he would be keen to quest also, she nudges him with her staff. Hey sleepy head! There's a new quest on the board. You should sign up! That done, she sits closer to the bar. Quote

Nerwen crossed the floor to greet him. Hello there young one. Where did you get that helmet? Nerwen smiled warmly Quote

I have never heard these fairy tales of a land called... Erth did you say? A fairytale helmet certainly makes you look fearsome! My name is Nerwen. Did you grow up in the free isles or did you travel here? My home is on the edge of the Kingdom of Duplova. Nerwen sense that there is more to Alexander than it seems. Bioniclover Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 The doors to Heroica Hall flew open as Knifk strode in. "Hello! Me Knifk, am here to slash villains!" he proclaimed in a booming voice. He looked around, then walked over to Gorg, recognizing him as a fellow orc, and began bombarding him with questions. "Hello! Me Knifk. Knifk is of Tribe of Writhing Wyrm. What tribe is Knifk's new friend from? New friend has dragon bone. Knifk's slasher-basher has dragon teeth. See?" Knifk hefted his morning star, a mace studded with vicious looking fangs. "Knifk got teeth from dragon. Knifk jumped on meanie dragon's back, but it spat fire at Knifk. Knifk doesn't remember much after that... But tribe chief gives Knifk teeth for bravery! What is happening? or more politely, Hi, how are you going?) thlngansnagan? (Orc-speak? or Do you want to speak in Orcish?) Or would you rather speak in common, since that's what everyone else speaks. I think Gorg is asleep at the moment, he hasn't even signed up for the latest quest! Nerwen gives Knifk plenty of personal space, since she doesn't know whether he has spent much time around humans (and elves). Quote

I might have to pick up his parts on Bricklink. IC: "It is okay to speak in common! Chromeknight Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 (edited) "It is okay to speak in common! Knifk has learned his grammar very well since his tribe was destroyed by evil meanies that refused to be slashed or bashed! Nerwen was surprised. Despite his entrance, Knifk seemed quite human, and spoke common unusually well. Attacks on Orc clans are a familiar tale. But I have not heard of the Writhing Wyrm tribe. Still, you probably took quite a journey to get here. Did you have much trouble travelling? This was now the second orc she had met who was keen to do violent things to evil. She wondered if there was some new cult starting up among the tribes and clans, preaching opposition to evil via blunt instruments. And just how did they define evil anyway? Nerwen sighed. She knew there were as many different kinds of Orc culture as there were human. Ranging from the feral and bestial to the martial and honour-obsessed. Adventuring would sort them out, but there seemed to be a sad lack of quests. Perhaps the hall would be different when some of the other quests returned. Edited October 31, 2011 by Chromeknight Quote
Bioniclover Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Writhing Wyrm tribe lives deep in Baltorak, jungles near fire mountain!" Knifk proclaims proudly. Gave Knifk shiny armor and new helmet!" Quote
Scubacarrot Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Guts was getting pretty smashed from all the wine he was drinking, there was a large amount of bottles piling up next to him. He stood up and somehow managed to walk in a straight line towards Nerwen and Knifk, knocking over a waitress in the process. Guts said with a voice that only drunk people can manage: "Nerwen! You did´n dell uzz you had a dwin sizzder! And dwo orczz azz well! You all look alike! Guts bursted out in laughter. "Idz good to meed you, orczz. Zdrengdh and zduff do your clan! Does the crest on your armour and shield belong to this elf or is based on your clan totem? As Guts moved away, Nerwen leaned a little closer to Knifk and said gnarSk po' TenQ (Pig sleeper now -or- Perhaps he will fall asleep in the pigsty...) But Nerwen was new to adventuring and had not yet gathered the 'fat lootz' that Karg had told her about. Chromeknight Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Character development.... Alexander asks, "Is something wrong? You look kind of... cold, as if you seen a ghost." You didn't feel that? Someone called on Galadrya and Celebryon for power. Something... big... happened nearby. Nerwen shrugged. She wasn't sure what was going on. Thank you for checking on me, little one. I imagine some of the heroes on quests will have some interesting stories to tell. Though some have been gone a long time. I heard in the marketplace that there's one group that's been running all over the countryside, chasing a lion? Do you know anything about that? re. character development: If there's no-one to talk to, sometimes you gotta talk to yourself! Quote
