Doesn't look like there's much action around here... Mainly people eating and sleeping. Why I remember back when me and Trotter would go on adventures whilst waiting for the next quest........ *sigh* good times.....

Oh, you mean the quest at the school? Twas dreadful it was. Not too many enemies, and we got lucky quite a few times. Otherwise, there isn't too much to say about it. Except we also discovered a major crime that happened at the school, and let's just say, it won't be the same school, ever again.

Giving up after not finding the skarkling merchant Gurnam in the large city, En Sabah Nur returned to the Hall. He looked at the current sign-ups. "Hm..." He walked to the library and looked through the archived quests before heading back to the questboard. "The other Heroica mages are still in far off lands. I wonder if I'd be able to survive such epics. Hope they haven't run into much trouble." He walked up the stairs, his stomach growling. "If they don't get back soon, I'll be Hall's only choice for a spell thrower." En Sabah Nur grinned.

Well, all I can say to that, is I hope you are on the same quest as me, because if you weren't, I probably wouldn't live long.

Atramor chuckles at Erdacath.

"Don't need to live long if you've got a Rogue. You guys can use your bodies as shields as I slip out."

Hm. That wasn't as funny as it used to be, thought Atramor, slightly confused at himself.

A man clothed in the blue and gold of the House of Hinckwell, wearing a saber at his side and a tricorne upon his head, enters Heroica Hall. He pins something to the Quest Board, and exits.

Assignment: "The Brobric Elves are steadily driving back our Lion Knight allies along the northern coast of Uland. We've learned that they plan to use the abandoned Bric'Bay Fort to rest up and regroup before delivering a final strike. In order to maintain control of both ours and the Lion Knights' holdings in northern Uland, that fort must not fall into elven hands. Whoever controls the fort will be in position to control the majority of Uland. Getting to the fort before the elves is no problem, but we need help to hold it." -Commodore Martin Largus, Commander of the North Uland Trade Fleet, House of Hinckwell

Party Requirements: "We need a team of eight heroes to assist us in preparing defenses at Bric'Bay Fort. Preferably not previously hired by the Shadeaux, but due to that house's deception, we will not discriminate against the heroes of Quest 4."

Reward: 1,600 Gold to share and improved relations with the Hinckwells.

Sign-ups close Friday, December 9th.

~The Quest Board and the Gallery of Heroes have been updated on the first post.~

Raising her eyes from the floor she was sweeping, Scheherazade watched as more and more heroes returned from their quests. The orc matron couldn't help but to grin and shake her head in disbelief

"By Mother Danab's teats, I don't remember Heroica ever having this many champions", she said to nobody in particular. "The Veterans must be damn satisfied of this situation... I know Old Johnny Thunder would certainly be, bless his gnawed bones."

As grumpy and sour as the old barkeep had been, he had once been a hero of Heroica himself, back in the days when the quest opportunities were few and far in-between. The place had certainly changed a lot from those days, but Scheherazade did not quite get why that was. Maybe the world was just going crazy... Sending a thought to her vagrant son, wherever he might be, Scheherazade returned to her work.

Atramor's eyes flicked over yet another quest....hey, he'd already been hired to do the dirty work of the Hinckwells once, maybe they'd hire him again. 1600 gold would be fantastic...defending a fort? Good thing he brought all those tripwires...he scrawled his usual untidy signature under Quest 17.

"Thank you very much for this lovely new cape, Tomas. I shall see that I put it to good use in the near future."

Ad-Hoh, now with a new-found love for questing and adventure, writes his name on the advertisements for Quests 14, 15 and 17.

"A call for mages sounds like a good opportunity, but I would very much like to finish what I started with this unfortunate Elven/Lion Knight war."

OOC: Thanks a lot to Brickdoctor for hosting such a great quest and allowing me to participate. It was great fun and beautifully-presented. Great job!:classic:

IC: De'kra walked up to both Tomas and the ax barbarian of Quest 4 and paid them the owed funds. Now the shade had only two hundred and eighteen gold left, but his debt had been repaid. The shade in part was too surprised that it had been a Shadeaux trick, he signed up for quest 4 knowing that the Shadeaux had a talent with manipulation. They almost advertised the fact. If the group had forgotten that feature of the Shadeaux then it was the heroes' fault, and not that of the Shadeaux.

After completing Quest 4, Tomas strides back into the Hall and signs up for Quest 14: The Family Recipe, Quest 16: The Paladin Conquest, and Quest 17: The Lion's Share. That having been taking care of, Tomas walks over to a table and orders a drink.

Cinna walks into the Hall after the long quest journey. A bit defeated looking, even though they were successful, it never feels good to be manipulated. She heads first to the quest board to sign up for quests #14 and #16, then heads up to the bar to grab refreshment. Not knowing where else to go, as the Hall is crowded, she takes a seat with her quest 4 commander.

"Hey Tomas, that sure was a rough battle, eh? I'm glad we all pulled through though. I do wonder if we made the right decision in the end, of course there's no way to take that back now. Even though he royally tricked us, it was pretty nice that Mr.Shawe forgot to take back those weapons he loaned us - or were they part of the payment? We've done so much traveling since I signed up for the quest, I can hardly remember now." She laughs softly.

De'kra nodded at the cleric, and approached the table. "What leader think happen now?" asked the shade, "and why no heroes worry about war? Hall feel same...as usual, it no great panic. Heroes not of Shadeaux's Trigger not know of war yet?"

Elgar gets up and greets the new arivals, harly recognising some of them after their long absence. He curiously stated "It seems Shadeux pay nicely due to the new gear or the amount of money you carry, but yet you seem fine to give up your reputation with them, strange. Anyway, a war has just statded on the north coast of Uland, you were searching Uland I think. Alsdo I think the war mentioned lion knight, I thought those were the people you were looking for. I think your tales will be very intresting"

Xander slowly makes his way to Heroica Hall, the memories of his latest adventure still fresh on his mind. Noticing several quest sign-up sheets posted on the bulletin board, he reads each description carefully and scribbles his signature under two of them-- Quest #15: Hoisting Down the Jolly Roger and Quest #17: The Lion's Share.

Waiting for the next step in his journey to begin, Xander makes his way to the marketplace to take care of some monetary business.

As Thormanil walks back into the bar, those with a keen eye begin to question whether or not he seems *just* a little bit taller than he was when he had first set out. Maybe he was standing a bit straighter, with the confidence and experience of a true quest under his belt, or maybe... maybe there was a little something more.

He heads over to the table with Tomas, De'kra, and the rest of his friends, taking note of the gold De'kra was offering back.

Thank you, De'kra. Best money I've yet invested, I gotta say, your foresight for that last fight really gave us the upper hand going into it. Can you imagine if we'd blindly rushed in against the Lions? We coulda been swarmed! Hah! Now, THAT would have made for a great story!

Pocketing the 25 gold, he sifts through his coinpurse, figuring out how much he's got now.

Aha, got a tidy little sum now! Think it's time I get a little shopping done! Oh, I know, I just got here, but hey, I'll be back soon enough! Try not ta miss me, hah!

Standing up again, he shouts to the entirety of the bar:

Ay! You lot! Anyone looking to part with any gemstones? Tell me what you've got and I'll let ya know if I'm interested! Go on, don't be afraid to shout it out at me!

OOC: In the interest of helping me locate any offers, should anyone be looking to sell, could you open with "Hey, Thormanil!" so that I can ctrl+F it easily, but it still doesn't seem out of character? e.g. "Hey, Thormanil! I'd like to sell you a ____" Thanks in advance :classic:
