By the time Benji had gotten back up, gotten a few drinks, and sat back down, the damn viking was gone and Benji never even got to have a word with Alexis. It was a good thing that smelly viking had gone, for the wrath of a man combined with the strength and duration of an elf is not a good combination for any mortal opponent.

Benji needs to go on a quest. Otherwise, he'll die of boredom. Heck, whenever he tries to talk with someone he gets banged out of the way! What is the problem here!?

"I need some fried chicken."

Atramor contemplates testing his new dagger out on the Ranger. Why does everybody enjoy consistantly being so blunt about their appetites for chicken? Just to piss him off, surely...

"I need some fried chicken."

Finnegan hovered over to Benji.

"I'll give you some small gold (0) if you take out that chicken!"

"Finnegan! We do not bribe the other heroes!"

"Fine. Never mind..." :hmpf_bad:

"Hypocrite, you wanted that dragon to take my head off."

It occured to Atramor how many people seemed to hate him. McCafferey merely flapped over to Finnegan threateningly.

"Hey! I was still a wee bit hung over! A long drinking contest will do that to you!"

"There has to be an automatic chicken fryer around here somewhere..."

"There has to be an automatic chicken fryer around here somewhere..."

Atramor simply rolls his eyes.

McCafferey, however strange it may seem, is the one that decides to take action.

"Aura, silence yourself. I have a respect for your kind, but I will call the cold grasp of death upon you if needs be," she warns, cold, smooth voice booming in Finnegan's head.

If he could sweat, there'd be a bead of sweat dripping down Finnegan's face.

"I- I th-think I'll go t-to the room n-now"

"Finally! Now we can be away from Finnegan's annoying comments!" Althior grinned as he stared at the pretty face of Alexis, wondering what else he could do to win her over.

McCafferey bawks happily as Finnegan leaves, giving no indication of her threat to him. Atramor merely pets his chicken absentmindedly, examining his new dagger.

"Do not allow it to occur again."

Posted

"Did you hear something?" :look:

"No, but I'm not listening for Alexis' breathing," chuckles Atramor.

McCafferey only bawks.

"I had a nice time as well! I've never been there before, but I did hear some nice things about it." He smiled. "I'll be right back, it's getting late and I have no idea where the heck Finnegan is! I'll be back in a few minutes. You won't be lonely without me?" He smiled again. "I'll be right back!"

Althior rushed back in as quickly as he left. He panted and puffed as he sat down.

"Sorry I took so long!" He said, "I saw Finnegan messing around with my old stuff, and found something you might like." He grabbed her hand and put it under the table. There was a snap as the gold bangle snapped on her wrist. "It was my mothers who passed it down to me. She was a bold and clever woman, just like you. And now it is yours." He smiled as she looked up, and he didn't let go of her hand.

"Aw! Thanks Althior it's beautiful." She leans over to get a good look at it. "Those are elvish runes on it, your mother had a very nice bracelet. I will treasure it always." Alexis smiles at him.

"Althior, I'm tired so I'm going to bed. I will see you in the morning." She hugs him and then heads off to her room.

"Good night Alexis!" He thinks to himself. 'We're already on hugging? This is better than I thought! I guess it's time to actually check in on Finnegan.' He stands up, gets one last drink, and heads back for the inn.

"Its OK, Atramor, no offense intended! Maybe we can work together sometime... I have a way with animals. Maybe it is because I am a ranger?"

OOC: I don't have a lot of medieval sets, but if someone gives me an idea for something simple I could build I'll edit pictures in here later.

-==IC: Arthur Justus Regulus VII==-

A man wearing a white tunic, blue pants, a rediculous-looking blue wizard's hat, and carrying a giant, serpentine staff enters the hall. He strides in confidently, looking cool and suave--until he accidentally smacks some poor guy in the face with his rediculously large staff. As he turns around to help him up, the other end of the staff trips another man carrying a basket full of apples. As he bends over to pick up the apples before they roll away, a woman with a clay jar full of water trips over him. By the time Arthur Justus Regulus VII sits down at the bar, he is bruised, sodden, and covered in feathers (don't ask).

"Bartender...I need a drink." Arthur magically produces a goblet of pure sapphire and sets it on the bar in anticipation. Then he notices the Quest Board. He secrets the goblet up his sleeve. "Hmm...the Lion's Share...it looks like I'd be ellegible, but then again...the Hinkwells...hmm..." He turns his attention to the other listed quest. "The Bonapartes would be a valuable ally...but would they make an exception to there rule for one as inexperienced as I?" Arthur turns to those nearby him. "What do you all think? Are any of you applying for these quests?"

EDIT: Getting nothing but odd looks, Arthur just decides to put his name down on QUEST #18, hoping he could tag along and maybe learn something.

Althior strolled back in from the prvious night, humming a nice little tune. Finnegan had stayed at the inn, saying something about a talking chicken. He sat down (yet again) and waited for Alexis.

Posted

"Welcome young mage, if you ever need help just ask me... not one of these other suspicious characters around here. I'm what you call, an expert. Want some chicken?"

Alexis walked into the hall, ready for the new day. She ordered some food and went and sat next to Althior. "So, do you think I should try out my Topaz gem? I still haven't seen what it will summon yet."

IC: De'kra was watching everyone in the hall carefully, his eyes and his ears other senses listening to the other heroes. De'kra had just noticed that a Mage seemed to have caught Rome Ant Icism, and he was directing his disease on an elf. Worse, this elf had spoken along with a barbarian to the elf rogue when the rogue and the cleric first became sick. Clearly the sickness was spread by the former Ranger and from there the Mage. The disease was spreading, though at what rate? The elf rogue, the barbarian, the cleric, the Mage, and the Evoker had all gone on quests since the cleric and rogue first became infected, could they have infected everyone who went on their quests? What if the disease spread to civilians they encountered all the way. This could be worse than the plague that incapacitated that village of carvers, or the plague that corrupted the minds of those villagers of Light. In those plagues the disease couldn't spread unaided, and required contamination by leeches or poison. But Rome Ant Icism spread through interaction, it could move much faster and there was no easy cure. Who could know who was infected?

William walked into the Hall tiredly, the inn's room walls were paper thin and his neighbors kept him up all night long. It seemed to be caused by Love. He thought this was ridiculous, good thing he could only be found by other rangers if he wanted.

Atramor blinked as an eccentric-looking mage walked in, covered in what seemed to be McCafferey's feathers, and sat nearby.

"Well, you've gotta start somewhere, eh?"

Posted

Atramor shrugged sheepishly and unsheathed the Sapper.

"Yeah, but a pretty thing like this ain't gonna turn up again any time soon," he maintained. "Can't let a chance like it pass up."
