Beautiful figs, anyways. Not sure how I feel about the chrome black legs on the minotaur, but those blue knights look especially nice. I played around with a second character that used the chrome legs and arms from the chrome Stormtrooper for armor, a la Quest 17, and that works really well.

Yeah, you can't really use too much of the chrome, otherwise it starts looking more like sci-fi. I couldn't get the polished black armor look with any other pair of legs for the minotaur, though, and it goes well with the chromed vambraces and the metallic axe.

And yes, BD, those figures are beautiful. I'm excited to see that we may be exploring the race more! I think that Vonnetate has been the only prominent member, and with him gone its exciting to see their original creator swoop back in and expand them.

I think he has been the only prominent member. I've mostly just been using them to add a little variety to enemies. They were a random encounter in Quest 4, didn't appear in Quest 17, and were nameless grunts in Blutziegal-Knight's army for Quest 31.

Every once and a while I reread some of the planning that went into Dastan, because there are just pages and pages of it. I came across this interesting Quote:

Into the fight against my party, and could we make that the assassination of Constance? That way if your party figures it out, Constance will not be killed, and that would majorly affect my quest. In that same vein you should have Emeraldo tell your heroes that Constance is a traitor, and that my party is deceived. That would make sense, I think, and give your party a reason to fight my party. That would be perfect. And since you're going to the market first, I'll make that assassination the first one on my list, so the market can be either gone or not gone when you guys get there.

So, you're party is protecting Constance, and Emeraldo claims him to be a traitor? In that case I think it will be fairly obvious who the traitor is, having the mix-up while stealing weapons at the other building previously. I'm not sure how we could twist that so that the heroes still think they're acting "heroically", but that's something to think about. Unless I'm misunderstanding something.

Funny how people ended up siding in comparison to what we first expected.

Sandy, I would like to hear your thoughts first, but before anything else:

Thank you for a great quest. I have lots to say. 98% positive. Tell us your thoughts quickly so I can praise you. :wub_drool:

I'm not into evaluating everyone's performances individually, so I'm just going to say a big thanks to all of you on Quest#66. You were all active, interested in the plot and the NPCs, and you gave me and my battles a run for their money.

I hope you liked the direction the main plot is going. And if you still feel sad about the loss of the Wolfgang generals, I have to say that they really were disposable to begin with. You could have saved each and any of them for an increased reputation with the Wolfgang, but you chose not to. That's an admirable show of moral backbone, I must say...

There will be new chances of gaining Wolfgang rep in upcoming quests, though, so those aspiring to become Beast Warriors must not fret.

That will be interesting. But I'm not fretting

Great quest Sandy. Great story, enemies were challenging. Thank you backdoor party for saving our arses

Fellow Questies: Kitchen and Back Door parties - it was fun! You all have great characters, some I knew already, and some I didn't. I'm excited to get to know the characters in a better capacity. I've already stated my love of meeting heroes from "other" generations.

Thothwick - It was fun to finally quest WITH you. I think Thothwick and Boomingham could be friends, I wish they had gotten to talk a little bit more! Also, glad you got a member of SOW.

Nyx - Normal response to hosting/questing with you. Lots of fun. Our characters are, essentially, the best of pals at this point. Its been a long way coming, but at this point I think we read each other's RP actions to a tee, and know exactly what the other character is thinking. It's loads of fun.

And now, the quest itself: Sandy. Thank you for the LOVELY quest. I have only a few complaints, and they are minor: with so many NPCs, it was hard to get into a conversation with just one of them. That being said, I think you did extremely well maintaining their characters and ideals, which can sometimes get muddled when there are that many of characters. I think also that the Gollum confused us a little. There didn't be anything to do but talk to the guests, and he kept insisting that we didn't talk to the guests. I also would have liked if some of the elite of Eubric weren't too terrible of people. I think this quest brought out the worst in a lot of them. Though Boomingham and I remain extremely loyal to Lorcan and Umbra, and we've gained some respect from Zelda and the Ji Pei.

Now, the positive stuff: ALWAYS well balanced but challenging battles. Always. More than fair loot. An extremely engaging storyline. Great great characters. I also really hope that I meet Baba again. Boomingham hasn't had a foe he hasn't killed immediately yet in Heroica, and I really think that he and Baba would be rivals. She has finally given him the PURPOSE I've been waiting for him to discover since we started the game.

Thank you for the great quest.

Final Note: Mumbassa. :wub_drool: There's something about his character/mini-fig/everything that I just love. :grin_wub: Bring him back please, and tell me when you do!!

Sandy, that was a beautiful quest. How you managed to keep track of all the individual complexities of it like that, with that massive number of PCs and NPCs, leaves me amazed. Incredible job!

In terms of main story quests, 66 was definitely the biggest bombshell of a quest to date. The Wolfgang generals are dead, the marriage that could unite the Hinckwells and Shadeux called off, and Baba's in Eubric. Certainly one heck of an eventful night!

Great quest Sandy, not only from a story perspective, but also a game play perspective! I'm still a little disappointed with what happened in the kitchen, but I'm glad you got them back in the game for the final battle! I can already tell that the effects of 66 are going to have a rippling effect throughout the rest of not only the main story, but the other quests as well. The amount of character development for PCs not even on the quest was fantastic. And I must thank you for planting the seeds for Karie! I really can't wait for when she realizes she's wearing her dead sisters clothes!

As for the cats, what was in the house they were leading Regulus to?

I must say, 66 was probably your best quest to date, Sandy.

From a visual perspective, the builds were superb and atmospheric. The character designs were fantastic, and we finally got a glimpse of Ulric! ...Though I swore he had the old Stuio's Werewolf head instead of the Monster Fighters one at one point. You managed to create a great atmosphere. The battles were well balanced - especially with Sorrow being minmaxed to hose nearly everything. You crammed a ton of plot beautifully into a small space, and for that, I applaud you.

My only issue is the other heroes not being able to interact with the heads of houses too much. Even when we were all in the same room, most of them just left.

Superb quest, Sandy.

He did, in those pictures of the leaders of the houses that I can never seem to find.

I can only repeat what's been said: great quest, Sandy! Really wish I'd gone on it - as it turns out I was in the Hall for the duration of Quest 66. Had to stay behind to make trades.

Great quest, great characters, great storyline, blah blah blah, now where's Guffington II?

cough... J. Smith... cough... Natnail... cough...

Great quest as always Sandy. The plot was riveting, the NPC's amazing, and the battles terrific, I'm really glad you've taken the time to plan all of this out and still have the heroes contribute in meaningful ways.

That's true. He does hate and want to find Natnail... J. Smith a little less so, but that one is true too. Baba is a real antithesis of him... not in all ways, but in many.

Thank you, everyone! This kind of feedback gives me energy to keep the game going for years to come.

You were given a chance to chat with any NPC you want in the ballroom, and the sheer amount of them was also meant to confuse you about what was going to happen. You knew you had to protect them from being poisoned by Steerpike, but you didn't know how. The golem maitre d' was also created to confuse you further with his contradictory orders. It was fun watching you scramble.

You could have gained reputation with any of the main houses if you had played your cards right, but you personally went with "talk to everyone about everything" strategy, whereas Nyx chose to speak to the NPCs that didn't give reputation. Hence only Thothwick got reputation in the end.

And I'm sure you've learned by now that there are no absolute "good guys" and "bad guys" in my storyline. There's just people with different motives and methods. Some mean good but are lacking in the execution, whereas some are only in it for themselves but their actions benefit others in the process. It's up to you to choose whose side you are on.

Final Note: Mumbassa. :wub_drool: There's something about his character/mini-fig/everything that I just love. :grin_wub: Bring him back please, and tell me when you do!!

It was you made him an actual character, actually, by interacting with him the way you did. He was planned to be only a background NPC, with only the few initial lines. I have no further plans for him, unfortunately, but if someone else wants to use Mumbasa and his ship The Sealion, they're free game.

Sandy, that was a beautiful quest. How you managed to keep track of all the individual complexities of it like that, with that massive number of PCs and NPCs, leaves me amazed. Incredible job!

As for the cats, what was in the house they were leading Regulus to?

The cat was leading Arthur to Violetta and Donny, who were waiting on the roof of the nearby building (they arrived there after the watchmen had "secured the area"). Perhaps if Arthur would have advanced further, he might have struck a deal with the two generals and things would be very different now...

The character designs were fantastic, and we finally got a glimpse of Ulric! ...Though I swore he had the old Stuio's Werewolf head instead of the Monster Fighters one at one point.

He did, but his design was revised when the Monster Fighter-sets appeared. I like his look much better now.

My only issue is the other heroes not being able to interact with the heads of houses too much. Even when we were all in the same room, most of them just left.

You had a very small window to interact with the heads of the houses, I admit, but if you had made an impression on any of them, you could have gained some extra experience like Thothwick did.

You chose to remain silent, though. Arthur, on the other hand, decided to approach them all at once, which didn't impress any of them. When it comes to the leaders, you can't expect to please everyone.

There will come a time in the game where everyone must choose their side. After this quest, that time is one step closer...
