There for he sells one of his potions for 2 gold. 189 + 2 = 191

Now he has enough to upgrade the crossbow from WP:8 to WP:10 - (90+100=190)

191-190= 1 gold remiaining

He also names the bow "Velox".

Boomingham does not stop at the Hall after he gets off the ship. He walks with a bounce in his heavy steps straight to the Eubric Marketplace. Boomingham smiles. He has completed three quests totally successfully, and recently led his first one. He feels... in command once more. This is what he is supposed to do. He is a leader. He is a King.

Boomingham walks straight to Anwyl and tosses him both his weapons and his diamond and amethyst. "Be careful with that frozen one, it can give you chills right down the spine. I want the amethyst in the King of the Desert and the diamond in the Frozen Saber... which I will have to rename some day." Boomingham hands over 100 gold (175-100 = 75). "I must continue on my way, but have those items sent to the hall when they're done." Boomingham bustles out of the marketplace.

Nyx rushes into the marketplace, making a determined beeline for Anwyl's smithy.

"Anwyl, sweetheart, it's me again and I need your skill once more. Please could you upgrade my precious Dawnstar II from level 7 to level 9? Here's the required 170 gold (80 + 90) and I think I'll hang on to my remaining 27 gold for next time."

Anwyl sighs and takes the wand, beginning the required work. He is resigned to the fact that trying to reason with the Mage that he already has several other orders to complete will merely invite an even longer sequence of flirting, foot-stamping, tearful pleading and shouting, culminating in the very real threats of being incinerated. So he just completes the work, takes the gold, and carries on with his work, happy in the knowledge that he hasn't been reduced to a small pile of ash.

Flashing a dazzling smile, Nyx gratefully takes her beloved wand back, blows Anwyl a kiss and rushes off to join her questmates...

Cronk greets Anwyl once again. Cronk sells Shield (SP: 4) for 20 gold and has 355 gold. Cronk then buys Shield (SP: 5) for 50 Gold and has 305 gold. Cronk will then upgrade Shield to SP:7 for 130 gold leaving Cronk with 175. Cronk then name new shield "Ennoc's Blessing". Cronk like keeping smith busy so Cronk upgrade Zoot's Bane to WP:12 for 120 gold, leaving Cronk with 55 Gold. Cronk thanks Smith Smokebeard for time and smithing expertise.

Cronk then buy Phoenix Essence from Portia for 50 gold. This leave Cronk with only 5 gold but better prepared to bash evil in future quests.

While Leo and Alisha were on their date duking it out the arena, Tomas decides to do a little shopping.

First, he stops at Portia's shop and buys a Grand Tonic, 2 Grand Potions, a Venom, 2 Smoke Bombs, and a Fire Bomb for a total of 30 + 20 + 5 + 10 + 10 = 75 gold.

Next, he goes to the smithy and upgrades his Shadeaux Staff to (WP:9) for a total of 70 + 80 + 90 = 240 gold.

So, my grand total is 75 + 240 = 315 gold. Tomas now has 461 - 315 = 146 gold.

Nur arrives at the marketplace. After failing to reach an agreed upon price with the established merchants, he decides to setup on a corner to find a buyer. "I am willing to sell a rare Scroll of Confusion for 200 gold!" En Sabah Nur would wait awhile before attempting to contact the shady dealer once again.

Durkon rushes up

"I'll give you 90 gold from my next quest for it. It was only worth 50 gold in the first place........."

Posted

En Sabah Nur scoffs at the elf. "Hah, I don't take credit. It seems you aren't familiar with the concepts of inflation, supply and demand, hmm? I tell you what, last three rounds in the arena with me and I'll give you the scroll if I haven't sold it by the time you challenge me." Nur turns his back on the mage and continues to attempt to sell Scroll of Confusion for 200 gold.

Posted

"I can do 103 coins, if ya' need it gone. That's all I can spare, but that scroll ain't much of a priority right now."

Posted (edited)

"Deal, Nur. To the Arena! Oh, yes, Mr. Scruffy, there is no way you'll best me at this."

Galen considers thoughtfully the wares displayed in front of Gnomeo's toolshed.

Greetings, gnome. Buying is not something I have done in a long time, but I'm told Heroes have been politely asked not to um... borrow anything from Eubric's merchants. The public image of Heroica and all that. So there, have 5 gold for a bedroll -- I guess one can't go adventuring without one and I seem to have misplaced mine somewhere.

Atramor ambled through the marketplace, mind crawling by at a much slower speed. McCafferey was, far from scaring him, downright intimidating him. She knew far more than she'd spoken, and, well, when she had, it'd seemed more an angry outburst than anything...and no matter what he thought, she didn't seem inclined to speak again. He found himself at Anwyl's smithy, who busy pounding out a plate of steel.

"Gonna something a bit stronger," mumbled the rogue vaguely, placing the Sapper, Ruby, and Sapphire on a nearby table The self-styled dwarf sized him up, and swept the items off the surface, getting to work at once.

He hadn't the faintest idea of how long he stared into the forge, each coal and lick of flame burning into his eyes, but soon enough the Sapper was thrust into his hands - tiny red embers seemed to creep around the blade, often shot through with a deep blue needle-like dart...his finger found the blade, and discovered, with some swearing, the edge was white-hot, splitting his skin like dust parted in the wind.

It may have given him some annoyance, but it was a fine weapon.

He paid Anwyl 100 gold, and cast one more look into the forge, vaguely reminding him of the phoenix that, ironically, was now being kept by Alexis...

Leechfeather was tucked into its sheath, and he set off for the hall once again for a good drink.

Rufindel enters the marketplace for the first time in what seems like an age.

He approaches Anwyl's Smithy.

'Hello, Master Dwarf!' he said amiably, wary of the tension ever-present between their species, 'I should like to buy a Fauxthril Staff, if you please, and will sell you this Oaken Staff for a fair price.'

He removes 50 Gold from his inventory for the Fauxthril Staff, and replaces 20 Gold for the Oaken Staff, leaving him with 195 Gold.

'Thank you sir! Now, would you kindly upgrade my new staff to a Power of 7, please? By my calculations, that should cost me 60+70 = 130 Gold, leaving me with 65. Good day!'

He then strides over to see Portia.

'Good morning, madam! I should like two of your finest Tonics, please, and one Remedy. Let me see... I make that 40 Gold? That leaves me with ... a mere 25 Gold. Better go and make some money! Thank you! :sweet: '

I walk into the marketplace for the first time, a plan already set.

Hello! I shall upgrade my Chain Whip to WP:9, which is 240 (70+80+90).

G:584-240=344

I pay the amount, and upgrade. I then upgrade it to WP:10 with my grating stone.
