Before departing on her quest, Ellaria hurries to Portia, and purchases two Grand Tonics and a vial of Smelling Salts. (96-30-30-25=11 gold left)

She then makes her way to the majestic building rising at the northern edge of the Marketplace. The Cathedral of Commerce...

"Everyman? Strange name if I've ever heard one," Boomingham comments to Barty as the duo sets foot in the market.

Boomingham walks through the market, dumping his potion (2 gold), grand tonic (15 gold), pickaxe (10 gold) and, after a few seconds of staring at it, his Shadeuax Shield (50 gold). "It's served me well, smithy. Melt it down into something nice." This brings his gold up to (70+79+50+15+10+2=147) 226 gold.

"Care to do me a few more favors? I'll give you 50 gold to take the opal out of Shiver, and then I'll have you melt down her down." Boomingham passes over Shiver (+110 gold), the blade he won from the Orc leader. It was a good memory... but Scupperer would serve the same purpose, and that blade always seemed to draw more blood. The Smith hands him some gold for the blade, and then the gem, which Boomingham pockets. (226+[110-50=60]=286).

Boomingham next plops the King of the Desert onto the table. It had been a faithful blade, and slain more than one of his foes. He wasn't sure if it was true or not, but in his head, it had even taken the life of Bluehood. He sighed once. "The gems from this one too, and then melt it on down. Make sure she becomes something beautiful, Anwyl. That's an order. I know you don't take them, but it's one just the same. If you don't mind, plant that amethyst in Scupperer." The smith does his job, and returns the unused gems to Boomingham. (286+[90-200=-110]=176].

Boomingham next makes his way over to Fabian's. He plops the Dress Uniform onto the stall.

"Howdy there, my good sir. Last time we talked, you offered me 75 gold for this uniform. Turns out my funds are a little tight, so I'd actually like to take you up on that offer. I haven't even touched the thing since last you saw it, so I think the value should be about the same.. though I'm still afraid you're practically stealing from me. If you want to give me a bit of extra gold for it... even just ten gold, I certainly wouldn't be complaining. Either way, you'll be happy to know that once more the gold will be plopping back into your fat pockets. I'll be taking a pair of Heavy Armor off your hands." Boomingham and Fabian exchange their wares and Boomingham inhales deeply, slipping on his armor. (176+[75-230]=21).

"I tell you Barty, I feel better and better every day. One day, the world will know Lord Lawrence Boomingham, and they will love and fear him, and always, always remember him. Now, let's go get some old priest's cloak. Onwards and upwards, my friend. Onwards and upwards."

"I don't think you've ever called me friend before..."

"Slip of tongue, I'm sure. Onward and upwards, pest. Onwards and upwards."

"Onwards and upwards."

The pair set off.

OoC: Quoted for reference! I'm sorry I breezed through, Sandy, I just wanted to be ready for tomorrow. PLEASE have the shopkeepers respond to Boomingham if you want, even if it's just snide comments behind his back. I love your NPCs and would have loved to really interact with them.

...and 75 gold for the uniform. Do we call that a deal, sire?"

A mage enters the market place, leisurely browsing the stores. At times he sometimes asks "And thees one? Much gold?" But every time, he sighs angrily and moves to the next. He finally ends up at Gnomeo's tool shed.

"How much for the Sped?" He asks.

"The what now?" asks gnomeo, confused

"S-p-e-d" Replies Janek "You know.." Janek performs a digging motion.

"Oh, A spade. Ten gold" says Gnomeo

"Too much, too much. I give 5"

"Ten"

"You ask to much!" Janek sighs. "How bout that picnic roll?"

"That's a bedroll, and 5 gold"

"Deal"

Jnek walks off, in the direction of the heroica hall.

Amma arrives at the Marketplace right after Thalion's departure, just too late to see him leaving. She goes to Portia. "Hey, I am in a hurry, I take this potion with me for 5 gold, alright?!" Without waiting for an answer she (kind of) runs to Gnomeo. "Hey Gnomeo! From one short guy to another, I am here to make a deal. I'll take a bedroll for 5 gold, Xtra-Small."

With that she feels equipped for her quest and leaves the Marketplace.

Opening Balance: 10 gold

1x Potion: - 5 gold

1x Bedroll: - 5 gold

Closing Balance: 0 gold

On entering the marketplace, Nessa sees the back of those elves and that dwarf. Shaking her head she goes to Portia. "Kind Lady Portia, I'd like to buy one of your potions." Nessa hands over 5 gold and receives a potion. Now she has 5 gold left. "Thank you, dear lady. I have to go now." While on her way to the exit of the marketplace, her eyes fall on Gnomeo's shop. She stops by. "You there, halfling. I take a bedroll." She has nothing left for those small creatures. But the items that are sold here might come in handy. Nessa passes over 5 gold to Gnomeo and gets a bedroll. Now she is broke but finally ready to follow the dwarf.

With a potion and a bedroll Nessa heads out the marketplace to get to her quest in time.

Arthur sweeps into the Marketplace, tossing his Blunt Dagger to Anwyl for 5 gold, then picks up a Magnifying Glass from Gnomeo for 30 Gold before heading to Portia's. "Let's see...a few Nostrums, a few Remedies...no, maybe not, let's see, hmm..." before long, he finds his coin purse a total of 295 gold lighter, but his pack much fuller.

Sell WP:1 Dagger = +5 Gold, new total 300 Gold

7x Nostrum= 35 x 7 = 245

2x Remedy= 10 x 2 = 20

1x Magnifying Glass = 30

Skrall wandered amongst the stalls, things had gone well in the training arena but he still had a sinking feeling about the chaos that would soon be arriving in Eubric. Skrall stopped at Anwyl's smithy unstrapping Leojagd from his back Skrall handed the sword to the dwarf, he was sad to see it go, but he wanted to ensure it wouldn't be forgotten or lost on the field of battle. "Now ya make sure ya don't go meltin' that beauty down, I'm sure some noble person or another will want to buy it at some point." Skrall collected the 100 Gold for the sword then selling his Heavy Crossbow for 40 Gold as well before moving over to Fabian's. Unstrapping the winged sandals he handed them over to the elf who begrudgingly accepted them for 40 Gold, fingers pinching his nose. The ogre quickly turned over the 230 Gold necessary for some heavy armor before finally stopping at Portia's to pick up 2 Meads for 30 Gold, leaving the ogre with a mere 1 gold.

Quickly perusing the market place, Thothwick bought two Phoenix Essences (100), two Smelling Salts (50) and three Grand Potions (30), paying 180 to Portia, cursing himself for leaving these things so late.

"There always seems like there's going to be more time."

On his way to meet up with the others from Quest #53, Haldor stopped off at the marketplace for some upgrades. He stolled over to Anwyl's smithy, where he had his brand new Zoot er Isen imbued with the power of ice itself, all for the price of 50 gold. Next, he went through the complicated process of having Thoric's light transferred from his older weapon rod over to Haldor's war axe; which cost him 100 gold pieces. The nord then quickly headed off to find his collegues, now having only 30 gold coins to his name.

Xander walks into the Marketplace, heading directly to Fabian's stall.

"Would you be interested in a tricket of this nature?" he asks the elf as he holds up the Amulet of the Elven Horse Rider. "What is something like this worth...25g perhaps?"

Xander walks into the Marketplace, heading directly to Fabian's stall.

"Would you be interested in a tricket of this nature?" he asks the elf as he holds up the Amulet of the Elven Horse Rider. "What is something like this worth...25g perhaps?"

Fabian wrinkles his nose at the sight of the amulet.

"It really is a trinket, I'll say! I give you 10 gold for it, take it or leave it."

Xander puts the amulet back in his pocket.

"Thank you for the offer, but I think I'll hold onto it for now at that price."

He heads to Anwyl's smithy, where he presents the black pearl and elven bomb.

"I'd like to sell these for +80g and upgrade my bow to WP:12, if it's not a bother to you."

Xander pays -120g and waits patiently as Anwyl finishes his handy work, before retreating back to the hall with 2g in his bag. (42g + 80g -120g = 2g)

Observing the Hall and resting after my duel with Thormanil, I look over my equipment. It's still very useable, but their surfaces are pitted and scratched wherever they're not worn smooth with heavy use, and the enemies seem to be getting stronger. Noticing that there are no matters that require my immediate attention, I walk over to the Marketplace.

I had forgotten to do it before, so I exhange my Silver Ore for 60 Gold, bringing my total up to 1444 Gold. (1384+60=1444 Gold) Doing some mental calculations, I figure I'll need a little bit more, so I head to Portia's and sell my Soma for 22 Gold, which leaves me with 1466 Gold. (1444+22=1466 Gold)

My first stop is Fabian's. Unrolling my Scroll of Armor Sundering and plopping my Dread Hat down unceremoniously in front of him, I say,

"I'd like this scroll merged into this hat, Master Fabian."

While the elf works, I browse his wares, picking out a pair of Counterstrike Gloves and a set of Heavy Armor. I take my hat back from Fabian and hand him 360 Gold, (50+80+230=360 Gold) which leaves me with 1106 Gold. (1466-360=1106 Gold)

Thanking Fabian, I head over to the Smithy to speak to Anwyl.

"Good day, master dwarf. I recently acquired this crossbow, and it requires an upgrade."

I give Anwyl 190 Gold to upgrade the Darksteel Crossbow to WP: 10, (90+100=190 Gold) which leaves me with 916 Gold. (1106-190=916 Gold)

"And I'd like one more thing done: enemies are growing more powerful; I've been Knocked Out a couple times recently. I'll give you this 900 Gold (160+170+180+190+200=900 Gold) to upgrade my shield to SP: 20."

With 16 Gold remaining (916-900=16 Gold), I return to the Hall.

Eric the Nord Raider stepped onto the famed Eubric marketplace for the first time since his return to the Freeport. After he left the party hired by Dr. Trice, the Viking warrior had roamed Uland and its surrounding waters for a while, before deciding to head back to Eubric. Now, he found himself on its market, his pockets heavy with gold coins.

It had been a while since Eric last visited the many merchants of this city, but the Nord still knew his way around. Arrogant as ever, he barged his way through the crowd, shoving aside those who stood in his way. Some people opened their mouths to protest to the Nord's behaviour, but no sounds came out. They usually relented when they became aware that their situation was hopeless. After all, the Raider towered above most and his athletic build was equally imposing to the common folk. In short notice, Eric had made his way to Anwyl's shack.

"Meh, you again," the dwarf spoke, "what do you want this time?"

Eric unsheathed his mighty greatsword and presented it to the blacksmith. "There's a lot I want, Anwyl, but I'm afraid the only thing in your power to gift me, would be an upgrade to my trusty battle-companion. Let your stunted fingers work their magic on my great sword and you shall be compensated, of course"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever. Give me the sword, I'll start working on right away"

It took the Dwarven blacksmith some time, but he managed to upgrade Godricsleif to WP: 19, an action which set Eric back 990 gold, leaving him with 616 gold. Pleased with his upgraded weapon, Eric swung by at Fabian's artifact shop. There he bought a pair of Counterstrike Gloves (-80) and then left the marketplace.

For the sake of gameplay,I'll also subtract 230 gold for a suit of heavy armour, but RP-wise I have other origins for Eric's heavy armour.

In total, Eric has spend 1300 gold. The Nord now has 306 gold left (1606-1300).

Jeaux wandered the stalls taking stock of many items for sale here. He was looking at the some potions, when he heard a voice nearby proclaim, "Hey wood for brains, what are you doin lookin at potions, those are for us real folk. A phony man like you needs tools to fix 'imself up, else you might become a stiff, or rather, stiffer for that matter, nyeh nyeh"

Jeaux saw a small booth labeled Gnomeo's Toolshed with a little man in front. He was as short as his beard was long, and seemed to be laughing at he must have thought was a rather clever comment. Jeaux had often felt like an imposter, though how could he be any different. He had always behaved as he thought he should, but how could someone be true to himself if he doesn't know who he is. He approached the gnome, ready to impress upon him the importance of good manners, when his eyes fell on a bedroll on one of the back counters. Jeaux could not afford a room with a proper bed as he had not managed to find a job yet in town, and he was growing rather weary of sleeping on cobblestone. He asked the runt, "How much for the bedroll?"

The gnome replied quickly, "What would you need a bedroll for, on second thought why do I care, 5 gold pieces and it's your's"

Jeaux reluctantly handed him 5 gold taking the bedroll in return, he glanced down at the 5 gold coins remaining in his pocket. It was a good thing the drinks were free. He started to quickly walk away as gnomeo called out behind him, "When you get your head bashed in, feel free to stop by for some repairs. Just remember to bring your gold!"
