You can only sell bones at magic shops.

"Ah, I see. I was hoping that since Portia sells potions (which are slightly similar to magic), she'd take it, but I understand if she won't." "I guess I'll just have to find a magic shop elsewhere then!"

Realizing his money bag was incredibly heavy (You'd be surprised how much a hundred gold coins weighs:tongue:) Chris decided to lighten it some. First he walked over to Portia's potion shack, where he sold his Tonic (Plus 7 Gold) and then bought one Remedy (Minus 10 Gold) as well as one Smoke bomb (Minus 5 Gold). He then walked over to Gnome's tool shed where he bought one Shovel(Minus 10 Gold). He then walked over to the smithy where sold his beat-up shield

(Plus 10 Gold) and bought a new Mockthril Shield(Minus 40 Gold) he also had Shining Great sword upgraded (to Wp: 4) (Minus 40 Gold).

100 gold plus 17 equals 117 gold minus 105 leaving me with 12 gold.

(Phew I hope I did all that right)

Having completed his purchases, and with a considerably lighter purse, Sir Christopher returned to Heroica Hall.

The potion clerk Portia shakes her head and wiggles her index finger.

"Do I really look like a raggedy mage to you, mister cleric? But for your interest, there is a travelling magic item merchant that sometimes comes to this Marketplace to sell her wares. Just keep checking back and she might appear one day."

"Do I really look like a raggedy mage to you, mister cleric? But for your interest, there is a travelling magic item merchant that sometimes comes to this Marketplace to sell her wares. Just keep checking back and she might appear one day."

"Thank you very much, Miss Portia! I will look out for that traveling merchant. While I'm here, I think I'll buy a Venom for 5 gold and another Tonic for 15 gold."

Tomas then moves to Gnomeo's stall and starts to inspect some of his merchandise. 'Hmm, a shovel could be certainly be of use for finding some treasure' he thinks to himself. "Mr. Gnomeo, one Shovel for 10 gold, please!" he declares, putting some money on the table.

Finally, he strides over to Anwyl's Smithy and hands the tall dwarf his Gold Staff. "Hello good sir, would you mind upgrading this to WP: 4 for 40 gold?" he asks.

That's 70 gold spent, so now Tomas has 35 gold left.

De'Kra walked through the marketplace, the sun burning his mood. Slowly he approached Gnomeo's stand, and eyed its many tools. With a gesture De'Kra exchanged five pieces of Gold for a Bedroll. Now with only five pieces of Gold left but now owning a place to rest, the Shade moved on, pained by the light of day.

Wandering over to the Marketplace, Hybros' money puch is considerably heavier than it was before he left. First, he stopped at Portia's Potion Shack, and requested two potions, a grand potion, and two remedies, costing him 40 gold altogether.

(-40 gold)

Next, Hybros stepped over to Gnomeo's Tool Shack. He was secretly pleased to realize that with his hat, he outranked the gnome height-wise. Smirking underneath his kerchief, Hybros handed over 5 gold in exchange for a bedroll. Even though he was a creature of the earth, the item would come in handy in case he had to regain health quickly. He also eyed the other tools, wondering if he would need any of them for his next quest.

(-5 gold)

Finally, the little imp arrived at the Smithy. He took out his Reaper Scythe, and remembered the tough spots this trusty weapon has gotten him through. But it was time to let it go in favor of using the stronger Fleuret he had gotten from defeating Umbra Shadeaux. He sold it to Anwyl for 15 gold.

(+15 gold)

Hybros also handed over his new Fleuret, to be reforged in order to become more powerful. The imp waited patiently while the tough blacksmith pounded away on the sword in his shop. When it was returned, the Fleuret gleamed with new power (WP: 5). Pleased with the result, Hybros paid the 50 gold for the service, and then returned to Heroica Hall.

(-50 gold)

Total: 210 - 95 + 15 = 130 gold left. Items added to inventory.

Atramor, with McCafferey once again perched on his finely feathered hat, ambled into the market. He already had his large sack of gold in his hand, ready to buy stuff.

His first stop was Gnomero's tool shack.

"Gah, you again?"

"Yes, it is."

Atramor quickly picked up a Magic Compass, a Magnifying Glass, and a Pickaxe, leaving 100 Gold on the counter. He then approach Anwyl's Blacksmith shop.

"Whaddaya you want?" grumbled the bearded blacksmith.

The rogue sold his Sai-dagger for 15 Gold, then had his Chain Whip upgraded to WP: 6, for 110 Gold, leaving him ultimately with 24 Gold.

He then turned, and paced back to Heroica Hall, examining his new tools with relish.

Tesni stepped into the market, she held the fang dagger (WP:4) up and said "I offer this dagger for sale at 30 gold." Then finding a useful wall she tacked up a small notice telling others of her offer.

Approaching Gnomeo's stall she purchased a bedroll for 5 gold leaving me 105 gold. She packed that and headed over to Anwyl's stall. "Greetings, I wish to have my blade improved, upgraded so it is weapon power five. That is 40 gold and 50 gold yes? This leaves me with 15 gold." Handing over Cryf, the smith took it with reverence. The priestess had always told Tesni that the legendary blade would need some sort of smithing, as it had spent a long time in the fist of stone. When Anwyl was finished, Tesni marvelled at the improved strength and power.

Eric strides into the market. Coming straight from a successful Quest, he was eager to spend his hard-earned money. His first and foremost wish was to restore his mighty blade Godrisleif to its full potential and unleash the hidden strength that slumbered within. Despite being a master at wielding the greatsword, Eric was no blacksmith and had no metallurgical knowledge whatsoever needed to work on his sword. As such, he sought out the aid of Anwyl, Eubric's resident blacksmith. Eric had his doubts about the man, he was dubiously tall for a Dwarf and his Mockthril weapons were obviously flawed Mithril ones, but he was all there was in the Freeport.

As Eric neared Anwyl's store, he was greeted by the Dwarf. "Hello there, Nord. What brings you to my humble shack?"

"I was to upgrade my sword, but I need your help to do so."

"Of course, Barbarian, no biggie, hehe. Have a look at some of my other wares while I work on your sword."

Eric grinned. "Thanks, but no thanks, I guess."

Godricsleif was upgraded to WP: 6 by Anwyl:

215 - (40 + 50 + 60) =
65 gold
left

Happy, Eric left the marketplace. His greatsword seemed lighter than ever. Almost as if it was happy at being restored and not wishing to burden its master.

"I have reduced the price of my Fang Dagger, for mages and rouges, to 20 gold. That is 20 gold for a weapon of power 4. Half the price of upgrading a weapon to that strenght."

De'kra walked in to hear a barbarian give a great deal on a level four weapon. Walking to her, he clicked, "I interested in blade. If you agree to trade, wait short time, I will have to sell old weapon for money. Okay?"

Sylph returned to the Market. He first sold his Staff (WP: 3) for 15 gold giving him 105 gold He then bought a new Mockthril rod with a decorative sickle edge (WP:4) for 40 gold, leaving him with 65 gold. He then returned to the hall, hopefully to come into more money soon so that he could further upgrade his weapon.

De'kra waited for the barbarian to reply. The Fang Dagger looked glorious, as sharp as a Direwolf's teeth. More important in the mind of this shade, it was a level four weapon, which could improve his ability in a fight considerably.

Posted (edited)

De'kra nodded firmly. "If deal," he said, "I have to trade old weapon for money. Not take long to sell. Okay?"
