"Miirym?" He noticed the winged reptile perched on Arthur's shoulders. "Ah, I see you have become a dragoon, just like Thormanil and Hoke. Are eggs just falling from the sky? Heheheh..." He thought about trying to pet Miirym but upon reflecting on his many experiences with temperamental dragons thought better of it.

"I was not aware that the Guild held grudges against your people... or at least, I do not. You are from family Regulus, yes? Ehehm, but yes while we are here it will not be a problem."

Hybros turned around and purchased the requested items (500 /2=250 gold spent) for Arthur, and swapped them for the Heavy Flail and Medal of Glory. "Oh yes, I almost forgot about these, heh. Thank you for holding onto them..." He looked to the sky and did some mental math. "Erm... since you were so kind to deliver these to me, I will only need 80 gold more... eheh."

"So where is it that you are travelling?"

"Regulus...that was my father's name. Given some of the things I've learned about him in recent months, it's not a name I'm particularly proud to bear--not after what he did to my village, to my mother... To both my mothers, actually--the one who raised me, and the one to whom I was born. My birth mother reached out to me several months ago, and since then I've been living with her and my half-brother Noel, trying to make up for all the years I've lost."

Arthur passes over the 80 Gold.

"Well, we'd like to get to Xu if we can, see how things have progressed since the coup. If not, we're headed to Dastan, so that Miirym can meet some Dragons that weren't hatched with Heroes--a bit of reconnecting with her heritage as it were." Miirym continues to eye Hybros beadily, but seems to remain otherwise impassive. "Thanks again, Hybros, I really appreciate it. It's not often a Ziegfried can be on such good terms with an Alchemist--let's hope it's a sign for the future, eh?"

Thalion enters the Marketplace and heads for Anwyl's wher he upgrades Hoke's Orb (Zoot's Order) to WP 40 and adds a Diamond, an Amethyst, and an Opal to it for total of (550 * 0.75 = 413 gold). He also upgrades his Ribcage Shield to SP:12 (100 + 110 + 120 = 330 * 0.75 = 248 gold) and Duplovian Swift Halberd to WP:10 (40 + 50 + 60 + 70 + 80 + 90 + 100 = 490 * 0.75 = 368 gold)

He sells two Silver Ore's for 120 gold.

He also makes a stop at Portia's where he buys 20 remedies, 6 Grand Tonics, 3 Mulled Wines, 5 Smelling Salts and 4 Phoenix Essences for total of (870 * 0.75 = 653 gold)

After the purchases Thalion walks out of the Marketplace with total of 2273 + 37 (left over from Hoke) - 248 - 653 + 120 - 368 = 1161 gold left.

"There is a quest that I believe is heading to those countries. If your are worried about the Great Guffington's reputations, I can assure you he is a very good and generous man."

Hybros looked around. "It is no problem, but I do not think I will be able to help you with the discount again any time soon. I am taking leave of the Guild for a while for a practice more... cunning, eheh. And that is where I am going now. I will see you in the Hall, Arthur."

With that, Hybros departed for the Training Room.

"Thalion!" Arthur calls. "Gods, how long has it been since we've seen each other? You seem well. I hear you're an Artisan now?" Arthur notes the ex-Mage upgrading Hoke's gear. "Say...I wasn't going to do this, but since you're here...would you mind upgrading some of my equipment? I could probably afford to pay you 1800 gold for these upgrades."

"Arthur! It is so very nice to see you! Yes, of course, it will be my pleasure to help you out". Thalion takes Arthur's things and gold and works together with Anwyl to upgrade it for a total of 1800. He bows to Anwyl and leaves him the remaining gold.

"Here you go my friend!" Thalion hands Arthur back his equipment and turns to Miirym, "And who is this? Hello there..." Thalion looks around his backpack, takes out a piece of snack and hands it to dragon.

"I am sorry my friend, but I have quite a few things to do, we can continue talking the Hall. In the meantime, expect some changes!"

Hybros returned to the marketplace, this time making a beeline for Anwyl's Smithy. Now that he'd be wielding two weapons simultaneously, it was time for some upgrades. He handed over Zoot's Reaper and Justice to be upgraded four points each, to WP:19 and WP:12, respectively, in exchange for 700 gold (160+170+180+190). When Anwyl was finished, Hybros took the reforged dagger in his hands. He inspected it as he reflected on his periodic visits to his people, where he had learned a few words from the language on Olegaia at the time that the imps still roamed free. To honor them, he decided to rename Justice so that it was now known as Iustitia.

Zoot's Reaper looked sharper than ever, but it was still not finished. Hybros returned the weapon as well as 100 gold to Anwyl and instructed him to forge it with his four Mythril Shards that made a whole Mythril Ore. It took several hours for the 'dwarf' to work with the unusual material, but eventually the black goo of a Zoot's Plaything was merged with one of the strongest metals on Olegaia. The sickle sword that had once been a scythe now glimmered a bright blue over the dark metal from the goo and the crimson tint from the Haze. The finishing touches were added with a Grating Stone.

Finally, the imp drew the Sword of Ancestral Hatred and had it forged with a Ruby, Sapphire, Opal and Amethyst (200 gold), the latter of which he had removed from the Black Hat (50 gold).

Total: 1050 gold spent

Guts nudges Arthur, and says quietly: "Do you have it?"

As Thalion returns to Heroica Hall, Arthur spots a third familiar face--but this time, it was one he'd expected.

"Hello, Guts," he says, holding out the Scroll of Fear and Scroll of Sloth. "As we agreed, that'll be 300 gold. Enjoy." Arthur is about to speak more, when a pink envelope bursts into existence in mid-air. Miirym climbs further up Arthur's shoulder as he opens it.

"<Is this...?>"

"It is." Arthur gives Miirym a joyful grin, followed by a serious expression. "Now remember, we have to be careful. We don't have the Veterans' spell to keep us safe--only the Heroes, and each other."

Miirym nods solemnly. "<I understand.>"

"Good. Then let us go meet our new employer." And with that, the pair departed for Guffington Manor.

Guts hands Arthur the 300 gold for the scrolls, and choses to ignore the rest of the character's peculiarities. He then ruins Portia's day and sells back 1000 potions for 2500 gold, as well as 4 gold bars for 50 gold each.

The newly minted Marauder opts not to buy from Portia and gets himself a new magic compass instead (-50), and has his two new scrolls imbued in his shoes for 50 gold each, and finally picks up a Marauder's Mantle (-500).

Convert silver and crystal ball to gold - 50 + 60 + 60 + 60 Gold = 1136 total gold

Remove amethyst from longbow - 50 Gold

Insert amethyst into crossbow - 50 Gold

Upgrade crossbow to WP:26 210 + 220 + 230 + 240 + 250 + 260 = 1410 Gold

100 + 1410 x 0.75 = 1133 gold

3 gold left.

On my way to Guffington manor I meet up with Thalion, handing him the list of purchases.

Thalion takes the items, and works on the upgrades with Anwyl. When the work is done, he hands the items back to Dyric.

Then he buys Magic Compass and Tin Helmet for (50 + 80 = 130 * 0.75 = 98 gold) and heads out the Marketplace.

After leaving the Hall, Purpearl makes her way to the Marketplace and removes the Diamond from the Chaotic Whip.

803 - 50 = 753 gold

Annienal makes her way into the Marketplace, where she immediately heads to Portia's. She purchases two grand tonics, costing her 60 gold (30x2=60), leaving her with 20 gold (80-60=20). Annienal then leaves the marketplace, looking over her notes she jotted down from the quest board.

Calamity sells her Treasure items for 35 gold, and has 156 gold in total. With that she buys a bedroll, 3 remedies, 2 potions and 2 tonics. for 75 gold and is left with 81 gold.

Jinnipher made her way from Gabriel's place to the Marketplace. It was time to upgrade some of her equipment and pick up a few supplies.

She visited Anwyl first and sold her Crescent Sword and Full Moon Shield and slid 25 more gold across the counter to purchase a replica of her old shield. The 'dwarf's' craftsmanship was good and the round shield felt sturdier (SP:5).

She then bought a Deadly Venom, two Potions and three Remedies from Portia, and a Shovel from Gnomeo. (-100 gold)

Finally, she stopped at Fabian's. "Hey, you. Take a look at these boots." She showed him the Vorpalis Conquerors (Power +0; goes up by 2 for every enemy defeated, drops back down to 0 if the wearer is knocked out or if the battle ends; footwear). "Would you take these off of my hands for 200 gold?"

Finally, she stopped at Fabian's. "Hey, you. Take a look at these boots." "Greetings, sister. I'm afraid you are asking way too much for something that has no initial use in them. I can give you 50 gold for them, at most."

Karie walks into the Marketplace and immediately heads to Fabio's. She hands him the Fenerian Robes of the Vampire.

"There's an amethyst in here that needs to be taken out. Here's fifty gold." It takes awhile, but Karie's new robes are soon returned to her with the amethyst out of it. (2302-50=2252 gold)

She then makes a quick return trip to the hall, hoping she didn't take too long.

"Well the point is that you kill things first. Very well, I'll just hold onto these for now."

Lind quietly stepped over to Anwyl's smithy, and pointed to a halberd, placing the Amethyst and 100 gold on the counter.

A few minutes later, the Amethyst was mounted in the halberd.

"Y' one of those that name their weapon?"

Lind gently ran his finger up the blade. "...Star-Breaker."

"...Forget I asked."

Ezeran buys two potions and puts his hard earned 10 gold on the counter.

Terry heads to Fabian's, and sees a leather cap.

"Just like the one pa wears..."

He buys it for 30 gold.

Kheyli makes her way down to the market, beaming. There, she purchases two potions.

Warlen walks in and sells his Ethereal Cloak for 110 gold (490+110=600).

Then he gets 1 grand potion (10g), 2 grand tonics (60g), a Phoenix essence (50g), 4 remedies (40g), 2 meads (30g), and 4 smelling salts (100g). Total 10+60+50+40+30+100=290.

Then he purchases 2 smoke bombs from Dain. (10g) 290+10=300

600-300=300!

EDIT He also gets Fabian to remove the garnet from his Locustoid Greaves. (50g).

300-50=250!

Finally, he offers the Viper Scale to Fabian (worth 40g to a certain someone).

Get Hyped! The Hyper Viper becomes extremely excited. Next round, its level is doubled and it becomes Hastened. (Reverts back to normal after one round.)
