Those tracks look brutal!. Will you make a video of it in action?

Looks great! I like the chairs as well.

How did you make the RC pneumatic valves? I'm always curious to see how other people build the RC pneumatic valves. Any close up pictures of this section?

Great pictures too!

Nice build, and nice presentation.

Great looking model with some massive tracks :)

What are the dimensions of the model ? It looks pritty big.

@ P4trickvH, Dimensions are 46 x 75 cm with equipment

@ olaf9198, Yes the warning lights can flash. (The flashing is turned on and off remotely)

@ dhc6twinotter, No pictures now will make them later. would have to make a new one since its all covered up by the cabin.

@ basbase, I'm planning to. don't know when however. It's quite difficult to find a good location, since there is now snow around :cry_sad:.

can you show me the system I am very curious about it

I didn't know this was a common design around here. But it's a quite easy one so it's quite possible.

The trick for keep your motors in good shape is to not to keep te power on for to long.

Not doing that I can imagine you could ruin your motors

Wow! This is gigantic!

...and this is a beauty! I love it. The pictures are wonderful.

The only thing of improvement I would suggest is the height of the cabin.

In the Kässbohrer documents it looks taller. Around three to five studs I think.

Blade construction, nice and I like the degrees of movements as you described them, raise/lower, tilt and turn! May be a completely black blade woudl further perfect the look! How far up and down you can move it?

Carriage: Best I have seen so far! Most close to the real thing, Rubber tires! Even the "slaggy" threads are very close to the real thing. How good do the treads stay in place when moving around/especially turning? I can imagine that the tread itself is very sturdy.

The location of the tiller attachment is also very close to the real thing. The most difficult thing to realized properly. The original has somehydraulic transmission to the drive wheels that makes it hard to realize it in Lego. The tradeoff is of course a wider "wheelbase" to accomodate drive etc.

Tiller: This does not convince me fully. It serves the purpose for the model, but I think more functionality could be added, i.e. drive the snow-chopping thing...

Interior: Beautiful! Seats 10 of 10, the headrest is my favorite. even the drives console is built in!

A hint for trying it outside: Close up the underside as much as possible to avoid snow coming into the chassis. The "shovel-effect" will take a lot of power from it!

closing word, again Wonderful! A favourite MOC!

@ freakwave, you surly seem to know a lot about them. Are you a big fan of snowgroomers or?

About the height of the cabin,

I had a drawing with the dimensions in studs on it so it should be just about right. however the compartment behind the cabin (where the receivers are) is indeed a bit to high.

The blade,

Yes completely black would be just perfect. However my mom and dad get a bit frustrated when they see the amount of money I spend to Lego, so I can't buy the parts necessarily. The blade can move up and down from the "floor" to 5 cm above.

Tiller,

I know this isn't the best part I couldn't find much reference material so it was just imagination. Extra functions are hard to build in. first I only have 2 RC motors left and 1 XL motor. Second all the switches and receiver-channels are already in use.

Driving,

On wood it drives perfectly it can even crawl up the remainings of my liebherr Crane. However all the studs create an awful lot of friction when used outdoors making turning extremely difficult (this is on materials as grass, sand and stone).

Yes, I am! I like them very much. I am building one myself. However I seem only to build when there is snow actually as I want it to drive in the snow. Which effectively put me in the third winter season of building :-).

However now I am satisfied with the drivetrain and it can handle the snow properly.

Regarding the dimensions I use the Kässbohrer website

Oh yes, Lego spending ....:sweet:

I can see the stack of PF connectors in your pictures, amazing :-)

In my tiller I did I put 2 function to the back, lifting the yellow side "protectors"/smoothening thing and driving the shaft to hack the snow.

I am using the 1 x 4 Gear Rack in Yellow to get a nice pattern in the snow, it#s working great. Disadvantage is a bit fat tiller. Two years back a got basically all BL had (8 pcs). Just checked and there are new ones available .... at, ups... 1,45 EUR!!!

Your groomer looks good! The flaps of my tiller can lift to but that's manual.

And as promised, The warning lights

Thansk for sharing the video!

I like the way the blade moves! Would be nice to see the pneumatic hoses in its belly!

If you had been able to source the old style pole reverser switch (6551), and used a couple of adapter cables, you would have saved a bit of room. The old style pole reverser switch (of which I have six!, and only available in two technic sets,) allows a rotating axle to create a continous on-off sequence on the output. This was on feature sadly lacking in the new switch.

It is a very impressive model. Well done!
