Masked Builder Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 "I do not wear Rouge," mutters Atramor angrily. "And I don't know what wisps have to do with anything." "Oh sorry Gibbin." OOC: that was supposed to "whispers".
Khorne Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 These are not the crates we are looking for. I suggest we move along and search for crates with a crown insigna.
Rufus Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 These are not the crates we are looking for. No, but those crates bear the insignia of the Ziegfrieds. This information could yet be useful to us. If I remember correctly, all we have been commissioned to do is find crates marked with a crown; however, I'm sure the Ziegfrieds would also be interested to know that their crates are here. Anyhoo, well done Boomingham on sweet-talking the guards (and winning the gold). Let's move on to aisle four, treading carefully as usual.
CMP Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 "Ziegfrieds...I bet it's something magical. And by extension, valuable," Atramor added. "We should check it out later even if we do find the Crown crates."
Sandy Posted August 31, 2011 Author Posted August 31, 2011 The party heads to the fourth and last aisle. It is devoid of life, but there is a small door on the back wall. The party looks through the crates, but none of them bear the crown insignia. The party has now checked all crates in the whole warehouse. So what has happened to the Hinckwell crates? What will the party do now?
Rufus Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 "I guess back to those Ziegfried crates." I agree. It's possible they've been taken through that back door, but let's check the ones here first. I guess we'll need to kill those guards after all.
Masked Builder Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 "I guess that is the smartest move." "Let's do that."
JimBee Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 I'm in. Assuming the Ziegfrieds are rich magic users, there might be some valuable items in the crate.
Sandy Posted August 31, 2011 Author Posted August 31, 2011 The party decides to return to the third aisle. The guards noticed the party approaching them immediately. "Hey, Lord Sucks-a-lot is back. You brought some friends to rip us off some more, huh?" the guard named Bart growled. "Well, it ain't gonna happen, pal! Nobody messes with Shadeaux guards!" The three guards promptly attack. Masked Builder Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 "I shall attack the Shadeaux Guard (Axe), from the back row."
CMP Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Atramor jumps to the front row, and swings his Chain Whip at the Shadeaux Guard (Spear)!
Rufus Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Let's try the battle order that was so successful last time Eric Alexis Atramor Boomingham Hybros Rufindel (In case you're wondering, this is a good idea in theory: both Eric and Alexis have the potential to harm more than one enemy, so they might take health of all three; meanwhile, if Rufindel casts a Miracle, he'll heal any damage done that round) I'd also suggest that, rather than each guard targeted by two people, four of us should target one baddie, and the other two target the other two. If the first target is defeated, any remaining attacks will be redirected to one of the remaining baddies; it's better to finish one off entirely than have three weaker baddies still standing. I'll attack the Sword Guard from the Front Row
Khorne Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 I'll attack the Shadeaux Guad (Spear) from the front row.
JimBee Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Sounds like a plan, boss. I'll attack the Shadaeux Guard (Spear) from the front row.

Eric lands a hit on the spear-wielding guard, causing 8 damage. Alexis is attacked by the guard with an axe for 3 damage, because she was standing in the back row. Atramor hits the spear guard for 9 damage, followed by Lord Boomingham's finishing strike that takes the guard down. Hybros moves on to attack the axe-wielding guard for 8 damage. Rufindel's spirit guard protects him from getting stunned by the third guard. Two enemies remain, so the battle continues. CMP Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Atramor spins around, and whips the chain whip at the Sword Guard from the front row!
Masked Builder Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 "I shall attack Shadeaux Guard (Axe) from the back row."
Rufus Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Same tactics, same order! Eric Alexis Atramor Boomingham Hybros Rufindel I'll attack Axe from the Front Row.
JimBee Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 I'll also go for the Axe Guard from the front.
Khorne Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Pulling his blade out of the corpse of the Shadeaux Guard, Eric prepares himself to dispatch Shadeaux Guard (sword) to the afterlife. He takes a place in the front row, ready for combat.

Eric gets an extra critical hit on the sword-bearing guard, dealing a whopping 14 damage. Alexis shoots the guard with the axe from afar for 8 damage. Atramor gets stunned as is unable to participate during the next round. Lord Boomingham is damaged by the sword guard, but thanks to his shield he only loses 3 health. Hybros is stunned as well, so both rogues are out for one turn. Rufindel misses his target. Two enemies still remain, and two allies are stunned. The battle continues. Rufus Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Bah. Lady Luck really hasn't been with us. Battle Order: Rufindel Eric Alexis Boomingham I'll attack Swordy from the Front Row. Booomy, I'd suggest you take the back row for this round.
Khorne Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 I'll take the axe guard. I'll kill him from the fist row!
CMP Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Atramor falls backward onto the ground, eyes rolling. McCafferey is thrown out of his hat, and bawks discontently.
