Masked Builder Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 "Now this is tempting. I'm still not sure what to do."
Rufus Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 *Whispered* I am still not in favour of betraying our sponsor, even given the increased bounty. That is a path that leads to the Dark Side .... of adventuring. Plus, is the added Experience of killing this Shadeaux lady not worth the reduced reward? However, I am alarmed that she says she is not outnumbered, and I wonder what tricks she has up her sleeve. I will bow to the wishes of the majority.
Khorne Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 "I say we take the offer. If the woman's lying to us and won't give us our money, we can still get rid of her and gain some experience" Eric said, confident of his choice, "Just like Rufindel, I will do what the majority wishes. Should we raise hands to see who is in favour of taking the Shadeaux money and telling it were the Siegfrieds who sent us?" If a hand-raising is to be called, Eric wil raise his hand in favour of taking the Shadeaux's offer.
Masked Builder Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 "Yes I think her saying that she's not outnumbered does seem like she's hinting at having something up her sleeve." "If we go to a majority I guess I'll vote in favor of taking her money."
Zepher Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Boomingham laughs. "Atramor, you rogue." "Yes? Why'd you say my job?" replies Eric. "It's a saying. Let's not start a war here. Remember, we are heroes, we must retain at least some honor. Why start a war between the Zeigfrieds and the Shaduex over nothing? We ought to tell her the truth. I'll be honest, I don't like the Hinckwells currently. It really does smell like a set up to me. I don't like the idea that they sent us in looking for crates that don't seem to exist." Boomingham rubs his hands together. "But I do like the idea of more money... say we just tell her who sent us, ask her to keep it quiet for an hour, go collect our reward from the Hinckwells, and never go anywhere near the Hinckwells ever again." "Besides, if she's being dishonest, it will be our duty as heroes to dispatch of her, since it will make her a villain and a rogue." "She doesn't look like a rouge," says Atramor. "It's a saying. And if we do dispatch of her, then we will just tell the Hinckwells we didn't meet anyone. Though I would really prefer to not dispatch of her..." Boomingham winks at Umbra. She does not wink back. He convinces himself she must have not seen it.
CMP Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 "She doesn't look like a rouge," says Atramor. Atramor decides against saying this, as in his mind, she looks exactly like a rogue. "Alright. So I guess we'll tell her we're working for the Ziegs."
Rufus Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 *Still whispered* It looks like you are all keen to take this lady's payoff, against my better judgment. But I do not think we should bring the Ziegfrieds into this. We don't want to risk upsetting two major houses.
JimBee Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 I still agree with Rufindel. This does not follow our mission parameters, and in fact goes against them. If we tell her anything, we may end up not getting anything except a bad reputation. I'm in favor of fighting this sneaky rogue-like woman.
Masked Builder Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 "You know what, upsetting two major houses does seem like a bad idea. I don't think we want two bad reputations."
Sandy Posted September 7, 2011 Author Posted September 7, 2011 Umbra Shadeaux taps her feet impatiently. "So, what is your answeur? Who sent you? I du not 'ave all day to wait, you know, I am a buzy buzinesswoman, afteur all."
Masked Builder Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 "Well, I'm leaning towards just fighting her. Anyone else?"
Khorne Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 "I stand by my opinion to take her money, but if it is the party's wish to fight this woman, then I shall have my sword ready for combat. It is up to you all."
JimBee Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 I'm still for fighting 'zis woman, but if the majority want to try to double-cross three families, then I will go ahead with it.
Zepher Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 "I have said my thoughts. Rufindel, you have led us well so far ol' boy, make a choice and we'll stand behind you. Unless you bring the Zeigfrieds into this. Than I'd not be too happy. Doesn't seem to far to them and all."
Rufus Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Lady, we decline your offer! We are men, elves and imps of honour! We fight for a noble cause! Or something!
Sandy Posted September 8, 2011 Author Posted September 8, 2011 Upon hearing this, Umbra Shadeaux raises her fleuret. "So be it", she says with a smirk. Then she turns to the door, and shouts. "Monsieur Pennymoney, call ze guards! Oui, all of zem! We've got intrudeurs. And let the dogs out, s'il-vous plait, I need tu 'old zese scoundrels back until ze guards arrive." Rufus Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Three rounds? This will be tough. Had I known that, I'd have been much more keen to take the money. Oh, well. Ahem, hadn't Alexis and Hybros both taken potions? Battle order: Eric Alexis Atramor Boomingham Hybros Rufindel Let's try to get rid of the dogs first. One person attack the lady, two each attack two dogs and the last attack the third dog. I'll attack dog C from the front row.
Khorne Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 "I kind of have a bad feeling about this. I knew we should've gone with the money. I'm sorry it had to come this way, lady, but you're going down!" Eric will attack Umbra Shadeaux from the front row.
Masked Builder Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 "Ouch. I'll attack dog A from the back row."
CMP Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Atramor swings the Chain Whip at Umbra from the front row.
Rufus Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Eric will attack Umbra Shadeaux from the front row. Atramor swings the Chain Whip at Umbra from the front row. Ahem. Let's try to get rid of the dogs first. One person attack the lady, two each attack two dogs and the last attack the third dog. It's just an idea, you don't have to do it, but I do think it would be best to get rid of the dogs first.
CMP Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 "Oh." Atramor changes direction to the Guard Hound B mid-swing.
Zepher Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Boomingham laughs. "Calling guards? I thought you had more honor than that Umbra. And to think I wanted to take your money! We will beat you with ease." Boomingham lowers his voice and whispers to Eric and Hybros, "We should have taken the money. Oh well, here we go." Boomingham prepares to attack Guard Hound C from the front row, a twinkle in his eyes. He does not look worried in the least.
JimBee Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Hmm, should've taken the money, Tooms. I'll also attack Dog A from the front.
