TheDarkness Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Yep, only $12 shipping. Add "T4T8J4A" in coupons for another 15% off. Weathertop ends up at 52USD shipped with is pretty good. Cheers for that. I try avoid BN (my last order went missing completely, though I did get a refund) but as the sets I ordered are for myself, box condition isn't such a concern. Ordered 1 x Helm's Deep 2 x Weathertop 1 x Geonosian Cannon And to think I hadn't ordered any Lego for a few weeks. The counter on my desk now reads: Days since last Lego purchase: 0
Legoman Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 I try avoid BN (my last order went missing completely, though I did get a refund).. Interesting, I'm the same. Though the positive side is that if it gets lost, I trust them not to screw me over. Cheers for the heads up jamonlego & leng jai! I ended up getting Mines of Moria & Helms deep, both for the price Helms deep will retail for when it gets released here in September
pinioncorp Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 ...The counter on my desk now reads: Days since last Lego purchase: 0 I have to get one of those. I'd only need a counter for one digit. Great prices from Barnes and Noble, thanks for that guys.
feuerbogen Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 I have to get one of those. I'd only need a counter for one digit. Great prices from Barnes and Noble, thanks for that guys. Single digit counter for me too. My wife is very understanding
TheDarkness Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 My last order was on the 13th of May which is a record of late. Now I'm scouring everywhere again for bargains lol
TheDarkness Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Amazon.de ship the LOTR sets to Australia. Uruk-Hai army and Orc Forge on order :)
mnybks Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Barnes and Noble cancelled my order of the Lord of the Rings sets and the other items that I put on the order stating that it was only for the Us and Canada residence only. I'm a bit disappointed I was looking forward to getting them. has any one else had there order cancelled I had the same experience last year with the Pirates of the Caribbean sets.

That's certainly interesting. My Helm's Deep and Weathertop sets shipped today from BN. Certainly they have been bombarded with orders as it is all over the forums here. Add on to that, amazon.com lowered their prices to match.
MicroM Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I just got screwed over by BN with this latest stunt of theirs. I'm actually getting very frustrated - Brisbane (QLD) Myers wont release LOTR LEGO and now BN pull this crud after I thought I'd scooped up a good deal.

And who used coupons on what? Remember there was this sort or issue awhile ago with them where some people were having their orders cancelled and others werent

One with Helms Deep, the other with Weathertop and Mines of Moria. My wallet is definitely feeling it at the moment....especially with buying a couple of sets to get a couple of shirtless Darth Maul's from the Toyworld promotion in NZ that is currently on Thanks Brickset.com
TheDarkness Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I just ordered a Moria set and a couple more Weathertop sets. Will be interesting to see if they make it through whatever they are doing
MicroM Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 What sets did you order? And who used coupons on what? Remember there was this sort or issue awhile ago with them where some people were having their orders cancelled and others werent I ordered 2 x Helm's Deep + 1 x Weathertop. I applied that 15% off coupon - which applied to only 1 of the Helm's Deep. Shipping was about $24. Good luck if you've got the items at this price.

I was prepared for the worst, but have just checked and found that B&N have confirmed that both my orders (Helm's Deep and Weathertop) have shipped today. Thanks for the heads up, eurobricks.
Artanis I Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Ordered Mines Of Moria + some little sets yesterday. Shipping confirmation received today, despite my pessimism.
Clone-Trooper Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Ordered Mines Of Moria + some little sets yesterday. Shipping confirmation received today, despite my pessimism. So some people have had their orders shipped, whilst others are cancelled......... how random.
TheDarkness Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 So some people have had their orders shipped, whilst others are cancelled......... how random. Typical Barnes and Noble you mean. Of the sets I ordered last night, the 3 Weathertop sets have shipped but still waiting on Moria.
Mandarine Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Target Toy Sale catalogue will be online from midnight tonight, the sale starts 21 June for three weeks. BigW Toy Sale starts June 28. Kmart's sale is normally on at the same time, but their website doesn't say anything as yet. I'm hoping they put some decent discounts on, though my bank balance doesn't. Hi! Newbie here! Just thought I'd let other Aussie fans know I just picked up the 10188 Death Star from Amazon Italy for $430 ish including shipping. Remember that they deduct the tax when you order outside the EU... But the best part is that I ordered and paid on Monday and received it, impeccably packed, on Friday. Am gobsmacked! If you were holding out for a deal on this set, this is it! (I know for other regions this might not seem like such a great deal, but considering it retails here for over $600, and even good deal from the states include $100+ shipping, it's definitely worth it!)

What was the Shipping cost in that . Great deal by the way. I just picked up the Tower bridge for about $280 aus shipped to Brisbane from Amazon US (Is currently $399 at Myers) . Couple of days ago I got the Fire Station and the Grand Emporium for $367 shipped as well. Edited June 15, 2012 by Brisbane Lego Fan

So, was about 270 something euros for the actual set, minus tax, then about 80 euros for shipping. Edited June 15, 2012 by Mandarine

About 20-25 euro or so. But even with the now current higher shipping you still end up way ahead of Aus prices as youve discovered :-) Edited June 15, 2012 by Brisbane Lego Fan
mnybks Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Just to up date you all referring to B&N I sent a email to them referring to my canceled order as the email they sent me was referring to nook books and nook apps only being available to those in the US and Canada and nothing about Lego. I waited 24hours for a reply to my email and didn't get one and wasn't going to wait for 48hours for one, so I made another order for the Lord of the Rings sets before they were no longer available and good thing I did because I see that the Helm's Deep and Attack on wether top are no longer avalibale. This time I was successful the last 2 items on my order shipped today the Helm's Deep and The Mines of Moria. The only down side was I could not use the coupon code for the order as I had used it on the canceled order. The first order wasn't much different to my second order the only difference was a DC set 6863 and Star Wars set the Genosian Starfighter. So my order was Lord of the Rings 1x Helm's Deep 1x The Mines of Moria 1x Attack on Wethertop Pirates of the Caribbean 1x Cannibal Escape 1x Isla Dela 1x Captains Cabin So I guess, if your first order dousen't go through try again as I said the only down side was not being able to use the coupon code. And don't rely on there costumer service. Happy Building!
TheLegoDr Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 The funny thing about B&N is them using different shipping companies. I ordered the big 3 LOTR sets and the two by UPS were delivered within 2 days. The remaining one went with DHL and is still in Kentucky, last I checked. It is very odd. Hopefully other people will continue to get their sets.
TheDarkness Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Barnes and Noble have added Lord of the Rings Uruk-hai Army 9471, Gandalf Arrives 9469 and Shelob Attacks 9470 for those placing LOTR orders. Just had to place another order with a heap of 9471 sets headed my way. My credit card is again crying!

Just had to place another order with a heap of 9471 sets headed my way. My credit card is again crying! I noticed that.. But I'm staying strong! I could have easily spent another few hundred this morning when they showed up, But I'm working on restraining myself at the moment. That Uruk-hai Army set is mighty tempting to get a few - I doubt I'd get more than 3, but even so.. I could easily pick up a few others too. I swear it's far too easy to spend far too much money on these deals that keep showing up. I need to learn to be more productive with my time than spending so much of it finding so many good deals to spend money on
