Feel free to start new threads for each of your creations *y*

Then you could feed-back in the progress of your creations and hopefully make better MOCs.

So, captain Green Hair, why did you call this ship the Denise?

And old friend perhaps?

Clearly it was named after me (last name is DeNise :-P)

Fantastic ship with a fantastic name ;-) I love how real this looks, I hope you're having as much fun with your latest creations!

Green hair's needle work could put a retirement home to shame! *sweet*

The design aside I applaud your patience in creating something like that. So the Denise has sunk? I like the sound of that 'The Denise has sunk', could be used as a metaphor for breaking up with a girlfriend.

You realise that such a fine looking ship can't stay in the hands of the Dutch, we will be watching it with envious eyes across the channel and slowly and surely drawing our plans against you! :-P

A goodmetaphor indeed :-D

Well she lies somewhere in an Amsterdam canal, so dive away i'd say!

Have you seen the Le Requin also?

:-D Somebody here seems to be a fan of Mr. H. G. Wells......

I agree that it looks good, but if he wanted realism he should have built it out of balsa wood instead.

The thing is balsa wood planks and decks can be replicated easily and accurately with authentic Lego, large rigging configurations can not....... (A bit late, I know :-P )

Congratulations! What a wonderful ship you have here! You certainly know your ropes and knots!! I remember this thread, it's funny that you came here by your own means. But, what does "VOC" mean? It's been driving me mad for a week X-D , yet I've done nothing about it!!!

It means Verenigde Oostindische compagnie, wich in English would be : The united eastindies company :-D

Those guys rocked, us being the smallest country next to Portugal had many colonies *sweet*

If you're ever in Amsterdam, u should visit the Scheepvaartmuseum (Maritime museum) if you like to learn more. There's also the replica of the great ship the Amsterdam *wub*

Cheers!
