November 5, 201212 yr That is very cool! Not only is it something unique, it also looks terrific! Bravo!
November 5, 201212 yr This tractor is really nice. I had few oportunities to see such in real life. I like how it "shakes" just like real one with the same engine. And even the forward movement is not so smooth with this engine - originals with similar engines have the same problem until they reach a certain speed. Very realistic engine and tractor. You can follow the story of that creation here : http://www.nico71.fr...-stage-trailer/ The video of the model : After 4 month of work, I am quite satisfied of the result and my customer too, it adds a sucess to my industrial references.
January 3, 201312 yr One of the first models I built was one of your Unimogs, and I continue to be inspired. Great work on the tractor, I will surely build in the future. And the stage is lovely, I've seen many live shows on the north american equivalent!
January 16, 201312 yr Author If you likes maths, here are some : Very simple and very clever I think, the planimeters are awesome object ! I plan to build some other, include polar and orthogonal for the exhibitions at fanabriques in june, 2013.
January 16, 201312 yr Wow, that is crazy! Simple yet technical... What's the secret underneath the circle?
January 16, 201312 yr Author What's the secret underneath the circle? Nothing ! Juste a 40/8 gearing. The aim is only math : the green's theorem : http://en.wikipedia....Green's_theorem The trick is that the angle between the begining and the final position is arround equal to the double integral because the cursor follow a tractrix which is arround equal to the derivative underneath the curve, and the double integral is the surface thanks to green's theorem. Some readings : http://www.planimete...et/hatchet.html http://persweb.wabas...Prytz/Prytz.htm http://persweb.wabas...z/PrytzArea.htm ps : yes I will make instructions, it is very basic. January 16, 201312 yr This is great. I like how you use LEGO Technic to attract attention of people to things they would normaly find not so attractive.
