MadManMingo Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 BEAUTIFULL! Nothing less. Simply fantastic. Anyone know if Mickey26 is an aka for Jamie Berard? Otherwise - welcom on board Mickey! What an entrance!!!!!! Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Wow, that's amazing! MUST have.. It's cool to see some hairpieces that haven't been used before in any Creator sets. -Sci Quote
Zeya Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Looks great. I want to also point out that I am officially declaring 2012 "the year of the bride". There's a bride shown in this set, one in the upcoming minifigures series 7, and one in a special cake topper thing. Photos below of all 3. All three look like different prints, I think. New modular set bride: Cake topper bride: "Collectible" minifigure series 7 bride (back row on the left): Quote

Seems if you got all three, you could make up scenes from that "Bridezillas" show. I don't know if it airs outside of the US, though... Dakar Edited January 11, 2012 by Dakar A Quote
MadManMingo Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Never thought that I would have to lower my modular-shelf. There's room to spare from the Grand Emporium sign and up, but this magnificent tower on the town hall is going trough the roof Quote
arnoldtblumberg Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Oh that is beautiful, what a wonderful addition to the modular line. Quote
cimddwc Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Ooh, looks great, both in color (dark orange, I presume) and architecture! I'm just wondering if i'll place it as is stand-alone, mod it into 48-wide, or whatever... :) By the way, are that two croissants around the crest above the entrance? Quote
tafkatb Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Looks great. I want to also point out that I am officially declaring 2012 "the year of the bride". There's a bride shown in this set, one in the upcoming minifigures series 7, and one in a special cake topper thing. Plus, I'm getting married this year. Perfect! Now, if only the LEGO Store did bridal registries... Also, I noticed the front columns are the same ones Jamie builds in this video. Quote
MadManMingo Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I know that High Resolution is too much to ask for at this early hour. But come on Jamie. It's out in the open now. Might as well give us some good stuff to yak about until march Quote
LegoFan03 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 WOW!!! Amazing!!! I will buy it for sure!!! :) Quote
Ogre Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Looks great on its own...not so much so next to the other buildings. Sooooo, I'll just have to buy two, MOD it a bit so that it looks 'proper' sitting by itself in the centre of town. Quote
The Blue Brick Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 (edited) This is absolutely magnificent! I'm just wondering what the interior will consist of. Edited January 11, 2012 by The Blue Brick Quote
nesquik Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I told y'all there would be a wedding Looks smashing! Just take my money damn it!! Quote
LegoFan03 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I'm excited already! Do you have pictures of interiors? Quote
snaillad Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Looks to me like those new mudguard pieces are used well just above the windows. Gives a nice subtle effect. I certainly will not complain about getting alot more windows! I feel it looks better on its own rather than next to the other two modulars but ill build something that fits in next to it! I will definately get this set! I would take a guess its due out soon if the pet shop was anything to go by, pics came out very late, just before release. I Guess it also spells the end of the FB as its not in the group picture. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Well, it looks like everyone was right when they kept saying Town Hall. I think it looks amazing and TALL. It fits right in with the Fire Brigade (which is the only modular I have, and the only modular I wanted). Which means, I will want to get this. It just seems to fit in better with that, but I'm sure it wouldn't be too out of place with the other modulars. I've considered the GE and Pet Shop, but they seem too "contemporary" compared to the older buildings. I guess I have a soft spot for older architecture. The color scheme works well. And I really like the size, but that means a higher price tag right? Even though Pet Shop was smaller with the same price, surely they won't give more pieces for less money. Anyway, can't wait to see more Hi-Res pictures and get it when it comes out. Quote

nicoga3000 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Love the look of it - my only complaint (albeit a small one) is how similar it feels to Fire Brigade. I'll be picking up GE sooner than later, and this will definitely be next (before Pet Shop!). Very excited. :) No prospective release date, correct? Quote
Dakar A Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Also, I noticed the front columns are the same ones Jamie builds in this video. Maybe he did this video when they had just started designing the Town Hall . So it might have occured to them then to show us their coloumn technique. This would be possible because it takes about three years to design a lego set, so it might be the reason for that video! Dakar Quote
eiker86 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 (edited) Is that 1x2 brick modified with 1 stud on side holding those two 1x1 round tiles ond the 2nd floor (3th/top floor)? Proberly a 1x2 technic brick =( And it seems like 1x8 bricks on the side wall, not confirmed though. Edited January 11, 2012 by eiker86 Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Impressive, very impressive...8 minifigs and some neat furniture pieces and dark orange, nice to see the colours mixing the street scape - not boring. Aw, there's a wedding too, cuter than the one in the town plan set....and since my wife loves anything to do with weddings does that mean she'll want it. And I wonder what's next ah, well that's for 2013 eh ? No interior shots of each level yet ?.....No, well I'll wait then. Besides, this is the best modular ever possibly equal to at the moment of the green grocer. Quote
SwissBrick Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Hi guys! New member... Not sure if these pics have been posted already, so here you go! Reminds me of the Back to the Future Town Hall but my memory might be "corrupted" as I am definitely fond of this set, can't wait to see the interiors... I had been disappointed at first with the Pet Shop but as soon as I had it in hands, I found it marvelous, I am sure I will get even more pleasure with 10224 (as I had with CC and GG). Thank you soooo much for your post Mikey26, you probably made the day of thousands of AFOLs (no kidding...) Cheers from Switzerland Quote
