LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Hi guys! New member... Not sure if these pics have been posted already, so here you go! This is a great set! I love the beautiful details! Quote
bootz Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Yes that's cutaway, the real thing is enclosed. The elevator car is enclosed or the shaft is enclosed? Quote
mcbbvb Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 (edited) Well aren't they using "cutaway" photo for the elevator? yes off course but the build is just too simple. The elevator car is enclosed or the shaft is enclosed? The shaft will be closed. I don't think the platform will be closed. Edited January 13, 2012 by mcbbvb Quote
Jut Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 The elevator car is enclosed or the shaft is enclosed? Just the shaft, I posted a birds eye shot on http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3328496&pagenumber=189 Quote

soundwave_sw Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I think the elevator looks too basic for such a large building, but apart from that I love the new building. keep in mind the building is 120 years old so the technology is appropiate. Even though it is not the most aestheticaly pleaseing feature, I have to give props to Lego for being able to include a moving functional eleavator. I also really like the open lobby space Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Finally, Lego have realised you need to get up and down the floors, the GE had something that would work one way in real life and other's stairs, stairs and more stairs.....good cardio workout eh ? I like the lift actually, the inside rocks as much as the outside....mayor's office, chamber for public meetings, plus more and more rooms....detailed too ! Ouch, Lego don't make me go back into modular's again....though I could anchor a series of my own modular designs surrounding this puppy ! Okay, I think this might beat the green grocer. I shall wait to read the first review. Quote
Ricecracker Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Please remember that the size limit for images on Eurobricks is 800x600. I've already changed any images larger than this into links, and will continue to do so. Please deeplink your images in an appropriate size so that we can all enjoy them here. Darth of Soals Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 (edited) Cool set... its good to see that their bringing back the trans light-green popsicle. (i MUST get one!) Edited January 13, 2012 by Darth of Soals Quote
Grimmy Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 (edited) It's beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I agree! I still don't have any modular buildings but I want one so bad. My niece really likes the pet shop and emporium but I think we should get the Fire Station (Fire Brigade) first, because that is the oldest still available? Am I correct? She would like it just as much if not, almost as much. I would love to slowly collect them and sorry I missed out on the Green Grocer which is now selling for hundreds of dollars and some say it's one of the best modulars. Edited January 13, 2012 by Grimmy Quote
ibecks Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Yes, Fire Brigade is the oldest and likely to be discontinued pretty soon. I'm still undecided on it as I prefer the more 'everyday' buildings like Cafe Corner, Green Grocer, Grand Emporium and Pet Shop. Also, if you don't get it, you WILL kick yourself in a few years when the price skyrockets and you can't afford it. So get it! Quote
arnoldtblumberg Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Has anyone heard of a possible release date? Earlier in the thread it was said to be March but then someone said they've heard February 1. Quote
Haltiamieli Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 A wonderful set, I'm seriously tempted to buy it even though I don't collect town or modulars. This could be a great parts pack for medieval builder, or starting point for making a medieval town hall. Sadly, I don't think I will have money for this. Jut, thanks for the pics! The shield (of which there are two in the set, surprise!) seems to have an... interesting design. I don't exactly make it what's it meant to represent? Nevertheless it's good to have new shield designs. Also, it seems the bride really does have a different torso than either last year's wedding decoration bride or Series 7 bride! Quote
IagoParrot Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Earlier in the thread it was said to be March but then someone said they've heard February 1. February 1st would be great! The modular sets haven't been released this early before and it's nice not having to wait until summer! Quote
mo123567 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I wonder what I can use to replace the croissants? Maybe a few helmet plumes? Quote

I noticed that the Lego store here in Burlington, MA in the US doesn't stock it anymore and it's no longer as built model displayed in the store. That's what made me a little worried but I see it is still on shop at home. :) Quote
