Arigomi Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 I suspect that jousting isn't the main focus because the big D2C sets are better suited to scenes that are difficult to replicate on a small scale. Something that captures the celebratory mood of a Rennaissance Fair would work. All work and no play makes the peasants revolt. Quote
Titan Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 But jousting tournaments is great for the peasants to root for their champions and time for feasting... Quote
Piranha Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 I wonder if they will design a new barding pattern for the Lion Knights to make the set even more awesome Quote
Angeli Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Oh common, could we not have some iny miny fantasy element, like a creature of some kind, or winged warrior, or even an angel warrior? It is not so much to ask, it is just one mold :) And, if fantasy is too much, implement it in a real life - winged statue in a church? Or, in this case winged statue on the square... ...as long as we are wishing :) Quote
LandShark Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 As a Castle fan, I'm very happy to hear this. But one thing I wonder about is what it contains. A bunch of Minifigures and horses won't be enough for a big set. It could contain some stands or tents, I suppose. But that will still be a pretty small set. Maybe it will have some kind of weapons store, for equipping the knights. I guess we'll have to wait and see... Also, this has officially overtaken 'Dino 2012' as the thing I am most excited about getting pictures of. Quote
de Gothia Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 I really hope it´s not some fantasy thing in this! Let Kingdoms be a non fantasy theme! Please! I would love to see one knight from each faction plus a faction that is totally new. A tent for each faction plus squires and soldiers. Some civilians, beer tent, some jesters and a pavilion for the nobles! Quote

Some civilians, beer tent, some jesters and a pavilion for the nobles! yes please, as many new kingdoms minifigs as possible - preferably more civilians and nobles than soldiers, then I can make the medieaval market village come to life a bit more Quote
blueandwhite Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 With the recent LOTR rumours posted in the licensed forums, I really hope that there are no fantasy elements in this rumoured set as it may well be the last chance to get a traditional castle set for some time. If LOTR does come to fruition, we'll have plenty of opportunities for orcs, dwarves, elves, and other fantasy folk, but it also means we may not see Kingdoms carry on beyond 2011. In many ways, this reminds me of the MMV and Imperial Flagship which served as book ends for their respective lines. Perhaps we'll see a late 2011 release if we're lucky. I'm hoping for a huge set with a lot of peasants and a couple of mounted knights. Dragons, wizards, dwarves and elves need not apply . Quote

For me a great set would be, Joust arena, seating for peasants, Royal Box, tents, feast area, maybe a few food stalls and weapons. new cypress tree mold, new horse bardings for both factions, squires, nobles, plenty of peasants and the royals. Ogre Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 If they take the idea of #6060 and 'flesh it out' to make it work on the scale that is expected from a 1xxxx series set, I think this could be pretty epic. I just hope that LEGO doesn't try to cut corners with it. We NEED an EPIC 'castle' set! Quote
