Hi all,

I remember a booklet which must have come with some Lego bought for me as a child in the early 80's (possibly late 70's). Not a catalogue as such, but a picture-story of a minifig who drives his car through country & town and ends up taking a trip on a rocket into space.

Now I know that doesn't sound like much, but I was hoping someone might know what I was talking about. I'm trying to track it down (pdf or similar).

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

I think I know the one you mean. If I'm right, it's one of the original LEGO idea books and I still have a (very battered) copy of it myself from when I was a child. There are scans of it on peeron

Cheers,

Ralph

Thank you - I remember having this many years ago, building some of the models... and it too brings back memories... now unfortunately lost during one of the dark ages.

Best Ideas Book Ever!!!! It tells such a wonderful story :cry_happy:

I actually have it next to the computer as I type. Unfortunately I used most of the stickers, but the book is otherwise in reasonable shape.

I have it stored away somewhere. Bought it new way back in the 80's and I don't think I touched the stickers :classic:

This is kind of off topic, but if you notice there is a mistake. On page 3, the windshield on the car is one stud ahead of the windshield on page 4.

Damn, that's a good eye, it indeed is different.
