Added a picture of the back, hope it is clear enough.

Just curious why I could not find any information on this online and Singapore is one of the slow places on Earth to get new LEGO release majority of the time.

I managed to buy quite a few of it. And apparently according to the retailer, he had tons of it in his warehouse.

Chongcheng, I strongly believed so!! Congrats to your purchase. Just leave some for us. I am also interested to pick this up too. :pir-tongue:

Thank you for sharing. Do share with us more pictures, if possible. So excited to see this available.

Wow! a battlepack of a license.

And it looks good enough.

Now if this will be made for all countries I want also Harry Potter and Star Wars sets like this. Or a set with 5 little green men from Toystory.

Looks cool, it would be a good way to get those rare figures. However, Big Cam brings up a good point. Are we sure it's a legitimate set, and not a knock-off? I see no set number or any other information that you usually see on Lego packaging. It looks genuine, but anything can be faked. Another thing is that we haven't heard of this before; it's pretty common to see a set months in advance of its release. :pir-sceptic:

Maybe if you could show us some pics of the figures out of the package and if you could tell us something about the quality of the plastic, we could determine if it's real. :classic:

Holy cow, that's awesome!

I find it weird that there is no set number of any kind, is it a really good knock off? It looks legit to me.

There is a set number on it - 853219. It's clearly legit - same style as the recently released Alien Conquest Battle Pack (set number 853301) which I bought at the London LEGO brand store yesterday

D.

The front of the packet looks really badly done, just like they've placed the logo on top of a tan background :pirate_sad2:

However, the back looks like the other PotC sets which is good, but the fact that the number is missing is quite puzzling...... Do the other battlepacks have numbers on them?

EDIT: whoops, Dr Dave found it - Thanks Dave!

Regarding whats included in the set, it looks good! The middle pirate and the redcoat are really nice and rare, the 2 zombie pirates are easy to obtain but can make good army builders, and it never hurts to have too manyCaptain Jacks (I already have 5, 4 of them being identicle)!

What a find 'chongcheng' :pir-grin: and I want two packs when I can get my hands on them....1 for my son to play with and 1 to keep MISB :pir-devil::pir-grin: oh, this one is going to be worth it.

Though I do see this as pay back at Haspro for trying out brick-built games and of course brick-built Transformers (footnote - the games don't sell well at all and no Transformer brick sets in Oz). :pir-grin:

These are clearly legit - they are the same style as the 2009 Pirates battlepacks which also did not have a set number on the front - only on the back.

Great find. Its great to hear I can get that redcoat and other guy with the tricorn without getting a larger set I don't want need. I wish it was more minifigs we could use more of. I already have enough jacks, and one of each zombie is enough. Oh well I definitely will be getting it if its around.

They just had to include a Jack Sparrow didn't they...

When I saw the topic title I thought "Hmmm, I wonder if it's just 5 Jack Sparrows?"

I'm a bit incredulous... three of those guys are from Captain's Cabin plus one red coat from London Escape, and another from White Cap Bay... they are the exact figures. Doesn't seem like much of a battle pack when every set has a Jack. You would think a battle pack would have red coats and/or crewman from Flying Dutchman or CotBP crewmen.

Battle packs normally have "generic" guys.

While I would buy one for my son, I do not think we would buy more than one.

I only need so many Jack Sparrows in my bucket o' minifigures. :pir-classic:

Battle packs were a great idea for castle as it's a great way for building armys, problem here is the figures. While it's great that they have done this, there is really only 2 figures here that ate worth having lots of and that the redcoat and the guy with the tricone. Jack comes in every set and the zombies are regular as well. Shame they didn't use this to incorporate some brand new figures we havn seen yet. Still, I expect I will buy a few, good find.

I'm glad I got my new soldier's torsos from BrickLink before these came out, I hate to think that the market might have been saturated with ones of sub-standard quality.

I also don't see it being much of a 'battle pack'. It should have two soldiers, not one, it shouldn't have Jack Sparrow because that doesn't make any sense, and it should have two generic pirates, not Scrum. I really don't like the lack of generic pirates in the POTC, it's one of the major reason's I'm not collecting the range.

I would welcome an all redcoats battle pack

this seems like a waste of money

Actually what truly intrigues me about this battlepack was its pricing in Singapore.

It was sold at retail price of SG$20.90 - compare this to the retail price of SG$29.90 of 4191 Captain's Cabin. This battlepack has all the minifigs in 4191 and offers 2 additional minifigs for a price much lower. I couldn't make any sense out of such pricing. But it sure provides me with a much more worthwhile purchase as a minifig collector/army builder.

Yes but the captain's cabin has a unique globe piece and printed bottles plus some other usefull bricks. I too find this set very useless especially for the fact it includes Jack and because there are no generic pirates / civilians!

What they should have done if they really wanted money is to include two bluecoat soldiers. Especially if the torsos don't have any flesh on them...
