Hello!

I am putting up my WIP MOC for a 1700s Public House ("Pub") in LDD.

I am willing to test out a few things on this, and, if it works out neatly, possibly build it for real.

As this is my First really serious Attempts at MOCs, I apreciate Suggestions etc.

The Idea is a small rectangular tavern on a Street Corner, somewhere in England in the 1700s.

Basically a Cellar from natural Rock, topped with a two-stories Building of Wattle and Daub, Limestone or another cheap Material. The Two Facades facing the Streets however, are neat Brickwork.

The Building should show some Rebuilding, e.g. An added Kitchen to allow for the whole Ground Floor to be open for Public, some more simple Rooms to rent, etc.

The Idea is to have a realistic looking, neatly kept Inn or Pub, that still shows it's been around a few Years.

You need to host your pictures somewhere like flickr, photobucket, or brickshelf just to name a few.

Regular members do not have enough storage space on Eurobricks for loading images.

Not yet visible is the Buildings Extention. I kind of build it roughly in the Order it was thought to be built and changed by the Minifigs back in the 1700s :)

I am a bit unsure if the Cellar-Windows can stay where they are...and how to prevent any Rain from flooding the Cellar :)

The Facade is made from single Bricks, although it doesnt show in LDD. I will ad Detailing, e.g. Bricks of diffrent Volour, later.

I have the Feeling the LDD shows the Colours rather dark, I wonder if there is a Way to adjust that.

I still can't see it...it appears the folder is not public yet...

Do I have to change some Settings?

No just wait and someone who works for brickshelf will make it public in the next day or so. Someone has to verify your pictures as suitable uploads (ie Lego related) before they're made public. You can however link to your pictures directly before they make your folder public.

Just go to your picture, right click and select 'copy link location' then paste the link inside img brackets. (or just click the insert image button and paste the link) It should look like this in your post:

I'm working on something similar for my first MOC contribution, although maybe a century earlier.

I am using the Olde Black Bear in Tewkesbury for inspiration as it's reputedly the oldest pub in Gloucestershire.

If you're fed up with trying to use brickshelf you could use something like Photobucket which is a free image hosting website.

I think you've got a really nice design, it's looking like it's going to be a pretty classy place to drink! Definately more classy than most of the Pirate taverns seen around here I think if it were me I would make this into a court house or something like that. Perhaps with some cells full of swashbucklers in the cellar.
