vean Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 (edited) European Drugstore Hi, I think my model could be a little bit better. So please give me some ideas. But don't forget that model is made with buyable bricks only. Spiral stairs are inspired by 'L@go' model: Link to L@go Drugstore More pics and LXF file are available on my Brickshelf gallery: Drugstore Folder Cost on LEGO shop: Approx. 464€ Thank you! Support this project! Edited October 8, 2011 by vean Quote

Hello 'lightningtiger', You're absolutely right. So I have updated the LXF file with new computer screens. Thank you again. Price on LEGO shop: 468€ Edited September 10, 2011 by vean Quote
L@go Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 I really like this - the exterior is nice, I especially like the way you did the windows, with the double arches and the skeleton legs and bars on the first and second floors, but the interior is particularly well done. I agree that the computer screens are better now, and it's a very good idea to place the tills and shelves diagonally on the ground floor. And I just love the storage compartments on rails on the top floor, that's probably my favourite detail. Looks very realistic! Those spiral stairs look very familiar - for a modular pharmacy/drugstore :) Quote
sonicstarlight Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 This is truly great! The interiors are especially nice - that compact shelving on the top floor is really quite clever. There is a lot of white on the facade, which honestly doesn't bother me in the least - I'm a big fan of white buildings and am working on my second white modular now. Maybe if either the window frames were dark bley or some other color or if the railings in front of them were something other than white, then I think they would pop a bit more and just that little bit of contrast that may or may not help. I would love to see this brick-built one day, but I understand that price tag is a bit daunting. Quote
Shawn Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 If you purchae the parts for this set, how much is it telling you that it is? Quote

Hi 'sonicstarlight', This is a comparaison beetween "white" and "colored" model: The result of this colors update is pharmacie 2.0 Pharmacie 2.0.LXF link Edited September 11, 2011 by vean Quote

This explains why I looked at everything about the pharmacy on the site. I wanted to construct a building with a spiral staircase to lose a minimum of space and also for the style. My problem was how to make the ramp. The way you made in your model clearly showed me the direction to follow. Difficult to deviate from this very good method after seeing it. A link to your model has been added in my topic. Edited September 10, 2011 by vean Quote

I'm happy that my model could be of inspiration - after all, that's what a site like Eurobricks is all about! You've applied your own twist to it with the clip plates, and that's possibly an even better way to do it. I really hope you end up building it and selling it to your pharmacist friend - or, even better, get to keep it for yourself :) Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 WOW! The external structure is wonderful, but the inner details are amazing! I like the third floor with that moving shelves ...very original idea! Nice work! Quote

Si-MOCs Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Very cool build - I must say that sliding shelf is by far my favourite part - it looks so real! really well done. Quote
The Undo Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Very nice looking building vean, and especially the interior details. I like both the colored and the white version of it. Maybe the white version looks a little "boring" in ldd, but it would look good when built with real bricks. Quote
Locutis Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 This MOC is absolutely wonderful! I do have one thing that sort of bothers me. The all grey one is nice, but it seems strange mixing straight with curved in some places. It may be just me, I don't know. With the white/colored one, I think the contrasts are too much, in my opinion. Although, I'm not a super-experienced MOC builder, I would have chosen a different color scheme. Maybe flesh and tan, or light grey/dark grey, or dark green/green. I love the interior details. It's spectacular! I'm not trying to pick apart your design or color scheme. I'm only trying to say what I would do differently. You did a better job than I would have at the design. Brick on! Locutis Quote

Very precious to improve that model. By using LDD "design by me" mode only, finding good shapes and colors in the same time is not so simple. The white model is nice, but the contrast with other modular models is too important. Adding some colors drives me to find an acceptable mix. But you're right about the angles. For the ultimate version I will use only curved grey plates for this angle (under the shop door). Quote
vean Posted September 18, 2011 Author Posted September 18, 2011 (edited) Thanks a lot for all your comments. Here is the final version of this creation: Brickshelf link My Cuusoo link I think I have to work on something else now. (Modular hospital, school or candy shop...) L@go Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 I really like the end result - it looks better with a bit more colour. And the touch with the wing plate on top of each staircase, as an extra step, is a very nice one. Quote

Hobbythom Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 All in all a great model! The colours improve the original. My favourite parts are the staircase and the shelving on the third floor! Quote
Cian Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Needs a decent comms cabinet or else I won't install any dispensary systems for them ;) Quote
