Big Cam Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Besides not having the background view, behind the Jedi, this is fantastic. I love your comparison shot, because your curve on the window is practically exact. I am getting these Blu-Ray's in the mail tomorrow, so I'm sure I'll be seeing this scene soon. Great job Oky! Quote
Hartfan Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Great creation. I love the last pic :D So funny :DDDD Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 This is an outstanding MOC! All in this scene is perfect: the details and the characters ...an absolute masterpiece! Quote
kyphur Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 It was still a 4 vs 1 sword fight, and three were killed immediately. He was good but not better than Mace, so it was pretty pathetic by the other three. As for how he took power, it's all so illogical that it's best not to think about. He caught them off guard, they didn't expect him to push the attack suddenly like he did. He was still able to mask his intentions from the force. I would also argue that he WAS better than Mace but he needed to finish turning Anakin that's why he "let" Mace get the upper hand. Once Anakin was complicit in Mace's death it sealed the deal. In for a penny in for a pound so to speak. Quote
Darth Yogi Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 this looks awesome. A little while ago I tried to build this, but to no success. Yours is the opposite. Clean, smooth and SNOTy. One thing I would change. To non CW characters Great job Quote
North Lego Star Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 This is an incredible creation, great job Quote
Praiter Yed Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Very nice Oky. A lovely contrast of angles and curves. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Just outstanding SNOT work here, notably in the curved wall. Quote
sharky Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Seeing this MOC makes me wish they did more Star Wars scenes and buildings. They would be great for general futuristic themes and the like. Quote
Silverface Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Good job Oky! The few things that I would improve are that (like someone already said) I think that the light red is a bit too strong, the other thing is that I would have put some more pieces at sides that it would look a bit smoother. Well those little things don't matter! Hope to see more mocs from you soon! Good work Oky! Quote
Ras 74 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 That is one really great looking MOC Oky! Really looks like the real scene from the movie. So nice with all the new Jedi Masters we got the last years. Quote
legobodgers Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Really nice Oky, I can only echo what others have said, I think that it is too strong in red, maybe dark red would work better. My other idea was to put a plate connected to the underside of the red brick on the side of the window with these. I think that that would finish that area well. Gorgeous MOC. Quote
Fallenangel Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 A stunning MOC Great, great job Mm... This is an incredible creation, great job Quote
Oky Posted October 19, 2011 Author Posted October 19, 2011 Thanks again for all the kind comments, everyone, although the most recent ones weren't too meaningful. I appreciate it, and you might be happy to know that I won the contest with this creation. May the force be with you. Quote
Mr Man Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 And you might be happy to know that I won the contest with this creation. Great congratulations . Quote
Rogue Angel Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 This is a great recreation! I would love to see Lego make a set like this an maybe include a few new jedi in it. I especially like the final scene with all the jedi gathered around. Great MOC! Quote
Little_russian_AFOL Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Most gratest MOC for ever. Also, in russian Palpatine said "ААААААААААААБ-СО-ЛЮТ-НА-Я ВЛААААААААСТЬ", and that was really funny. Quote
Erdbeereis Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Please don't bump old topics like this with such short comments in the future. Thanks. Quote
Fenaughty Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 While this is bad for a bump, I have only just now seen Oky's creation and can't believe no comment has been made on the fact his MOC looks so much better then the one Lego finally released. Quote
miles teg Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 I was just going to bump this with that same observation. This looks so much nicer than the official set. Well done sir... A awesome vision of possibly the best scene (Palpatines arrest) in eplll. Although it would be nice to see someone tackle the Sith mural on Palpatines wall, possible with some carefull greebling i think ? But im not sure if its in that actual chamber now i come to think of it. I'll have to re watch eplll with my son (again) to check that Quote
Oky Posted April 13, 2013 Author Posted April 13, 2013 Thanks everyone, I'm glad you still like this MOC so much! While this is bad for a bump, I have only just now seen Oky's creation and can't believe no comment has been made on the fact his MOC looks so much better then the one Lego finally released. Thank you! Although quite frankly, I don't get why everyone dislikes the official set so much. Sure, it's overpriced and underscaled, but what SW set isn't nowadays? It's clear that they would never design a set the way I designed this MOC and I think they did a fairly good job at making a nice playset out of such a boring room. Plus it comes with lots of nice minifigs. I was just going to bump this with that same observation. I'll have to re watch eplll with my son (again) to check that No, the mural is in the Anteroom that connects the main office with his private office as you can see below. The main office is really just a big round room with only some chairs, a desk, and two statues, so there's really not much that I or TLG could have added to it. But yeah, it would be nice to see a MOC of that mural. Quote
