Do we have any pics at all of the crawler?

Posting confidential pictures are not allowed here, but on Brickshelf there are few pics of the Crawler.

I wont post link, but you can find user 'sama', there are few of them.

When do we expect more better pictures of the crawler do ye think?last year did we not have a lot more info on 2h by now!

I know it sounds too late but by the end of Lego World Copenhagen (16.-19.02) we most probably have 1st real life pictures. Until then I really hope that we'll see "traditional" pictures from dealer catalog including preliminary description about the sets.

Is there no catalogue out now with 2h sets or is it just dealers that get them?

here we go. from the look of things, 9396 looks like it has a new swash plate mechanism, and new, aerodynamic, rotors. (let's hope so.) it's also got something weird in the tail, that i can't really make out. it doesn't appear to be a motor, or anything else lego currently makes. handle for functions, perhaps? then there is the tail rotor itself, which employs a 36z double bevel gear, for no apparent reason. maybe the tail rotors change pitch as well?

in addition to this speculation, the model almost certainly has the winch and landing gear. they might actually be powered, by a splitter, as seen between the rear landing gear. (unless of course i am seeing that wrong.)

and now for 9398. from the look of things, it may have 4 wheel steering. (look closely at the arrows on the box) i really hope that this thing has an xl motor somewhere in it, because even 2 medium motors would not be enough to move it. also, why only pendular suspension? given what i've seen zblj and others do, it's kinda stupid for that truck. but it may not be that, as the truck would have to have dampeners to get the suspension in the position it is shown in. although, it could all be photo manip. :def_shrug:

all in all, the heli is on my list, the truck, we'll see.

This "top secret" attitude about the pics is just a publicity stunt anyways.

And i don't understand why they take it so serious here... It's obvious that TLG can keep things silent.

Somehow, every year it seems there are "confidential" pictures leaked online. Every year around the same time, and TLG never complains?

Yeah, those pic's really are confidential :sceptic::hmpf_bad:

Probably many of us have hard copy's of the confidential models on their hard drive.

What i'm waiting for is some new ones. But I gues we have to wait until the early toyshows.

Somebody said something about a tractor for 2H. So far though, the assortment seems less than 2011, so hopefully we'll see a few more sets.

BTW, I guess my hunch about seeing a backhoe flagship model was wrong. Maybe in a few years.

Will I get in big trouble for posting those 2h pictures on brickshelf?

I wouldn't lose to much sleep over it if I were you... There have been videos up on youtube for the 3 or 4 weeks with pictures of all of the 2012 sets including the new Lord of the Rings sets... And Videos get pulled from youtube all of the time for every little thing, so I don't think Lego is too concerned... If anything, they are probably happy that those videos with the fuzzy pics are there so that they can generate suspense and build excitement...

I hear the Toy Fair is tomorrow (here), will there be any 2h Technic sets there? Is anyone going? Oh, and there is going to be another fair in February, hope 9396, 9393, and 9398 are there.
