Siegfried Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Sorry to pick on your first topic, but please don't make topics with useless and misleading subjects. But while I'm at it, please cut back on the excessive punctuation... Quote
fred67 Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 International website = nobody knows where you are unless you say it in your post or set it in your user profile. The answers to your questions could vary by country, so yes, it's important (don't feel bad, though, may long-time users have not set their locations in their profiles and ask questions or participate in discussions where it might have meaning). Solutions to your problems are simple... either create a paypal account or get a credit card. You can get a pre-paid VISA card, for example, so you're not actually putting yourself in debt. Many stores sell them... look online to see where you can buy one... places like WalGreens or CVS. Quote
Darkdragon Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 if you are in the USA, go down to your local drugstore and buy a refillable visa card. It costs 4.95 but then you will have a card to use online. Also, I recommend asking your parents to buy the parts because Bricklink is for 18+ only. Quote
Toadtorrent Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 The other option is Lego Direct (look for the phone near the back of your instruction manuals). Lego Direct does not take credit cards...only cheques...so if you have a chequing account you can use that. If you don't have credit or cheque capabilities...then either ask your parents to co-sign a credit card for you, get a cash card Visa/MC like mentioned below...or look for a Bricklink dealer in your City that will allow you to pay cash with a local pick-up. You will have to search for that Bricklink dealer yourself. Quote

Zeon Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 If you have a bank account, many stores take IBAN wire transfers. Look for the extra costs before selecting this payment method. Quote
Big Cam Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 If you are 17, I ca assume that you have a checking account. You can set up paypal with just a checking account I think, if not, go to the place that has your checking account and get a secured credit card. You put $300 into a savings account and then you get a credit card with a $300 limit. Great for small purchases, plus it will slowly help build your credit. Quote
