DraikNova Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 (edited) The way Stormer looks in SD's background is just gorgeous. And that ice cave entrance... Edited June 2, 2012 by DraikNova Quote
MakutaDreadscythe Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Looks like we're finally getting the Glatorian head mold with the 2.0 head mold's socket. Now if only they started making them in solid colors. Have you got a picture of the new mold? Quote
ZORK64 Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 It´s okay, our cellar was full of unnecessary stuff anyway. I hope I´ll be able to check on Monday, but maybe I´ll simply call the store to ask before going. I don´t want to go the day before the sets are released. -Gata Well, than it's good, I suppose... Since I felt better today I went to the LEGO store... just to find out the new HF sets aren't in stores yet. But hey, at least I got the Space Marine Minifig today. I'll definitely check in monday again, but I wouldn't be surprised if we still have to wait, say, two weeks or so. Quote
Bfahome Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Have you got a picture of the new mold? Check out Nex's neck socket. It extends down past the curve of the ball like the 2.0/3.0 head sockets. Quote
DraikNova Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Could this also mean that the 2.0 headmold is being reused? If so, yay! Quote
Shakar Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Eh, no. Why would they remold the 2010 helms to make them compatible with 2.0 heads? Quote
DraikNova Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Just wishful thinking. I honestly prefer the old style helms. They were more customize-able, yet similar, which made them feel more like the mass-produced robots they are. Quote
Bfahome Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Bulk, SD, and Voltix all easily show the Glatorian-style face. Either they're using two kinds of heads for the heroes, which would be weird, or they use an older piece remolded to match the current socket style, which has happened repeatedly. Quote
turtleman2020 Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Did anyone else notice that Evo and Nex's heads resemble a one color 2.0 one? Also Stormer XL sucks. His arms are short and his legs are horrble looking. Quote
Aanchir Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 I actually can't tell if Nex's head mold in that pic is in fact a new one or just an error in the rendering, like when Surge 2.0's lower leg armor wasn't actually connected to the ball joints on his lower legs. If it is genuinely a new mold and has the same style connection as the 2.0 heads, then I'm somewhat disappointed. I had hoped for a ball cup like on the modern Y-joints and fists so that the new friction joint could be used to lengthen the neck slightly. A ball snap like used on shells or the 2.0 head doesn't allow for that. Quote
Gatanui Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Thanks for the pics! I found the smaller images already, but I didn´t know how to get to the larger ones. This must mean they are literally around the corner! Have you seen the double points offer on the Hero Factory website? -Gata Quote
Kalhiki Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Whatever the connection on the new head mold (be it be like the 2.0 heads or a regular socket), I'm going to welcome it. Sometimes I like building with my sets, but this wave has been somewhat restricted due to the head socket. Same with the two-toed claw feet, but we aren't getting any of those in the summer. Kalhiki Quote
ZORK64 Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 I think the heads are basically the Glatorian ones, but perhaps with an improved and stronger socket to prevent the threat of breaking. But I was already expecting something like that in the winter wave, so yeah... Quote
Dorek Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 (edited) Cool, Furno's face. Haven't seen that before =P. Looking forward to seeing what it's about. Edited June 3, 2012 by Dorek Quote
Kadabra Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Got Le Black Fantome today, and he is epic. The helmet and breastplate are a lot smaller than I expected, though! Quote
DarkSurgeXL Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 I suppose German stores aren' t getting the sets until next week or in July, am I right? Quote
Gatanui Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 I suppose German stores aren' t getting the sets until next week or in July, am I right? ZORK asked and they said they would become available in June, but I wouldn´t be surprised if it weren´t before next week as they were already available at this date last year. I´m going to ask the LEGO Store Berlin, though. -Gata Quote
Kalhiki Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 I've sent an e-mail to Lego as to when we'll see them state-side. I'll inform you when I get a reply. Kalhiki Quote
Gatanui Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 (edited) I´ve just asked the LEGO Store Berlin and the sets haven´t arrived yet. They can´t give me a release date either. -Gata Edited June 5, 2012 by Gatanui Quote
ZORK64 Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 The sad thing is, they didn't knew an exact date for the HF sets in Nürnberg (Nuremberg) either. But they assured me the Minecraft set will be released soon. But as Gata said, the 2011 sets hit the German shelves around June, so they might arrive here soon too. Quote
Kalhiki Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 (edited) I heard back from LEGO. They said the best estimate was prior to September for a stateside release. So, basically, nothing we didn't already know. Kalhiki Edited June 6, 2012 by Kalhiki Quote
Aanchir Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 So the winners have been declared in that video contest on Tongal. Here are the winners and the awards they received. The winning videos can all be viewed at LEGO Club TV's YouTube channel. Needless to say, they're all really silly, and some of them are downright bad (IMO, of course), but the top-prize-winning videos are pretty enjoyable. Quote
Kalhiki Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Most of them were pretty good. Some so bad they were good. "Hero Factory Ride Along" and "Heroes Catching Villains" were probably my favorites. "We need YOUR Help," "Heroes Don't Get Paid," and "Hero Spice" were probably my least favorites. The others got points for having good stop motion and humor. Kalhiki Quote
Gatanui Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 I love Heroes Catching Villains. That one´s just hilarious and not at all badly made. -Gata Quote
