Antrozek Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 we totally need a blue/purple/cyan big bad dude. and make him/her control electricity just an excuse to make purple again Quote
Evex-Wolfwing Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Villains need villainous colors. That way the little children can immediately tell it is a villain. Not that his horns don't already display that. Looking behind me to where FIre Lord is standing, I have to say that the horns are a nice touch. A bit ungainly, but nice. BP/Overlorde's horns are smaller, and flow better. A step in the right direction, though his helmet could use some work. Quote
Front Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Next wave will bring beams in four "new" colours. Splitface does split :-) Quote
Jouster Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Next wave will bring beams in four "new" colours. Splitface does split :-) How exactly does he split? O_o Quote
Dorek Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Next wave will bring beams in four "new" colours. Splitface does split :-) I'm assuming Lime Green will be one of those? XP. Also teal/whatever that new color is. And who what now? He splits? Like, full on can be pulled apart? Baller. What about the helmet? Quote
Toa Mark Surge Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 It is possible that they will be, but I'd much prefer the 1.0 helmets (in 2.0 styles). It's nice to have things brought full circle, to have the characters more properly identifiable (even Evo has those nice grates on the side of his face that resemble his 2.0 headgear). Also, Overlorde? I could get used to that as a name. I've always liked the term. If it is a VN+Fire Lord combo, all the better =P. It's a pretty cool name, but the Black Phantom sounds better. The Black Phantom sounds like something that could enter your dreams and haunt you. Ect. I kinda hope both names are used at some time, but the Black Phantom implies that he is hard to find after the breakout. Quote
Kalhiki Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Next wave will bring beams in four "new" colours. Splitface does split :-) Woah. What? How would he be able to split? I took another look at the picture, and there's no possible way he could split in half, so that's out of the question. Since his name is Splitface I assume that only his head would split. Which is possible. There's a definite line dividing the two halves. My question is: what kind of head would he have if that's just a helmet? ... Unless his head is one whole piece, no helmet.... Vinyl Scratch Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Next wave will bring beams in four "new" colours. Splitface does split :-) Thus, my friends, confirms that we will have Hero Factory for the entire 2012. And Splitface can split in two parts? My body wasn't ready. I will see how you guys managed to do it. Quote
Mesonak Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Front was referring to Breakout, Vinyl. Though yeah we'll probably have HF in the summer. As far as Splitface, I have a feeling that all Front means is coloring. As in, complete color splitting. Red limbs, gunmetal limbs, etc. But that's just me. Quote

Too bad he doesn't come in a smaller version too. Quote
Dorek Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Amazon.co.uk HF book, for release next year. Sounds like 2012 stuff, but it looks more like an activity book than a story thing. However, it would be cool to get some story in book form, because that's the one media we haven't seen much of; I still have no idea what happened with those way old polish books, and what they said. Play With Fire Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Next wave will bring beams in four "new" colours. Splitface does split :-) If Splitface's face is two pieces that attach down the middle, that means... He has a Glatorian head. Great. :| I was really hoping LEGO would rely more on the 2.0 head piece. Also, four "beam" colors. I'm going to assume that two of them are dark azure and lime green... can't imagine what the others are going to be though! Only other colors I can spot for the beam/bone pieces are red, black and dark stone gray. Quote
Evex-Wolfwing Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 *Mental image of Splitface violently dividing into two separate entities * Me gusta. But yeah, I imagine they will use the Glatorian head for him. I just hope they fix it. They "fixed" the Mata Feet. They could do the same here. Quote

---Vertea--- Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 If splitface's helmet DOES divide, that could potentially redeem an otherwise useless part. I like his helmet enough, but the split color really can't be used for many other models. Same with the torso, but other than that, he's got some excellent parts. Quote

I really want a Adult Novelization, but that's never going to happen. Maybe even a Bionicle Legend sized book. Quote
Antrozek Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Next wave will bring beams in four "new" colours. Splitface does split :-) "new"? does this mean that, we'be getting back some colors we hadn't seen in a long time? or a different color palette of the always used colors? (green, red, blue..) Quote
Mr. Gundam Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 (edited) Next wave will bring beams in four "new" colours. Splitface does split :-) Gonna sound like a Debbie downer but how useful if it could split? Does that mean they're going to sell splitface with red on the left and gray on the right? That would be pretty useful so we can have a whole red/gray splitface. I just don't see the benefit. Although, the only piece that needs to split is the mask Edited October 10, 2011 by Mr. Gundam Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 *Mental image of Splitface violently dividing into two separate entities * Me gusta. But yeah, I imagine they will use the Glatorian head for him. I just hope they fix it. They "fixed" the Mata Feet. They could do the same here. If your idea of Splitface's splitting is correct, I will be watching the show for sure! And maybe a new headpiece so his face can split? But yeah, the Glatorian head would be the best choice for this guy, since the helmet has to be two different pieces, and the Glatorian face has the two axle holes on the side.... I digress. If they fixed the Glatorian head for the new building style, I would definitely get it so I could give my heroes better heads. I think that's what you meant by 'fixing it'. I like to put my 2.0 stuff on 1.0, so this could be the big connection. On another point, 'Overlorde'? Wasn't that a video game at some point? I seem to remember seeing something like that at the store...... I like the name, but the concept is WAY overused. And please TLG, no more converted heroes. Because I was getting really tired of that when I watched Rocka call Witch Doctor 'Aldus Witch'. Give us a hardcore bad guy, not some manipulated, sorry mess of emotions. Von Nebula's back story was really lame, and Fire Lord just wasn't evil enough. He talked WAY too much about the past and why he became the way he was. So by the time I watched Savage Planet, I was so tired of the 'manipulated bad guy' concept that I didn't even watch the rest. And I know that I'm hating on this theme too much, because it's for kids and can't have the deep story that Bionicle did. I just want it to be enjoyable for everyone, and reusing the old concepts is NOT enjoyable. Also, 'Front', if it isn't too much trouble for you, can you tell us how Splitface splits? Because it's really bugging me with so little information. Quote
Front Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 1: Look at the hands of Breeze. What colour is the ball they attach to ? 2: Red is not always just red. Quote
xxlrocka Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 1: Look at the hands of Breeze. What colour is the ball they attach to ? 2: Red is not always just red. 1:I haven't looked yet. 2:you are correct. Quote
Play With Fire Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 1: Look at the hands of Breeze. What colour is the ball they attach to ? 2: Red is not always just red. OK, so we have dark azure, lime, white, and possibly dark red? I don't know, looks like regular bright red on Black Phantom and Jawblade for their beam pieces. Quote
Bundalings Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 @ Front: So white, lime, and light azure or whatever that color is. I can't identify the fourth... hmm... @ xxlrocka: I don't think you quoted who you meant to quote. Also, rude much? Quote
Dorek Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 1: Look at the hands of Breeze. What colour is the ball they attach to ? 2: Red is not always just red. 1. Ooooh, white. Nifty. 2. More reds? Huzzah! Metru maybe? Quote
Lyichir Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 1: Look at the hands of Breeze. What colour is the ball they attach to ? 2: Red is not always just red. By the second point, are you referring to red's status as one of the main prototype/placeholder colors? The thought gives me an image of Black Phantom with medium lilac (Bricklink's dark purple) for his "bone" elements. Front, you are truly a master of building anticipation by mentioning tiny tidbits of information. Quote
