Underwater?? How bout something underground or in space

Underwater all the way! Underground would also be cool though. Dunno about out of space :O That would be weird. Flying would be cool to like the Phantoka.

Black Phantom looks considerably better. I actually quite like him now. :classic: I'm still not feeling the love for Jawblade or Thornrax, or Surge for that matter.

Surge looks awesome! I want him to have two swords, but 1 is ok I guess.

Still not a fan of black phantom at all. Only a few extra plates(Technic hole plates on his knees? o.0 )

And I'm not thinking his colors will look that sexy; You can tell he is overly CGIed.

With that note though, I am glad to see less red.

Speaking of red - is that Metru red I see?

Still don't get the claws on his back. Otherwise, I'm really liking him.

Also: Does Surge have 2 hands...? I asked this before, but the HD pics are as useless as the prelims in answering this, heh.

Black Phantom didn't change too dramatically between the prelim and the finalized version, but he demonstrates just how much a high-quality, well-cropped image can improve upon the look of a prototype image with unfinished textures.

I noticed when looking at the Ultrabuild Super Heroes sets on the same site that Black Phantom's black mace-ball is just two of the piece used on the end of the Ultrabuild Green Lantern figure's power ring blast. It works very well in my opinion.

Breez and Evo are still my favorite heroes. Nothing much has been newly-revealed about the heroes besides that Evo's chest pattern, which I had thought was a concrete-like texture, is in fact more like a circuit board pattern. Pretty nice, and it suits his name fairly well (even though I would have preferred Nex to have a pattern like that, seeing as he's "the tech guy").

Great to have these finalized pics!

Black Phantom looks better now. And I love that they got rid of those awful arm supports from the regular Fire Lord build. Though, I'd like it if he had the Hero under armor pieces for leg armor like Rocka XL (I'm a sucker for big ankle guards). Otherwise, everything in this wave looks good. My only hope is that they fixed the Glatorian head sockets.

As for other things, I noticed some interesting aspects of the backgrounds. It appears this line has everything: underwater, jungle, and even space.

Black Phantom looks somewhat beefier than in the prelim pics. But he's still a Fire Lord clone, so no. :sadnew:

Other than that, I don't see much difference in the other sets.

these sets have got every theme I wanted! it has got underwater, space, jungle, beehive and even the assembly tower! I vote 10/10 for these sets! :cry_happy:

Stop stealing my money Lego! I suddently really want to get my hands on Black Phantom and give him a Darth Vader cape (yes, I have one I never found a perfect wearer for, go figure). And is it just me or does his mask look like Hewkii Inika's Sanok?

My opinion on the other sets remains the same, altough I think I noticed a new piece: look at Jawblade's arm-shoulder connection..

I fail to see anything new about the connection. Looks like the same thing they've been doing since the 2.0 figures.

Wow. First impressions on these new HF sets is really good. Splitface is definitely my favourite, and I really like Rocka's bow and the green guy's hand cannons.

Look closely. It's a pin with balls on both ends.

Also, I just noticed that Black Phantom has double shoulder articulation - he has the shortest limb piece attached to each arm at the shoulder!

That's the 2.0 torso with wide shoulders on Jawblade, not a new piece.

The torso is turned so it lays flat(like how Raw-Jaw, Fangz, even Scorpio had it), giving the set the animalistic appearance. Nothing new there.

2 things - firstly, my bad, I guess I was trying to look for a new piece, heh. Second - I finally see how Jawblade's jaw is attached! Brilliant job by TLG. Seems the jaw can move up and down nicely. Definitely my favourite villain.

Speaking of Jawblade, can anyone tell what size armor that is on his back (the trans-orange piece)? It looks a little bigger than a size 5 (the size we've had before on other trans-orange shells).

I'm fairly confident that the armor is size 6. It seems to extend one stud length past the armor attached onto it, which is true of both 6 & 7, but 7 would cause issues with the tail. A quick mock up makes me think that Jawblade is going to be a pretty good set all around. I am a fan of nontraditional builds like his.

Does anyone know what Thornraxx's torso build is? The extra limb piece Waspix introduced is apparently how the arms are connected, but I don't understand the rest.

EDIT: Also, Toxic Reapa's? The 3 length armor can't attach in those places with just a standard torso. Especially the lower one. Also, I just realized how much trans green is in that set. So much love for this wave now.

Ouch, you're indeed right. Last night it seemed like that section was bent, giving me the impression of articulation, therefore of a new piece. I guess I shouldn't post when I'm tired..

Don't know about Thornraxx, but something tells me Reapa's going to use that extra limb piece from Waspix to connect the chest armor (and possible the head). He obviously uses a Hero skeleton torso, so the limb piece could connect to that, and the size 3 shells connect to the ball joints on it. If that piece is used, his head would also probably attach to it as well using the joint on the center of that piece. Not sure how the lower size 3 shell would connect, though.
