dviddy Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 I'm curious if Breez was initially not supposed to be inlcuded in this wave, and was switched with someone else rather last minuteish? Late enough that the movie and other promotional material couldn't be changed? But she should still be available at retail. She's in this wave, because TLG sent Breez out to reviewers. Quote

Yeah, I find it odd that Breez and Thornraxx aren't showing up in the movie or in stores. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Quote
Vinyl Scratch Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 (edited) LEGO. Just. Why. Do you refuse to show Breez or Thornraxx. I noticed that Stringer has some kind of... Claw. EDIT: One wonders what that black-hole thing is. I mean, Black Phantom is shown to be one of th villains who escape. What is that black hole? Is it Von Nebula? MakutaDreadscythe Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Von Nebula can be also seen among the escaping prisonres, so he's also not behind the breakout. At this point I really wish it was...Von Nebula 2.0 anyone? Quote
vexorian Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Von Nebula can be also seen among the escaping prisonres, so he's also not behind the breakout. Not necessarily, the escaping Von Nebula could be a fake Nebula cause any main villain that has some self-respect has copies of him to go to jail. Quote
Dorek Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 We've definitely opened the door for returning criminals. I'm just not sure if the VN we see in the breakout is our guy, or if it's just reusing the character model. Quote
Vinyl Scratch Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Von Nebula can be also seen among the escaping prisonres, so he's also not behind the breakout. Furno 2.0 is also between the prisoners :P Plus, I haven't seen Von Nebula on the breakout, mind if you give a screenshot? Quote
ZORK64 Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Furno 2.0 is also between the prisoners :P He is? I'm confused... Plus, I haven't seen Von Nebula on the breakout, mind if you give a screenshot? After , I start to wonder the spiked guy may not be Von Nebula because he got three spike pads (however, said character is too bulky to be Xplode). Quote
vexorian Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 The legs look very bulky. Almost like what the lazy designer behind Rocka 2.0 would do if he was to design Nebula 2.0 Quote

You can tell because he has Pohatu Mata Arms and the Ackar Shin armor. Edited December 27, 2011 by Vinyl Scratch Quote
ZORK64 Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Ah, my bad. But now I'd like to see a picture of Furno 2.0 among the prisoners. ;P Quote
MakutaDreadscythe Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Ah, my bad. But now I'd like to see a picture of Furno 2.0 among the prisoners. ;P There's actually an Evo 2.0 as well. Oh, and if you're looking for Furno 2.0, look for the goggles of death. They'll kill you till you're dead. Quote
The Crazy One Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 The Heros are there trying to cull the escape. And Von Nebula if he was there would be a filler as I also spied Meltdown twice in the same frame. Just editing magic...:P Quote
Aanchir Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 That new mini-comic is the cheesiest I've read since I think the "Dinosaurs" comic from 2001. I have to agree, the comics are really slipping, and I'm hoping that my suspicions are correct and this one is NOT based on the TV episodes. If it is, all my hopes for the upcoming TV special (besides of course its Totally Legit CGI) have finally been dashed. Or maybe not. After all, the Savage Planet(z? 2?) comic was miraculously even worse than the episodes, since it lacked any of the meaningful character development moments and had a lot of the corny dialogue kept in. The Surge vs. Splitface and Furno vs. Jawblade videos look OK... dialogue seems cruddy and the fight scenes are somewhat slow, but at least there are lots of cool effects. It's getting to the point where those are the only redeeming quality of the episodes... but hopefully I'll be proven wrong. In the very least if I go into this with low expectations, I might be less disappointed than I was with Savage Planet... Yeah, I'm getting the feeling Breez and Thornraxx will both be completely absent from the new Hero Factory TV special. If there's a summer special, I hope those two get their chance in the spotlight along with all the summer Hero Factory characters. The Hero Factory Breakout game looks interesting. The graphics seem only OK, but hopefully the gameplay is more satisfying than the games we've had so far. I am hard to keep entertained for a long time when it comes to video games, though, so even if the gameplay is somehow worse, I'm sure some people will be able to enjoy it more than me. I notice that the common collectible items in it are 4M bones, rather than the studs common in many LEGO games or the gears in BIONICLE Heroes. Overall, 2012 Hero Factory is a mixed bag, but the sets are exciting, and for me that's what counts the most. Quote
Aethersprite Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 (edited) With all the talk about Breez being missing from the TV show, I looked around for pics and watched a of the set. I never had a good look at her, I was really turned off by all that white, but to be honest, after seeing more of her, the white doesn't seem so bad. It doesn't stand out as much as it does as on Furno, I might end up getting her after all. Edited December 28, 2011 by Lockon Stratos Quote
Play With Fire Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 So... Breez and Thornraxx appear to be absent from the show AND they haven't been released in the United States yet. Odd. But they HAVE been released in Europe, apparently. I honestly wonder if Breez and Thornraxx are being pushed to the next wave to make the winter wave smaller and the summer wave larger. Quote

They're definitely in the winter wave, we already have finalized pics of them, and some people already have them. It's more likely their appearance in the show are either pushed back to the summer episode(s) or omitted completely. Quote
dviddy Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 What makes me curious too is that Furno isn't available online, at least not at TRU, and doesn't seem to be available in-store either. I wonder if the three sets are casemates and TLG sent out a staggered shipment? Quote
Vinyl Scratch Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Maybe LEGO had a coordination error with Breez and Thornraxx? Quote
Mesonak Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Furno's also one of the rarer ones, yeah. At least he's available on Shop at Home, though he doesnt appear to be available anywhere else... I've sent an email to Lego Customer Service regarding this matter (the European-only release of Breez and Thornraxx), and while I don't really expect a complete explanation, hopefully I'll get some info. Quote
Aethersprite Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Whatever it is, I'm sure it's just temporary. After all, 2012 hasn't come yet. You guys are lucky to get them this early. Here in Singapore we'll probably get the sets around February. Quote
The Crazy One Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 OWNED. Owned, About to be owned. What a cameo eh? Lego are really confusing me with the exclusion of certain characters. Im sure they'll appear though. Quote
Zwen Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 The reason for the blue color in Stringer is just because of the excess of orange pieces in Bulk and Nex. Could you imagine three orange heroes? So, they chose a color like dark blue for him because is near to the black and makes a darker composition. Also I think that the design in his chest would be like sound waves... Quote
