MakutaDreadscythe Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 I personally hope those two pieces look good together- I have an idea for a MOC that would make a nice use of Hulk's green torso. I think the combination would look great: that huge chest is ridiculously MANLY as it is, that "six-pack" from the Breakout torso would be the icing on the cake. I guess you want to use Nex's white torso? I'm going to try that, but I also wonder how Stringer’s torso would look. Maybe use Surge's torso to complement the blue blade/shoulder armor? Quote
Shakar Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 (edited) I didn't think of Surge's, that could work. I mentioned Stringer's mainly becuase I'm intrigued of how he would look with that sweet tr. blue. Edited February 11, 2012 by Shakar Quote

Shakar Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Indeed. I was hoping for tr. blue cladding so much. Quote

stupidlol Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 They should be. The Breakout sets have been around for about a week already. I bought Rocka at a toy shop at nex! (No pun intended.) Speaking of which - how is Nex going to hold the Hero cuffs if he doesn't have a hand? My guess is that he has a hand underneath that laser weapon thing, however unlikely that is. I bought rocka too he's so amazing :) too bad splitface wasn't available =.= Quote
Aethersprite Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I bought rocka too he's so amazing :) too bad splitface wasn't available =.= Yeah, Rocka is amazing! For some reason some of the sets were more readily available than others - could be due to the more popular ones being snapped up quickly, though. I had to dig through the shelf to find Rocka and Breez hiding behind at the back. Will pick up Breez this week! Seems the Transformers at Toy Fair have already been revealed - any idea when is Lego's turn? Quote

vexorian Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 We already have an HD video featuring all 2012 sets in a stand. I don't think NY's toy fair can give us much more information than that. Quote

At least it'll provide some nicer pictures from other angles that we can look at until the sets are out. Quote
Phantoka_Chirox Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 (edited) Toy fair pics KISS HUG KISS HUG Boneriffic The pictures weren't top notch. Sad to see the plastic containers weren't displayed :c Edited February 12, 2012 by Phantoka_Chirox Quote
vexorian Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 (edited) Stringer: The only reason I would buy him is the trans torso, really. Core hunter: Stupid white hero core clashes badly with the scheme. Still difficult to see the face or shape, the video was better. Bulk is great, Nex blows, but I already knew that. Worried about the material of the front purple piece in Speeda demon's bike. Seems like rubber... Speaking of that piece, it is now silver in Stormer, that is terrible for Stormer, but maybe it is good to have them in a more neutral color. Voltix looks good but it seems only his torso is purple. The tentacle does not look appropriate for him. No XT4? ----- It seems the NY toy fair is outdated in comparison to the Germany one. Edited February 12, 2012 by vexorian Quote
Aethersprite Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Hurray! Waiting for BZP and FBTB's coverage, but these will do for now. Still curious as to how Stringer's launcher is constructed - also, is that 3-long or 4-long cladding on his lower legs? Quote
WARHEAD Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 And Core Hunter still looks like a black blob. Quote
Aethersprite Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 And Core Hunter still looks like a black blob. Indeed. I'm hoping BZP or FBTB will bring us better pictures that will let us make out how his helmet looks like. By the way, does Bulk have a trans-red Glatorian head, or is that trans-orange? Quote

By the way, does Bulk have a trans-red Glatorian head, or is that trans-orange? On the subject of Bulk, I believe it's still orange. As for Core Hunter, you can just make out a somewhat spider-like face with 6 eyes. Not to mention his head looks to be trans-red. Quote
Omicron Squad Leader Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 It may be preliminary, but if Speeda Demon really has 124 pieces and is $34.99...that is a huge ripoff. Quote
VBBN Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Better quality pics from NY toy fair than those ones http://www.toyark.com/news/toy-fair-59/lego-hero-factory-from-toy-fair-2012-in-nyc-5377/ Quote
vexorian Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 (edited) XT4 is a small set. That's a lot of bones for 8.99. Stormer looks much better, but 24.99 sounds like too much. Is Stringer's left leg shell also transparent? I wish the transparent rods in Bulk were trans orange and not trans lime :( The only set of this wave I wouldn't buy is Nex. And there are 4 sets I would buy duplicates of. Unless of course there are some surprise changes before retail. Edited February 12, 2012 by vexorian Quote

Dorek Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 XT4... is asymmetrical in the way his limbs are used? That's... weird, but refreshingly inventive. Core Hunter is generic as ever, but the well laid color scheme and parts recolors are his saving grace. Quote
MakutaDreadscythe Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Wow...Stormer looks horribly posed by his box...never fear, HF wikia is here! Thats more like it, just move around a bit of the leg construction and we have a set. Quote
