The Crazy One Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Probably not, as I already posted multiple pictures of her back in December. Sorry to burst your bubble. Also, what was the point of this post? It just comes of as pretentious and irritating to me. Lighten up a bit. It's a harmless joke I'm sure. Anyway, I'm really bothered by Stringer's altered colour scheme. I wish he was still orange tbh, so much better. Black and blue is just so Von Nebula-ish. Ooh hang on...nah, far to controversial for Lego I think. Quote

Aanchir Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Man, Breez doesn't stop looking incredible. Looking forward to August! In the meantime, I got Surge, and am incredibly impressed. Originally I had wanted to change his hands to blue to offset those green arms, but I've really warmed up to how he looks with the green hands. His arms feel very cohesive the way their colors are currently organized. He's not flawless, of course. I wish the sphere in his plasma gun were Transparent Blue rather than Transparent Bright Green so that it would match his sword. As it is, it doesn't match any part of him very well-- it's just different enough from the lime to look inconsistent, and doesn't match his eye color at all. The new torso shells are amazing. Unlike the previous ones, these look very complete with or without an additional armor piece on top. Of course, there are disadvantages. The 5x4 "fuel cap" detail piece from the Fire Villains doesn't fit as well on this torso as it fits on Jetbug's 2.0 torso, which is odd seeing as the parts are used together on the upcoming Iron Man constraction set. The new Hero Core is also great. It fits very well on pretty much any shell piece, including an 8x5 "engine block" shell from the Fire Villains. This is great as the 2.0 Hero Core would look out-of-place and gappy on pretty much anything but a 2.0 Hero chest armor piece. One last thing I should mention. I tried giving him back armor in the same style as Splitface and Rocka use, and it only looks so-so. The torso itself looks phenomenal from all angles this way, but the head and neck look a bit too bulky for my liking. A 1.0 foot would work a lot better, but unfortunately those are probably far more expensive to acquire in the right color since the original Mark Surge set is the only one to have them. Quote
Vinyl Scratch Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Urhm... I made a derp. I stared at the numbers that the seller sent me, turns out that it wasn't the four Breakout Heroes that he has in stock, he has Evo, Surge, Toxic Reapa and Jawblade on stock. Oops ^^; That picture that LewiMOC posted really made me want Toxic Reapa now. But I don't know if I should chose Surge, Toxic Reapa or Jawblade to buy along Evo щ(゚Д゚щ) Quote

Oops ^^; That picture that LewiMOC posted really made me want Toxic Reapa now. But I don't know if I should chose Surge, Toxic Reapa or Jawblade to buy along Evo щ(゚Д゚щ) Well, Surge isn't a bad hero to get. Not by a longshot. He's worth a purchase... eventually. But if you have a choice between him and two very inventive villains that cost the same amount of money? I'd suggest go with Reapa or Jawblade. And the thing with them is that they're both unique and creative designs that offer a plethora of interesting pieces. Only problem is, while Toxic Reapa comes off looking great with his design, Jawblade ends up lookking... awkard. The fixed jaw, and stubby arms, not even mentioning the hands, don't help. I'd go with Reapa. Only a few miniscule problems that can be easily fixed. Quote
Dorek Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Go with Reapa. Less playable than Jawblade, but he pairs with Evo, and damn if he isn't one of the most inventive looking sets, even if some playability is sacrificed for it. Quote
Lyichir Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I'm able to accept Von Nebula being a recurring villain, but I don't want him to be behind everything Hero Factory has to face. First of all, it'd be incredibly unlikely for the missions of a general peacekeeping organization like Hero Factory to all stem from one villainous mastermind. Secondly, I like having some variety between villains. You get a looming threat like Von Nebula once every two years or so, but I still want other independent villains like Fire Lord (who, as essentially a souped-up energy junkie, remains one of my favorite villains). Ceroknight Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 So Von Nebula is the Makuta of HF... I wonder if the mentioned white Furno bike with Stormer will ever be released... Quote
Dorek Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 So Von Nebula is the Makuta of HF... Well, not yet =P. I'm hoping that he won't be, as that would just be so boring. Lyi is right; if you connect everything, it just becomes a little silly, and ruins the episodic format HF was trying to go with in the first place. I wonder if the mentioned white Furno bike with Stormer will ever be released... Unlikely, but who knows? I think the challenge is more in keeping the proportions than anything else; Stormer on Furno Bike (yes, I will try this when I get Stormer) would be kinda silly =P. Quote
Kalhiki Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Perhaps Von Nebula shows up at the end of the Breakout in a wave of his own. Then he and Stormer duke it out with Stormer winning. Then after all this we start fresh with a new gang of Heroes. It would provide nice closure for Alpha Team's story what with the leader settling his score with his long time enemy. And then we can get a new line of Heroes. Or maybe I'm just dreaming big. Kalhiki Quote

Dorek Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 The way I see it, Stormer already settled his score =P. He achieved the moral victory over his nemesis, proved that he had matured and was more capable than VN, and defeated/imprisoned him. Obviously the evil chuckling at the end of RotR was meant as a potential plot thread if they ever came back to it (which is looks like they might) but the storyline has already achieved full closure. Even if we see VN, we're unlikely to get more character development out of it, it will just be those two facing each other down again, unless they decide to insert some heretofore unmentioned previous event that sparks a whole new conflict between them (unlikely, as the previous story established that they had never met again until the most recent point). Masta' Blasta' Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 (edited) Nebula. The one character who wasn't in jail, rather in a black hole. It's so obvious... I can't believe I never thought of it... Edit: I suppose it's not too obvious. The only reoccurring characters so far have been heroes (and other minor roles). DarkSurgeXL Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 (edited) I wonder if the mentioned white Furno bike with Stormer will ever be released... No. Enough bikes. First there was Furno bike now it's gonna be Speeda Demon, and you wanna another bike? I think they will better produce ATV or something. Or in case of Stormer at least a snowskooter Edited February 19, 2012 by DarkSurgeXL Quote

Omicron Squad Leader Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 (edited) Like he said, lighten up... Geez, way to take it seriously. Can you actually make it seem like a joke in the future? Then I shall. It seemed like a little bit of trolling to me. Kthxbai. I'm able to accept Von Nebula being a recurring villain, but I don't want him to be behind everything Hero Factory has to face. I agree for the most part. Like I've said, I want other main villains to be completely independent, with the exception of some of them having slight connections to Nebby to swing things his way in the future when he confronts Stormer. It would add a bit of mystery and resolution to the story I think, without Von being *too* similar to the Makuta of BIONICLE, who actually made an appearance in most waves in some form or another, usually with dialogue. JaeYeon eom Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 (edited) some Korean fan updated breakout episode picture. http://cafe.naver.com/legobionicle/240668 Edited February 20, 2012 by JaeYeon eom(South Korea) Quote
Jouster Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 some Korean fan updated breakout episode picture. http://cafe.naver.co...bionicle/240668 Hmmm.....Pretty cool. Also, Voltix has a Black Phantom helmet on his back. Quote
Vinyl Scratch Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 HOLY LORD OF ALL-GLORY AWESOMENESS. Von Nebula in Breakout. Okay, this is absolutely the best line of Hero Factory EVER. Quote
Dorek Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Hot damn, them's some fine pictures. Still a little curious as to where Bulk, Breez, and Nex are. Stormer does look pretty ridiculous on his bike, but scout drones lol. Quote
Zwen Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 So cool, Stormer has his own bike. I mean, Stormer vs. Speed Demon, I was thinking about how hard is going to be for Stormer to catch him, but now looks like is not going to be that difficult... Quote
Charmander11 Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Yeah, It looks like VN is masterminding the breakout in someway, especially showing him breakout of the staff seemingly and Rocka looking at his staff without the blue-black tridax pod thingy. Quote
Omicron Squad Leader Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 (edited) Pretty darn cool images, I didn't expect Von to actually appear so early on. I'm still anxious to get a first glimpse at Part 2 though, so we can see Core Hunter, but that's probably a long way off. Also, why does the black hole appear to come from Voltix? He doesn't seem to have Von Nebula's orb staff. Edited February 20, 2012 by Omicron Squad Leader Quote
Vinyl Scratch Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 I thought of a rather weird theory. Now that we know that Von Nebula is somehow related to the Breakout, and that we know that Von Nebula can somehow turn into a mist-like status. Well um... What if Von Nebula is somehow possesing Black Phantom or something? :V Weird theory, I know, but I keep seeing a resemblance between Von Nebula and Black Phantom. Quote

I don't see any similarity besides color, and Von Nebula doesn't need to possess villains to use them to his advantage. Personally, I think Von Nebula having powers like possession would cheapen him as a villain. Quote
