The ones with the hole all the way through? Those were available last wave in the Witch Doctor, but have also been available en masse since the first wave of Indiana Jones sets, they were a running change in one of the Temple sets. I've had a few hundred of them I bought off of Bricklink several years ago.

I think Shakar was referring to the Y-joints actually, since those are new to Jawblade. The phrasing was a little misleading/ambiguous, but that's how I interpreted the post.

Those aren't ball joints, they're sockets.

Those pictures are actually from New York. I know not only from being there but because the prices listed on the name cards are in U.S. dollars.

The pictures are nice but don't clarify one thing I found myself wondering after the Collectors Preview, that being what XT4's torso looks like underneath that armor. From the looks of things it would have a Technic pin hole and a ball joint in the same point in the center of the torso, which would arguably be possible but would be extremely unusual compared to what we've seen in other Hero Factory torso and leg beams.

The way Bulk's rocket launcher attaches to his back will probably be disappointing for a lot of people because it adds some superfluous red to the color scheme. But it should be no serious problem for the most devoted fans of Bulk to mod it with those parts in black, or with a different connection entirely.

Indeed. Also, the London HF section was completely different- it had Stringer and Bulk hanging from that column, among other weird things.

As for Bulk, yeah, I really don't like that configuration. The red doesn't fit and I would have liked a more poseable "arm". But I'm not worried, I'm sure I (and others who aren't fond of this build) are going to come up with something.

Yup, sorry. I always get them mixed up, for some reason.

From these pics, my opinions remain the same.

Only that XT4 looks even more like a giant jumbled parts set D:

There are a lot of things that can be said about XT4, but I don't at all think he's jumbled. He'd run the risk of looking jumbled if the designers were tempted to put shells on all his limbs or something to that effect. But as it is, his arms are all designed similarly (unlike the legs of Scorpio, which were wildly inconsistent) and he adheres pretty strictly to a three-color color scheme (bright yellow, medium stone grey, and black).

That is a bad picture of him, though. This pic I took might show him a bit better, although it's the same pose. He scarcely has enough pieces on him to look jumbled if he's posed competently, with the arms spread out a bit more broadly.

...

He actually looks a lot better from that pose.

Still, that face looks really weird, he seems to be a great parts pack but I can't say for sure that he's my favourite set :/

As someone on Flickr said,

O hai Meltdown, what happened to the sides of your head?

Immature, yes. But sadly, true. The face looks too much like Meltdown with the sides of his helmet cut off for me. If anything, if I get XT4, it'll be to make a Meltdown in a trash compacter (Hence the "squished" face) MOC.

The face is funny in the fair pictures, but masks have been ridiculous for long. Also, even fair pics are still preliminar, we don't know yet if all molds are final and we are unable to tell which set uses stickers and which just didn't have time to be printed. Speaking of print, that's one way in which all sets can drastically change for the better or the worst when released.

Sure they are probably made wrong on the exnibition, but those are final after all.

The head of xt4 features something never seen before.

Part Design

The only thing I can see that would match this description is the integrated socket joint.

It must be this. I thought about it the other day- there is no sign of a socket joint, unlike Meltdown's head (sorry, but I felt that was the best thing I couldcompare it to).

I'm still wondering about that "xt4 is a multiple buy set" comment Front made a few weeks ago. Aside from the new torso, the recoluored feet and the rare black 6M shells, I don't see many interesting pieces that would justify a "OMG MUST BUY MULTIPLE COPIES OF THIS SET". It must be something other.

You can see a yellow socket styled like the one that connects the armor shells in this picture and this one. Either it's a brand new tiny socket piece or it's part of the head.

Hmm, his head has potential as some kind of wrist gadget thing, I think.

I just hope they somehow explain why Speed Demon has hands in the back and are holding those gold sword/spikes. Its really part that sticks out for me and looks un-attractive. I also want to see what he looks like off the bike unless he is one with the bike.

Yes, that's what I meant. While a new tiny socket piece would be really interesting, I doubt it would debut in yellow- new "skeleton pieces" tend to be produced in black and/or dark bley first (see this year's friction socket joints, the ones in Black Phantom's upper arms). I'm pretty sure it's going to be integrated into the head.

@The_Box

Set reason: they wanted to give him weapons to fight with while he's driving the bike.

Story reason: he, uh, is a four armed alien, that is why. It's like asking why humans have two arms- that's how our species is made.

So, I wake up this morning, I look at the right side of my bed, I can see a friendly Care Package (If you get the reference you get a cookie). Excited, I get out of bed, go to the living room, grab the scissors, cut the package open and ta-dá! It's the wonderful 6200 Evo and... Surge?! *huh* ´

Apparently the seller sent me Surge when I asked for Toxic Reapa.

But whatever, both of them are already built and standing along me, I'm happy with my purchase. :classic:

...

But I like Surge more... :cry_sad:

Didn't he say that it might be Ordeal of Fire or Savage Planet instead, or have we got more information since then?

Those episodes were shown in Germany, so I think that will be the real Breakout episode.

According to BZP breakout game is now avalible in Itunes! Although you gonna play only for Rocka :cry_sad:
