Yeah, I'm planning to mod Voltix as well - probably just give him hands. But he looks great.

By the way, from this picture on BZP, you can see how that switch on Voltix's back is constructed. Makes sense now how the electric pieces on his back were shown pointing upwards in the official pictures and yet downwards in the Toy Fair pics - I had thought it was a mistake in construction. Seems pretty cool this way!

Personally, I want to replace the forearm bones with longer pieces, so you can attach the tubes to the wrists like the TV version- as for the hands, I think silver would be the best choice available (I wish we had the new hands in more colours, like gunmetal, gold, lilac, etc). Also, I really want to put some lilac on his legs, and I have a few methods in mind for that.

Unless you are German, that's not really much use. We've already seen the episode in Polish, and it's better quality. Thanks for posting it, though. :classic:

Does the Polish version have English subtitles?

Not now. Some guy is working on the polish version with english subtitles, but all we have now is a version in German and a version in Polish.

I can make english subtitles... I'm in highschool in a class with advanced english (6 hours per week :P - in Poland it's a lot because we have around 36 hours weekly) so It won't be hard.

So, it seems that the entire breakout was a distraction to help Black Phantom gain control of Hero Factory and destroy the Assembly Tower, but also secretly send a blueprint of the entire factory to Von Nebula, who escaped when Voltix released his spirit (or soul, or whatever it was) and it smashed the orb attached to his staff. I'm guessing both Voltix and Black Phantom were agents of Von Nebula; he probably has links to criminals all across the galaxy. This plot line has a lot of potential in my opinion, so I hope it turns out nicely.

I freaking love this episode. I hope that we'll get a summer episode. (I hope) Although I doubt it. Also, am I the only one that thinks the villains got captured a bit too easy? I mean, Voltix got captured because he wasn't paying attention. Anyway, I really loved the fight scenes, they were much, much more mature than the ones from the previous episodes. Speeda Demon is probably one of my favorite villains right now. Why? He's too awesome. :3

And insane. Mustn't forget he laughs like a madman and has a very high voice.

Edit: I think we need more serious villains. Von Nebula is the only villain I see as being serious.

Another edit: Well, he's not the only serious villain. Just... the most serious. Maybe Black Phantom will turn out to be a better villain as the story progresses, but right now he seems pretty pathetic aside from his weapon and Arachnix.

What about Black Phantom? As from both versions of the episode he seemed to be pretty serious. I agree about Speeda Demon, but didn't we have Rotor and Jetbug like this? I suppose it's pretty obvious that we have at least 1 insane villain.

Aracnix is just his pet and nothing more. Remember Maksiloks? He had a pet too and he was serious.

Black Phantom makes me think of someone who pampers himself, as his body language often shows him pointing at himself and such. I don't often think of villains this way as they should be more focused on their surroundings and not themselves. As far as the Arachnix goes, I'm not saying that having a "pet" isn't serious, I'm saying that an army of cloning robots is... Pretty boss!

Edit: When I refer to seriousness, I am referring to their place as a villain. A serious villain is in the traditional sense, while a very unserious villain is one whom acts contrary to the former. I presume Core Hunter will have a more serious role.

Well I suppose you will change your mind about Black Phantom when you will watch the second part:

Part 1

Part 2

Well in the end you really see Nebula's hand so it's pretty obvious now that he will return. :classic:

I like the look of this. Maybe the "Meet the Heroes" book will be a guide, like the few Bionicle had in the past (like the Dark Hunters book, or the Guide to the Matoran Universe)? I'd like that.

Also, I agree- Brady Bunch, much? :P

Seems a children's book to me as seeing "beginning to read alone" on the right corner.

But never the less it could be an interesting book/guide.

P.s.: Yea I went away for a little while. I forgot to check this forum and went back to check about most of the Hero Factory stuff.

Seeing some awesome new HF MOCs and nice to see pictures of upcomming sets for this summer!

I guess it will be mainly a children's book, but seeing all the Heroes in their 2012 forms together is quite a treat (and I'm eager to do the same IRL). It's interesting to note how Bulk is keeping his cuffs attached to his chest, much like the model at Toy Fair.

Good observation! I don't expect the most from this book-- certainly not the exclusive stories and hand-drawn illustrations we saw in the BIONICLE Level 3 Readers-- but perhaps it might hvae decent info or images.

By the way, has everyone seen the Breakout movie clips Gatanui posted on BZPower? I just caved and watched the one with the conclusion. I'm not planning to watch all of them, and I'm sure others would also rather wait to hear them in their native language, so I'mma keep my comments (as few as they are) spoilered:

It's interesting to learn that Breakout is going to be a part of a larger story arc. I didn't buy into some people's idea that 2012 would be the final year for Hero Factory, but I wasn't expecting a saga that spans more than two TV episodes. Von Nebula's possible involvement is intriguing.

I've thought a "Villain Factory" that parallels the Hero Factory was a corny idea since people started coming up with that for MOC backstories in 2010, but now that it's a serious possibility I'm wondering what its implications might be. I like that it's being treated with the gravitas that it's due rather than just mentioned offhandedly as a possibility. It's rare for a Hero Factory episode to end with such a serious sense of foreboding, and I think the fact that they've chosen to go forward with a larger story arc, and more story media in general, is promising news for the Hero Factory theme.

Come on

Villain factory was a foregone conclusion ever since they named the theme Hero Factory.

I wouldn't be shocked to find that 2013-1 is the last wave for HF.

I was just about to suggest that Von Nebula may be planning to build a Villain Factory, but you beat me to it. It would be the perfect revenge: Using Hero Factory's own technology against them. (Although I still don't understand WHY exactly he wants revenge; it was his choice to go rogue, Stormer didn't put him up to it.)

Also, this is a really barmy theory, but what if the Black Phantom helmets secretly signal some sort of allegiance to Von Nebula? Think about it; Voltix was harbouring some sort of spirit or apparition of Von Nebula, and Black Phantom himself was the one who sent the blueprints to Von Nebula. Speeda Demon? Well, we still have Legion of Darkness to come, so there may be some hints there. Or I could just be thinking too hard into things.

I don't follow that brand of logic. By that reasoning, X-Women would have been a foregone conclusion as soon as X-Men was developed, Matoran Nuva would have been a foregone conclusion as soon as there were Toa Nuva, and Guitar Villain would have been a foregone conclusion as soon as Guitar Hero was released. Just because there are possible permutations of a name based on an easy-to-follow pattern doesn't mean that those possibilities are destined to become a reality.

Also, don't link me to any examples of the above that DID become a reality because that's beside the point. I'm also not saying that any of those things would be a BAD thing. I've just been bugged by some people's insistence that if there is a Hero Factory there has to be a Villain Factory, which is obligated to have its own Villain Cores, Villain Pods, Villain Fuel, Villain-Craft, and Villain Recon Team. The fact that there are diametrically-opposed Heroes and Villains in the universe doesn't mean that every Hero _____ has a Villain _____ paralleling it, and that's the reason why a lot of the "Villain Factory" MOCs springing up in 2010 bothered me. Hopefully when Hero Factory explores this idea it will do so in moderation.
