Niku Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Hello this MOC is not mine. But I want it to share it because found it's pretty good, for the pieces used. Quote
LandShark Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 This looks really good. I thought about making my own creation from my Troll Mountain Fort. I just settled for one of the alternate arrangements in the instructions, in the end. Quote
K-Nut Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 :wall: Why didn't I get more than 1 of these when they were out? Thank for ruining my day with this beautiful MOC! Quote

andhe Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 This is great! I always enjoy seeing MOCs made from limited resources (ie just the original set) and attempts to 'supersize' an official idea by combining multiples of just one set. I always felt that the trolls' mountain fortress was a bit flimsy, and just a bunch of walls. This has a much better fortress feel, and some great little play features as well. Quote
I Scream Clone Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Now that is an impressive alternate build from two TMF, well done on all the secret bonuses. Ah I see it isn't your build. Quote
KristofBD Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Indeed, quite an original interpretation of the fortress. Good find! Quote
Jareth Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Man, I wanted two of these, but I could only afford 1 Now I want two more than ever! I especially like the hidden cave entrance, it reminds me of the forestmen. Quote
Jebediahs Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Very nice. My trolls have been homeless ever since my stepson destroyed their mountain fortress two years ago in a Crownie attack. They've never recovered. I'd always hoped to make something as cool as this one day though. Thanks for inspiration. Great job. LU! Quote
Quichybo Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 As this is a quite awesome MOC, could you add some detailed shots of the main features? I'd like to try to build them myself as I also own two TMFs, got the second in a sale for 50 €. I would expand it with some more towers and stuff, your build would serve as a base that is way better than the original TMF released by LEGO, because it doesn't just have rocks but a real mountain! MaceWindu Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Very good! I enjoy watching your moovie! Why has the king dug into the rock. Quote

I always felt that the trolls' mountain fortress was a bit flimsy, and just a bunch of walls. This has a much better fortress feel, and some great little play features as well. Those are the ones I look now, as my collection is limited still. Really improves the primary design. Now that is an impressive alternate build from two TMF, well done on all the secret bonuses. That is genius part well executed, by the author. Indeed, quite an original interpretation of the fortress. Good find! Thanks, you should check his other videos too. Man, I wanted two of these, but I could only afford 1 Now I want two more than ever! I especially like the hidden cave entrance, it reminds me of the forestmen. Same here, I need to get other one. On my wishlist then. Very nice. My trolls have been homeless ever since my stepson destroyed their mountain fortress two years ago in a Crownie attack. They've never recovered. I'd always hoped to make something as cool as this one day though. Thanks for inspiration. Great job. LU! How many casualties? Hello I´m not the author of this MOC, if you want more detailed information perhaps the account on youtube may help you. Very good! I enjoy watching your moovie! Why has the king dug into the rock. Again Im not the author of this... though I will like to be. Quote
Cpt. Tristan Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) Only set pieces.............DAMN thats nice. I would have made it more civilized (no trolls) but I love the design of a fort on a mountain with and extension to the side, and I've always viking/western style wooden forts over their stone counterparts. I will just HAVE to build something like this, even though I've been focusing more on the pirates theme. Nicely done video. ~Cpt. Hiffie Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 This fortress looks like mine, thanks for linking Niku. Why has the king dug into the rock. The hole in the Mountain isn’t big enough. could you add some detailed shots of the main features? I'd like to try to build them myself as I also own two TMFs, got the second in a sale for 50 €. I paid 95€ for both. Some pics: The Prison and the connection to the top of the mountain: The other side of the cave: Snot cave entrance: top platform of the main-fortress: Quote
Niku Posted September 29, 2011 Author Posted September 29, 2011 It is a pleasure Hiffie. Great fortress you have there. And also interesting videos on your channel. Greetings. Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Thanks for showing this one! It's an inspiration for me- Trorc/Troll/Orc( or whatever you call them) fan! First I was like "Oh look its another big roc..." and then it oppened! I like how you did animation to show parts of fortress- pretty creative way! (The Nights Lord castle is even more amazing!) I am building the Trorc fortress by myself, there is a thread around here, but I need to update pics, heh. Quote
