Shadows Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Now, some of you may be saying "he can't do that without pills and we know his pills don't do diddly squat." I'd have to argue with this. You all seem to be, at the very least, open to the idea that I have a fixed killing action. I do have a fixed action, but it is not killing. At some point prior to this whole ordeal, the voice of god gave an indication that this would be a game of vanilla townies, and the whole medicine thing seems to confirm this. For you to be telling the truth, god would have had to lie. I'll ban his megablocks if that's true, so I'm pretty sure it isn't. Sorry, but I saw you much earlier in the day, lurking at the doorway listening to us talk, and then much later you came up with your story. It feels too carefully planned and researched and I'm not buying it.
Zepher Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Not much of excitment. People don't trust me, don't listen to those they don't trust, and I will be dying shortly!
XimenaPaulina Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 I believe Kelly is the only person who hasn't taken meds, or indeed spoken Something tells me that if Kelly could speak up, she would. I'd say that she can't for some reason. I'd thought it'd be an effect of her medication, that is if her Blue Bennies hadn't got stolen yesterday. You don't think something's happened to her do ya? She's one I actually liked. What's not to like about a nympho? Hopefully she's just sleepin' in late. Sorry guys, yeah I slept too long. And no, it wasn't an effect of my Blue Bennies getting stolen or any other reason. Just got tired off some steamy activity last night. Or maybe her mouth is full? My mount is indeed kinda aching right now.
WhiteFang Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Looks like most of you have said their piece about Lumpy and I am also inclined to follow that lead too, since it make some sense and I will rather rid of a killer who targets us randomly at night. I don't feel safe with those unlawful killings. Like K-girl, my medicine was stolen too. Got to find out why and how... I don't feel good without having my today's prescribed medicine with me...
Hinckley Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Like K-girl, my medicine was stolen too. Got to find out why and how... I don't feel good without having my today's prescribed medicine with me... OK, another med thievery. If all of our actions are meds then we've found one that has an obvious tell when used.
Zepher Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Well, in a boringly bad attempt to get you to not vote for me, I'll be helpful. Neither of my pills so far have done anything.
WhiteFang Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Based on the 2 days experience, I am inclined to think that our medicines played a vital role, especially to us, townies. I wish I can grasp the essence behind our random allocated medicines. Do note that we are not allowed to consume the same medicine twice in a row and I think I might understand why but I need sometime to prove that theory. So far, we had discovered some of the effects based on the spreadsheet provided by Heng and I will think such important information behind our medicines must not land into the hands of those scumbags.
Scouty Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Well, in a boringly bad attempt to get you to not vote for me, I'll be helpful. Neither of my pills so far have done anything. You'd be more helpful keeping it to yourself, because that way the scum wont know which ones to take/look out for.
Zepher Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Knowledge is power to both sides you dumbo. The town will know not to waste time with them now, and know that if someone claims that they gave them a power, that it didn't really. Even though you folks refuse to believe in fixed powers, I know for a fact they exist, so now you know if you see Person A kill and they say that the Red Devils let them do it, they are lying.
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Yes, knowledge is power. But power is power, too. The scum have got to be in a better position to use any knowledge brought out in the day thread. For one their kill action probably does not come from the meds and they can use it to get rid of any medicine that's too beneficial to the town along with the player using it. So for the Moon Emperor's sake, don't everyone reveal what their meds do out here in the open. Let's keep the one advantage we may have.

Even though you folks refuse to believe in fixed powers, I know for a fact they exist, so now you know if you see Person A kill and they say that the Red Devils let them do it, they are lying. At this point, anything that comes out of your mouth can be perceived as a lie, so why don't you just go stand in the corner and let the rest of us figure this one out mkay?
Zepher Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 You, sir, are a little too sassy for my taste. Even more Sassy than Sassy. If you expect any self respecting member of the town or scum to just roll over and die you are sorely mistaken.
Tamamono Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Sorry, but I saw you much earlier in the day, lurking at the doorway listening to us talk, and then much later you came up with your story. It feels too carefully planned and researched and I'm not buying it. I saw that too. Why didn't he talk when he was first here? Was he busy looking for a good excuse for why he killed Crackerman? Looks like most of you have said their piece about Lumpy and I am also inclined to follow that lead too, since it make some sense and I will rather rid of a killer who targets us randomly at night. I don't feel safe with those unlawful killings. Like K-girl, my medicine was stolen too. Got to find out why and how... I don't feel good without having my today's prescribed medicine with me... What? Your meds were stolen too? I suppose there really is a pill thief around here. I wonder if the pill thief is a set scum/neutral/town action (probably not neutral, because god did say the only neutral is a SK) or if it's a product of a pill?
Zepher Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 On top of that, the man who made the "grand reveal" about my death also said the Red Devils did nothing, and I'll probably die with the Yellowjackets so it isn't like I'm giving up too much... I don't know what y'all are being all hollary about, but I'm trying to help Harriet the Slut fill out her chart more completely!

If you expect any self respecting member of the town or scum to just roll over and die you are sorely mistaken. Don't worry, I'm pretty sure you won't have to deal with any of us tomorrow I wonder if the pill thief is a set scum/neutral/town action (probably not neutral, because god did say the only neutral is a SK) or if it's a product of a pill? I'm pretty sure pill thief is a set action for one of the scum or maybe more likely a role for a neutral character. It just wouldn't seem helpful if a vanilla townie got it.

It just wouldn't seem helpful if a vanilla townie got it. Good point. A thief action seems like something the scum would have rather than a pill that's likely to be taken by townies. If that's the case, then the scum have an extra pill tonight.
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 I suppose a townie could insure an important med wound up in the right hands. You know, the scum are taking meds, too. Let's face it, when that medicine counter opens there's a stampede. And sometimes a townie can only trust themselves.

See what happens when you try to think?

Yeah, I suppose a townie could use that action for trying to make sure the best pills don't end up in scum hands. Maybe the thief action is a pill then?
Zepher Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 I don't know. I'm not saying fishy fellow is wrong, I'm just saying don't set it in stone that it is a scum action, and don't fix it in stone that it is a pill, or anything until you have a bit more concrete proof.
Hinckley Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Maybe the thief action is a pill then? If it is, I would suggest doing one of two things: 1. Steal from the person who had the pill before you, just to bridge the gap. They'll know what happened and shouldn't cause any confusion for the thievee. They'll know you did it anyway, just by seeing what pill you took that day. 2. Use it to steal from someone you already trust. It's a good way for the Town to kind of swap Actions. I think that's a pretty sound strategy.

So for the Moon Emperor's sake, don't everyone reveal what their meds do out here in the open. Let's keep the one advantage we may have. Both of you have summarised briefly of what I have in mind. The medicine is the one true combatant that we can used to fight against those scums. I am very certain that each of this medicine is special in its own rights, otherwise why are we consuming it? The problem is, if we make known and reveal every single medicine that we have at such early point? Then, we will lose right to the scums. The scums knew each other in secrecy and we have the four corners of the walls to defend ourselves? I got a funny hunch feeling and I might be right on this, but it's too risky to reveal in public at this moment. Then again, I am sure some of us might have figured this out on our own. I wonder if the pill thief is a set scum/neutral/town action (probably not neutral, because god did say the only neutral is a SK) or if it's a product of a pill? Let's keep this open for now. I strongly believe the neutral character is a Serial Killer. You can't afford to have so many neutral characters running around and if the scums also have a full set of pre-fix night actions along with these pills options? Don't you think it's super unfair to us, townies? I can't speak for others but I need those pills and I need to fight against those scumbags.

But remember that at this point there are only five scum, and if Zed really is the Serial Killer we can take him out of the equation today. That means the scum won't have a chance to block, steal or hog all of the good pills. We still have the numbers on our side. I'm sure many of us are compiling medicine lists right as we speak, so don't be afraid to share the lists with people you think you can trust. We won't win this game for the town if we keep everything to ourselves.

We won't win this game for the town if we keep everything to ourselves. This is a good point. No gut instincts this time. Watch the people who use the items that you know, for sure, what they do. But stop revealing what your meds do in the day thread. It's great we have Lumpy exposed, but the risk that was taken by Boo and Shalonda is huge and careless. That being said, eventually we will have a good idea of what every med does. I'm not sure I like this idea of meds as Actions yet, but one thing's for sure, everything will be out in the open soon. I need to get some rest.

But stop revealing what your meds do in the day thread. It's great we have Lumpy exposed, but the risk that was taken by Boo and Shalonda is huge and careless. Dammit, I'm getting tired of this dead horse being beaten once again. I had no choice but to reveal what I knew. This isn't "oh gee, someone targeted someone else, but nothing happened", this was one of us being murdered. I had to give appropriate evidence if I was going to ask people to rely on that information. Seriously. Stuff it. When you can tell me a better way to handle it, I'll be more than happy to listen, but this early on, not knowing who to trust privately, I did the best thing I could to stop a killer. In the future I would like to think that some of us will know who to trust privately and be able to handle it better, naturally, but I don't regret coming forward as I did, it was just too important.
