Brickdoctor Posted September 26, 2011 Author Posted September 26, 2011 Doc, would JediAnakin's diplomacy skill work if we are attacked by the villagers? QM Note:I can't tell you unless you try.
ADHO15 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 "Then let us stay the night here in Mopag and hope the villagers are welcoming in the morning. Some further information could prove to be very useful."
Tanma Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 De'kra isn't sure if this plan is safe, but does not voice his concerns. His knowledge of this realm is limited at best, for all he knows this plan could work.
Brickdoctor Posted September 26, 2011 Author Posted September 26, 2011 "Then let us stay the night here in Mopag and hope the villagers are welcoming in the morning. Some further information could prove to be very useful." "Mopag does not have an inn."
posades Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Xander is wary of the Mopag, but he agrees they may have some useful information. If anything were to happen overnight, he was confident the team could handle it.
Flare Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Benji suggests: "Lets just keep drinking until morning..." *hick*
Brickdoctor Posted September 26, 2011 Author Posted September 26, 2011 "So you want to stay until morning?"
Tamamono Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 "So you want to stay until morning?" "I think we will."
Brickdoctor Posted September 26, 2011 Author Posted September 26, 2011 The party decided to stay over in Mopag to meet the villagers in the morning, so I was forced to sleep another Night in Mopag territory. Not fun. Thankfully, the fact that we were near a settlement makes it easy to find a good spot to camp. A small stream, some trees, a clearing, and a fire. Nice. Unfortunately, it also makes us easier to find. The fire is almost reduced to ashes and we are almost asleep when six hairy figures creep into our campsite. We can hear them speaking. "Look at that. That dishonorable Wolfgang thief was right. There are heroes from Heroica here." "It's a pity he was right, too. He was so delicious." "Cut the chatter. Time to get rid of these dishonorable 'heroes'." Groggily, we rise and confront our enemies... PREPARE FOR BATTLE! All of you, choose your targets and the row you want to fight in. Also mention if you want to try to flee, heal or cast a magic spell, or if you want to use an item instead of attacking. Any enemy not targeted will get a Free Hit on the party after everyone have acted.
Tanma Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 De'kra glances at the six foes, and wonder who he would be best at dueling with. He might be close to theRogue in base stats, but that foe had much more health and a greater level. "Who I attack?" the rogue asked, "Leader have plan for heroes and I?"
Tamamono Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 "Sorry everyone; I didn't think that they would actually attack us." Order of action: Leo Xander Thormanil Cinna Ad-Hoh Benji De'kra Tomas I will attack Pongcanis Knight from the front row. "All of their special abilities are incredibly annoying, especially the knight's sentinel position, the barbarian's battle frenzy, and the cleric's miracle. Cinna, could you target the barbarian? Then Thormanil could attack the knight and Ad-Hoh could attack the barbarian. That would leave the thief, cleric, mage, and ranger for the others." Before we do any of these attacking actions, would JediAnakin's diplomacy skill work here?
swils Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Err, Leo, any chance you could, you know, talk them down a bit? There's kind of.. a lot of them, and they look pretty strong. Thormanil nervously grips his axes, expecting the worst
Brickdoctor Posted September 26, 2011 Author Posted September 26, 2011 Before we do any of these attacking actions, would JediAnakin's diplomacy skill work here? Sir Leo the Sentinel attempts to reason with the Pongcanae (who, by the way, are not the Mopag inhabitants. They were the next group of enemies for you to face whenever you rolled a '5' or a '6' during a Night), but they're not interested in peaceful solutions. QM Note: Captain Tamamono, you also get to choose Flare's action.
Tamamono Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 QM Note: Captain Tamamono, you also get to choose Flare's action. :wink "Benji will attack Pongcanis Ranger from the back row."

OOC: Well of course they're not Mopags, they don't look pale or fleshy at all! They look big and hairy and scary... and hungry /OOC Benji, Leo, you've both got smoke bombs, right? Keep 'em at the ready. And De'kra, if things take a turn for the worst, don't hesitate to turn tail. Better to live a coward than die a feast! Thormanil lets out a nervous chuckle Gold's the least of our concerns, so we just need to make sure that rogue takes any sort of hit. If we want to focus our efforts fast and early, Tomas, you do have a fire bomb, so we can ensure that every enemy takes damage at least for the first round. Could give us a chance to take out one of the bigger threats. Though, on the flip side, that means a much higher chance of really pissing off one of those Pongcanae and landing us some party-wide damage. If we're gonna focus one, I'd say the cleric, since they're all at full health right now anyway, so a heal won't do 'em any good. Though if we want to get ballsy, the barbarian or mage... What do you all think?

What do you all think? "I do, but I'd rather not use it unless absolutely necessary. Also, it could help finish them off once we've done a bit of damage. I'd say the most important thing right now would be to kill off the knight before he can take sentinel position for next round. The barbarian is also a good choice, but the more we attack him, the easier it will be for him to battle frenzy us, so could Ad-Hoh and Cinna instead attack the cleric?"
Brickdoctor Posted September 26, 2011 Author Posted September 26, 2011 Doc, would we have to wait another night to talk to the Mopagians if we flee? QM Note:No.
Tanma Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 (edited) "Benji will attack Pongcanis Ranger from the back row." De'kra clicked, "Bear men listen to ranger? Not, I attack other rogue. I hope I not sleep-forever. Near long sleep, I retreat, like other hero say." Edited September 26, 2011 by Tanma
Darkdragon Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 I sigh because I just knew camping here was going to be trouble, even though I was not expecting this band of hairy people-eaters. "I will attack the Cleric from the back row."
ADHO15 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 "Mopag does not have an inn." "I did not say that it did." "I agree, so I too shall attack the Pongcanis Cleric from the back row."
Brickdoctor Posted September 26, 2011 Author Posted September 26, 2011 QM Note: darkdragon and ADHO, please specify if you want to use elemental magic or not.
ADHO15 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 QM Note: darkdragon and ADHO, please specify if you want to use elemental magic or not. OOC: Sorry, I thought not specifying meant not using elemental magic. Seeing as my emerald doesn't have any extra effect against these types of enemies, I don't see the point in using it. Same goes for darkdragon, no doubt.

I was just making sure, since darkdragon can use Darkness against humanoids.
Darkdragon Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 (edited) "I will attack Pongcanis Cleric from back row with Darkness." ooc: I'm still getting use to the magic thing, sorry. I wasn't going to attack with magic but now I think it's a good idea to use it. Edited September 26, 2011 by darkdragon
ADHO15 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 QM Note: Ah, I see. Sorry about that. I was just making sure, since darkdragon can use Darkness against humanoids. OOC: No, my fault. I'll be more specific next time. I forgot about darkdragon's double effect against them. Like she said, this mage stuff takes a little while to get used to.
