Tanma Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 QM Note: No. OOC: Yes, secretly De'kra is an Ortolan. He just cut off his trunk and ears before he was trapped on Heroica. OOC: an alternate theory is that De'kra is secretly Red Shirt from Legostar Galactica. Look it up, you might see parallels with luck in fights. De'kra hoped that after the battle was won he would get a chance to buy another potion. That assumed that the group would win the day, but at the moment only De'kra had been damaged. On the other hand the attackers were all damaged, though their health was much bigger.
posades Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 The Pongcanis Barbarian could wait; Xander shifted his focus to the Pongcanis Knight. Xander attacks Pongcanis Knight from the front row. "That leaves the Rogue for you, right Ad-Hoh?"
ADHO15 Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Hope that clears it up! [/i] OOC: It does. Thank you very much! "That leaves the Rogue for you, right Ad-Hoh?" "That is correct. I shall attack the Pongcanis Rogue from the back row with elemental magic."
Brickdoctor Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 Results of Round Two of the Pongcanis Attack: De'kra uses Potion Sir Leo the Sentinel vs. Pongcanis Knight - Shield Xander Unth'or vs. - Pongcanis Knight - Damage Thormanil Nihai vs. Pongcanis Mage - Critical Hit >Cinna the Dark vs. Pongcanis Cleric - Hit >Ad-Hoh vs. Pongcanis Rogue - Damage >Benji Carvenhall vs. Pongcanis Ranger - Damage Tomas vs. Pongcanis Barbarian - Critical Hit The two sides drew back and prepared to attack again, giving De'kra the opportunity to drink a Potion, restoring him to full Health. True to his title, Sir Leo the Sentinel then promptly took the Sentinel position. Xander jumped out from behind Sir Leo's shield, but the Knight agilely evaded the leaping attack, parried the strike, and riposted, causing 6 Damage. The Mage was still sticking his tongue out and blowing raspberries at Thormanil, so the latter's solution was to slam his axes into the former's head, knocking him out with an Extra Critical Hit causing 17 Damage. Cinna fired an Elemental Darkness spell at the exposed Cleric, dealing 16 Damage and blowing the Pongcanis off his feet. The Rogue learned from his comrade's mistake, and was ready and waiting for Ad-Hoh to attempt to cast a spell. Benji was bested by his Pongcanis equivalent, who shot first, but Tomas came right back with another Critical Hit, reducing the Barbarian's health by 19. Darkdragon Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Well that round was much more satisfying! I will attack Pongcanis Knight from back row with Darkness.
Tamamono Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 "Good job everybody, we're almost done!" Order of action: Leo Xander Thormanil Cinna Ad-Hoh Benji De'kra Tomas "There are only four enemies left, and they're all at low health, so I'm confident that we'll be able to beat them this round. Ad-Hoh, Xander, Benji: you three are all injured; would any of you like me to heal you?"
ADHO15 Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 "Ad-Hoh, Xander, Benji: you three are all injured; would any of you like me to heal you?" "Thank you, but I have a potion that I can use instead. You could defeat one or more of the remaining opponents instead." Ad-Hoh removes a green vial from his belt and consumes the potion inside, restoring his health.
posades Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 "Benji looks to be in worse shape than me; I'd be willing to take my chances, as my ability allows me to recover health after the battle is over." Xander ponders his next move, waiting for the others to respond. OOC: Did you catch Sandy's edit to the Barbarian class Brickdoctor? I ended up trading in my bedroll for 5 gold.
swils Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Thormanil, grinning holds up something small and fleshy. Upon closer inspection, it appears to be the tongue of the mage. Hah! That'll teach him to mock me! Noticing the odd stares he's getting from both sides, he explains: What?! It just kind of... fell off! He shouldn't have been sticking it out at a time like this anyway... Tossing the tongue off to the side, he shrugs and turns his attention back to the Pongcanae Thormanil stares down the Pongcanis Knight, readying his axes to attack from the front row.
Tanma Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 De'kra feels rejuvenated, though he is a little surprise that the potion didn't spontaneously combust or something with his luck in battle. "I attack knight," asked the shade, "I help stop knight make sentinel move."
Tamamono Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 "Thank you, but I have a potion that I can use instead. You could defeat one or more of the remaining opponents instead." "Okay. I've changed the order of action so that Ad-Hoh will be able to drink his potion before our enemies have the chance to do special damage." Order of action: Ad-Hoh Leo Xander Thormanil Cinna Benji De'kra Tomas "Benji looks to be in worse shape than me; I'd be willing to take my chances, as my ability allows me to recover health after the battle is over." "Good point." "How about you, Benji? I'm going to go ahead and attack for now, but if you want me to heal you, I will." I will attack Pongcanis Rogue from the front row. Doc, do I choose Flare's action as well?
Brickdoctor Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 OOC: Did you catch Sandy's edit to the Barbarian class Brickdoctor? I ended up trading in my bedroll for 5 gold. QM Note:I did, but I forgot to edit that. I'll fix it after the next round. "Okay. I've changed the order of action so that Ad-Hoh will be able to drink his potion before our enemies have the chance to do special damage." "Remember, heroes, Sir Leo has taken the Sentinel position, so you won't take Damage this round. Just making sure you know." Doc, do I choose Flare's action as well? QM Note:Yes.
Tamamono Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 "Remember, heroes, Sir Leo has taken the Sentinel position, so you won't take Damage this round. Just making sure you know." "Oh, I completely forgot about that! I'll definitely be attacking the Rogue then. Ad-Hoh, could you attack the Rogue, the Barbarian, or the Ranger instead of drinking your potion?" Benji will attack Pongcanis Ranger from the back row.
Brickdoctor Posted September 28, 2011 Author Posted September 28, 2011 QM Note: Do you want to alter the Order of Actions, then? The current one has Ad-Hoh going first.
posades Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Xander notices the opposing Barbarian staggering, seizing the opportunity to strike the finishing blow. Xander readies an attack at Pongcanis Barbarian from the front row.
Flare Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 "I also have a potion. I don't know if it would be more efficient for you to heal me, and then I attack, or if I should drink the potion, and you can attack. What say you?"
swils Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 "I also have a potion. I don't know if it would be more efficient for you to heal me, and then I attack, or if I should drink the potion, and you can attack. What say you?" Worry about that after this next volley, Benji! Leo has offered us his shield, so you can let loose this turn without fear of being struck down!
ADHO15 Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 "Very well. In that case I shall melee attack the Pongcanis Rogue from the front row."
Tanma Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 As De'kra goes to attack the knight on the front row, he briefly ponders why the enemies give them time to plan and replan. He wasn't complaining, it was very kind of them not to attack the heroes while they planned. It just was odd based on their diet.
Flare Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 "Thank you good knight Leo!" Benji will attack Pongcanis Ranger from the back row.
ADHO15 Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 "Remember, heroes, Sir Leo has taken the Sentinel position, so you won't take Damage this round. Just making sure you know." "Oh, I completely forgot about that! Benji will attack Pongcanis Ranger from the back row. Benji will attack Pongcanis Ranger from the back row. OOC: I'm not sure if I've missed something, but shouldn't you be attacking from the front row if you can't take damage? There doesn't seem much point in halving the power of your attack if you can't be attacked yourself. Sorry to keep asking if the answers to some of these queries are obvious.
Tanma Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 OOC: I'm not sure if I've missed something, but shouldn't you be attacking from the front row if you can't take damage? There doesn't seem much point in halving the power of your attack if you can't be attacked yourself. Sorry to keep asking if the answers to some of these queries are obvious. OOC: Well rangers have ranged weapons, which I assume work just as fine farther away. De'kra readied to aid in the assault on the knight, and wondered what the Mopag would be like. Would they be scared of outsiders, or would they distrust them? Or would waiting in a vulnerable position gain their respect?
TheBoyWonder Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 I attack the rogue from the front row!
Flare Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 OOC: @Brickdoctor - which would be better to attack from, the back row or the front row?
Tamamono Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 QM Note: Do you want to alter the Order of Actions, then? The current one has Ad-Hoh going first. "I don't think it matters. Your weapon is ranged, so it will have full effect either way."
