swils Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 "Do you take me for a fool? He is no Lion Knight. He's also armed and not restrained. If he is indeed a Lion Knight, that would make you his ally." Nonsense... he's, uh.. heavily sedated!
Brickdoctor Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 Nonsense... he's, uh.. heavily sedated! "Even if he was, he still is evidently not a Lion Knight."
Darkdragon Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 "Even if he was, he still is evidently not a Lion Knight." "Ignoring the fact he is armed, How can you recognize a Lion Knight without questioning?"
Tamamono Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 "Let me assure you, we are no friends of the Lion Knights. In fact, we are currently searching for them. We heard rumors that they were here in R'Klif, so we came to see what we could find out." Would JediAnakin's diplomacy skill work here?
Brickdoctor Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 "Ignoring the fact he is armed, How can you recognize a Lion Knight without questioning?" "He doesn't bear the crest of the Lion Knights. If he is, in fact, a Lion Knight, he either dressed himself up that way or someone forced him to dress up that way so he would not appear to be a Lion Knight, in which case he or that person (or both) is hiding something. Are you hiding something?" "Let me assure you, we are no friends of the Lion Knights. In fact, we are currently searching for them. We heard rumors that they were here in R'Klif, so we came to see what we could find out." "Easily said. Not so easily proven." Would JediAnakin's diplomacy skill work here? QM Note:As a matter of fact, it could. But not the way swils is using it.
swils Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 QM Note: As a matter of fact, it could. But not the way swils is using it. Welp, my plan C failed, back to plan B. Leo, get to talking! Perhaps Sir Leo could persuade him. I don't think I can stand this high-and-mighty much longer without resorting to more.. barbaric means of negotiation, and I doubt that would help our cause very much.
Tamamono Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 QM Note: As a matter of fact, it could. But not the way swils is using it. "Sir Leo, could you please try to persuade these gentle...elves(? ) to let us pass? They're being rather unreasonable."
Tanma Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 De'kra waited to see if anyone in the group would reply to his suggestions. Thus far he was glad that he was right that the elves were in R'Kilf would aid outsiders, or at least he appeared to be orrect. Only time would tell if he was truly right.
Flare Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 "My dear elf brothers, even if you can't let the rest of these um people to enter, you can trust me, right? I'm half brobric elf myself..."
Brickdoctor Posted October 1, 2011 Author Posted October 1, 2011 "My dear elf brothers, even if you can't let the rest of these um people to enter, you can trust me, right? I'm half brobric elf myself..." "Not from our point of view. We think of you as half-human. That's almost as bad as being a barbarian. Disgraceful."
Flare Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 "Not from our point of view. We think of you as half-human. That's almost as bad as being a barbarian. Disgraceful." *grumble* "Pessimists..."
Flare Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 To the other quest-members: "I think we might have to take these snobby elves down. What else can we do?"
Tanma Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 De'kra nodded, and wondered how to proceed. In all honesty his interactions with Sapient races had never gotten so complex. To the group he clicked, "You think elves think that Heroes and I distraction clue or just distrust? Maybe Lion Knights use disguise? Also, heroes and I know elves no like strangers, they will not work with outsiders like Lion Knights. They not heroes and I enemies, not now. Heroica and Elves fight each other, Lion Knights win. But Heroica and Elves help another, Heroica and Elves win. Not battle, could still trade information. Maybe ask elves why they choose to guard R'Kilf? Other places like Mopag forest attacked, why protect here? Maybe in exchange for knowledge, heroes and I give lion dagger, might heroes and I kept it. Elves might learn something of dagger we not learn." De'kra reminded the others of his previous suggestions. Will any of his ideas be useful in this situation, or will his lack of social interaction limit his usefulness in this situation?
TheBoyWonder Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Ok, Elves, We are heroes. We are after the lion knights. I would like to use my diplomacy skill!
Brickdoctor Posted October 1, 2011 Author Posted October 1, 2011 Ok, Elves, We are heroes. We are after the lion knights. I would like to use my diplomacy skill! You approach the elves and explain the situation,"All right, you don't seem to be Lion Knights. We'll let you into the village. But I'm warning you, if you're here to cause trouble, you will be eliminated." The Brobric Elves step aside and allow the party to pass. I breathe a sigh of relief and turn to the group. "All right, now that we're here, there are two buildings open to us, the Dragon's Head Tavern and the R'Kilf Inn. Where do you want to go?"
Tamamono Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 "Thank you, Sir Leo! I don't think we would've been able to get past those guards without your diplomacy." "All right, now that we're here, there are two buildings open to us, the Dragon's Head Tavern and the R'Kilf Inn. Where do you want to go?" "I think we should check out the tavern first."
Brickdoctor Posted October 1, 2011 Author Posted October 1, 2011 The Dragon's Head Tavern is like all the others we've visited thus far - dim and full of noisy people. Apparently those who are unable to leave because of the elven blockade are spending their time eating, drinking, and being merry. Speaking of the Brobric elves, there are some here, too, and watching us carefully...
Flare Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 I see another pogganogga warrior... we better be careful...
Tanma Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 De'kra bows to the elves discreetly as he looks around the inn. He made a mental note to talk to a Brobric Elf at some point, they seem very passionate about protecting Uland from outsiders. The elves aren't even based here, yet are making a presense here to scare off foes. That is, if they are being honest. But De'kra had no reason to suspect the elves, so he might as well observe them. There was something about the warriors that reminded him of that Veteran.
ADHO15 Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 "I would like to see what is being nailed to the far wall."
Brickdoctor Posted October 1, 2011 Author Posted October 1, 2011 "I would like to see what is being nailed to the far wall." Approaching the far wall, you see an announcement made by the Brobric Elves. It lists the details of the blockade and asks for any wishing to assist the Brobric Elves in driving the Lion Knights off Uland to report to Lord Keveak at the Old Red House.
Tamamono Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Tomas walks up to the Brobric Elves. "Greetings. My companions and I are looking for the Lion Knights. You wouldn't happen to know where to find them, would you?" Approaching the far wall, you see an announcement made by the Brobric Elves. It lists the details of the blockade and asks for any wishing to assist the Brobric Elves in driving the Lion Knights off Uland to report to Lord Keveak at the Old Red House. "It might be a good idea to go over to that 'Old Red House' at some point and try to find out a bit more about the Lion Knights, but we should finish up here first."
posades Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 "It might be a good idea to go over to that 'Old Red House' at some point and try to find out a bit more about the Lion Knights, but we should finish up here first." Xander agreed, the red house seemed like it might lead to some more clues; as long as the heroes were in town, however, it made sense to visit all it had to offer.
Brickdoctor Posted October 1, 2011 Author Posted October 1, 2011 Tomas walks up to the Brobric Elves. "Greetings. My companions and I are looking for the Lion Knights. You wouldn't happen to know where to find them, would you?" "Last I heard, they were right here in R'Kilf. We've driven them out, now, obviously. Lord Keveak would probably know more than I do."
Tanma Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 De'kra nods, glad that the Heroes have avoided a fight, thanks to the elves. Their luck had held out thus far, but the shade preferred to be a little stronger before attempting to battle the knights.
