Benji would like to ask the fellow eating chicken about what he knows about the Lion Knights.

"Other than that the Brobric Elves have seen fit to blockade this village because of them, I don't know anything."

The red house would probably be the best place to go.

"I concur! Let us visit this Lord Keveak and see what he has to say."

De'kra clicked, "It best heroes and I go to red house, but house in R'Kilf? It not one of buildings heroes and I can go to, only dragon tavern and inn. Or I miss thing here?"

"It's normally not open to the public, but the Brobric Elves will let you in if you mention your interest in assisting them."

De'kra clicks, "Yes, heroes and I head to red house. Might best barbarian not talk to elves, only knight or cleric talk to them."

Hrmph, I'd be just as happy to sit here and enjoy another ale while the rest of you go talk to those snobbish elves. I've got no friendly business with them, unless the rest of you get into an arrangement with 'em. Why, I even offered my help back at the gate, and they shot me straight down. But I suppose I can tag along, staying in the back and lookin' pretty, if you all want.

De'kra nods, glad that they might not have such a hard time with diplomacy this time around. As long as solely the knight and their leader communicated, the odds of offending the elves was greatly reduced.

Seeing the advertisement, the heroes and I head for the Old Red House. Though dilapidated - and red - on the outside, inside, it's well-kept and no more red than your average building. We speak to the guard at the door and state our purpose for coming here, and enter the house.

The candles are unlit, for sunlight is streaming in from a large glass window on our left. Lord Keveak was speaking to two of his lieutenants; all three turn upon our entry. The elf in the center, a confident expression on his face and a billowing cloak upon his back, is evidently the man we're looking for.

"Ah, welcome! This must be a result of the proclamation in the Dragon's Head. Tell me, who might you be?"

"Greetings, Lord Keveak. We are travelers from Heroica, and we're currently looking for the Lion Knights. Do you know anything of their whereabouts?"

"The Brobric Elves are monitoring the movements of those villainous Lion Knights. But tell me, why should you be privy to that information?"

I whisper to Isaac, "Mr. Shawe, are we allowed to tell outsiders about the mission?"

"As long as you don't tell them who I am or that you're working for the Shadeaux, you can tell them anything you want."

De'kra looked over the three elfin generals. The one to the left of the group donned a cloak, and wore the war paint that some of the heroes at Heroica had worn. The ight most elf seemed intrigued by the group, as though he was analyzing them with all the skill of a trained tracker. The center figure seemed the most at ease, but his hair seemed it be graying in front. De'kra had yet to see an elf with so much aging, and pondered to himself how old this elf was.

QM Note:

That's just the way the light hits the element. The hair print is, in fact, entirely blonde.

"Sounds good."

"My companions and I have been hired to track down these Lion Knights."

"My companions and I have been hired to track down these Lion Knights."

"I see.

"I don't have much against giving out the information, as I'm not proud enough to think we Brobric Elves can take on those despicable invaders by ourselves. But I'm not about to give it out for free. What's in it for us?"

"It depends. What are you interested in? If it's gold you want, then we can't help you, but if you're looking for help in driving off the invaders, we'd be happy to oblige.

Would JediAnakin's diplomacy skill work here?

De'kra clicked softly to Tomas, "It not much, but heroes and I have weapons. Maybe heroes and I and three weapons give up one weapon, not paid tool though. Elves go to war, need all gear elves get. I not use Fang Dagger in near future, Pongcanis dagger enough."

"We have no need of your human trinkets. An alliance, on the other hand, involving a written contract, would be acceptable."

QM Note:

You won't know unless you try.

"What would this contract include?"

Challenge accepted. "Sir Leo, could you try to negotiate with Lord Keveak?"
