posades Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Xander deftly lifts the hammer from his back, brandishing the massive weapon; he quickly proceeds to attack Thief from front row.
ADHO15 Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 "[Yawn] Sorry friends, I was deep in sleep." Ad-Hoh rises and lifts his staff high, ready to attack the thief from the back row.
Tanma Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 De'kra felt glad that he had found a thief, and readied to attack the thief from the front row.
Flare Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 "Ah, okay. Benji will attack Thief from the back row." Yes, Benji will attack Thief from the back row OOC: Sorry everyone that I'm late, I've been busy and just noticed this now. I'll keep on top of it...
TheBoyWonder Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 (edited) I like the order of battle. I will Attack the Thief from the front row! OOC: I had the Bedroll before, jut forgot to update it. SORRY. Edited September 21, 2011 by JediAnakin

The sun has risen high and a few puffy white clouds float lazily through the late morning sky by the time we arrive at a hill on the outskirts of Bric'Lin trading post.. Visible in the distance are some of the buildings in the trading post. Although it began as a few shacks and a tavern at the edge of the Eubric Plains, Bric'Lin's position has granted it much wealth and prestige. A low wall now protects the city from factions who would attempt to gain control of it, and trees have been planted to offer relief from the hot afternoon sun. Buildings can be seen behind the wall, and rising above them all is the Bric'Lin Emporium, a massive building selling just about everything. "There it is: Bric'Lin Trading Post. "Now then, I have a list of the buildings we can visit: "The Bric'Lin Emporium is owned by a group of prestigious traders, and is the largest market outside of Eubric and the Free Island's largest indoor market. It's one big store. "The Pale Mermaid Tavern is owned by a pair of former pirates, who were captured by the Bonepartes and imprisoned. Upon release, they opened the Pale Mermaid to spread their love of pirate rum, though they also sell Mead to traveling heroes. "The Bric'Lin Inn is the place to stay for the night*. It offers the chance to rest and regain Health without need for a Bedroll. "All other buildings are not open to the public. "Where do you wish to visit first?" QM Note: *Note that the 'night' I mention when describing the inn is not a Night when you can be attacked. Those only occur on the roads.
Tanma Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 De'kra stretches his limbs, releasing some tension. He was glad that the group had won the first battle, but this had been a low level fight, other duels won't be as safe. Looking over the region, the shade clicks, "I doubt heroes and I have money for big store, two of heroes and I have no gold. I suggest store only might heroes and I have extra time. It not night yet, so perhaps Pale Mher maid best choice. What you think?
TheBoyWonder Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 I think the Emporium. Also, I do not mind if we decide the inn. I just feel the Emporium holds a secret or two.

Tamamono Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 "Hoorah, we are victorious!" "As for the spoils, I think I'll give five gold to De'kra, and five gold to Cinna, as neither of them have any gold left over. "So, where to next? First things first though, I'd like to heal Ad-Hoh." De'kra stretches his limbs, releasing some tension. He was glad that the group had won the first battle, but this had been a low level fight, other duels won't be as safe. Most of us have little to no money left after the Marketplace, but that doesn't mean that we can't look fro clues there. Any of the buildings could hold someone who knows something about the lion knife, so I say we check them all at some point or another." I think the Emporium. Also, I do not mind if we decide the inn. swils Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 (edited) Isaac, you didn't happen to mention *what* was being stolen from the caravans that were being raided, did you? Could the thieves have taken some of the loot and pawned it off at the emporium for a quick sale, garnering at least a small profit while minimizing the hot goods they had to carry with them? Surely, being presitigious traders, the Emporium's clerks would leap at any such good deals. Perhaps, if you recognize any of the items for sale there as being stolen, we could press the employ for information regarding the supplier? OOC: I'm on a mobile right now, so I'll update my signature later today. Edited September 21, 2011 by swils

I acidently forgot to update my sig when I went market before. I have 0 Gold not 10, and I have a bedroll. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Tanma Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 De'kra nodded, as they could at least search the store. And who knows, they might find something cheap. After the barbarian spoke, the shade stepped back. He had a good point, if they had sold their loot hints of it could be at the store. But would the merchants reveal the names of their customers? OOC: I believe that when you level up your total health increases, is this correct?

"The House of Shadeaux has many wagons and ships transporting goods throughout the Free Islands and portions of the rest of the world. We have many competitors who wish to cause us to lose resources. Up until a few days before this Quest was advertised, there was a spy inside our logistics headquarters. He was dealt with appropriately, but we decided that we could not deal with an enemy powerful enough to insert such a spy without enlisting the help of Heroica."Being the Slightly Less Dearly Beloved Second-in-Command of Security of the House of Shadeaux, I can't tell you any more on the subject." Darkdragon Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 (edited) "Thank you for the gold. I am also of the mind we should head to the emporium first. Perhaps one of the merchants will recognize the dagger." While we wait for the group to decide to move on, I would like to dig near the city sign to see if there is anything of interest. Edited September 21, 2011 by darkdragon
TheBoyWonder Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Ad-hoh and Benji would probably agree, but anyway, we have a majority, shall we proceed? OOC: I Pmed you a link!
Brickdoctor Posted September 21, 2011 Author Posted September 21, 2011 QM Note: Health and Ether have been updated in the previous Party List. JediAnakin, your base Health is 10, so your current Health is 11. Ad-hoh and Benji would probably agree, but anyway, we have a majority, shall we proceed? "Neither you nor I have the power to make that decision. It rests in the hands of the Party Leader."
swils Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Well, I still put my vote towards the Emporium. At least, a few of us could go there and have a look around (it IS a large establishment, afterall), and ask a few questions of the traders there. You, Isaac, could peruse the aisles on your own, and alert us if you recognize anything as being stolen, while still keeping us on a need-to-know basis. If a few of us wish to dig around at the Pale Mher simultaneously, splitting up shouldnt be too much of a problem (as long as no one starts any bar room brawls! Hah!)

You decide to dig near the city sign, but all you find are a couple rusty nails someone dropped when the sign was installed.
Tamamono Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Ad-hoh and Benji would probably agree, but anyway, we have a majority, shall we proceed? "Indeed we shall. Onwards to the Emporium!"

Brickdoctor Posted September 21, 2011 Author Posted September 21, 2011 The party decides to visit first the largest building in Bric'Lin, so I follow them to the Emporium. The Bric'Lin Emporium is lit by a combination of candle light and sunlight that shines through the large glass skylight in the roof. It's filled with people. Items for sale are displayed throughout the building. Items for Sale: Bone - Can be thrown at monsters to distract them for a turn. Costs 10 Gold. Potion – Restores 10 health to the target. Costs 4 Gold. Tonic – Restores 5 ether to the target. Costs 18 Gold. Elixir – Restores 50 health and 10 ether to the target and removes all negative effects from the target during a battle. Costs 48 Gold. Remedy – Removes all negative effects from the target during a battle. Costs 12 Gold. Phoenix Essence – Revives a fallen ally with full health during a battle. Costs 75 Gold. You may sell anything you want in your inventory here, except for Grand Tonics, Grand Potions, and bottles of Mead, which are not sold at the Emporium. When selling, the price should be based on the prices shown here, not those of the Eubric Marketplace.
TheBoyWonder Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 I may not have any gold, but lets ask the merchants if they recognise the dagger.
