Cinna will stay with De'kra in the hope that she can stop any trouble.

"I think I'll stay with our confused friend. The city seems to be making things worse in his mind. If I give you the gold required, would someone do me the favor of picking up a bedroll from the marketplace?"

De'kra notices that Cinna is following him, causing a small tremor in his body. Other than that however he tried to ignore her presence. As he walks through the city, the shade spots a shadowed figure with piercing fire eyes. To the gaze of Cinna, the entity might look a lot like De'kra, but with ripped clothes and a larger body. Something about the entity calms De'kra, and he suddenly finds himself tired. Eventually he collapses, just as the figure approaches the two of them.

Having been but a few steps away at all times, Cinna sees De'kra collapse as the stranger approaches. She rushes to his side to help him (and make sure he isn't pickpocketed). Kneeling beside him, she looks up at the stranger with anger.

"What have you done to him? De'kra is not well and now he has passed out. Who are you? What do you want with him?"

She looks around to see if Tomas is nearby.

"De'kra!" Tomas rushes to where De'kra laying on the ground. "What happened to him?"

The strange wheezes, "I did nothing too him, at least not directly. Seeing me helped unlock his memories for a brief second, enough to overwhelm his mind and reboot him. When he awakens he will forget who he is again, luckily for you." The stranger produces a dark orb from his cloak, and smashes it into De'kra. The orb shatters into glass, but the darkness inside flows into the shade.

"Oh thank goodness Tomas. This stranger walked up and De'kra collapsed here in the street. Can you tell what is wrong with him? Has he been attacked? I saw no weapons and have not been attacked myself."

The stranger produces a dark orb from his cloak, and smashes it into De'kra. The orb shatters into glass, but the darkness inside flows into the shade.

Cinna reaches out to stop the stranger.

"Stop! What are doing to him!", but she is too late to stop the darkness. "What have you done?"

The stranger starts to walk away and wheezes, "He died recently didn't he. He can't die for long, but every time our kind expires, we get sent back to our prison. And our prison is...difficult to escape to say the least. A chunk of his essence got lost when he returned to the mortal realm, and without it his memories were incomplete. That orb was that chunk of his body, specifically a piece of his chest. With his body restored he should recall you "Singles," and a little more of his old life. Hopefully he won't recall everything though."

Watching the stranger walk away, Cinna stares in silent disbeleif of what he has just told them. She looks back down to De'kra and speaks to him, not knowing if he can hear her or not.

"I don't know how that darkness can be a piece of your body De'kra, but I hope you come back to us soon and are not so much afraid."

The figure pauses and wheezes, "Don't tell him about me, it would be...bad." The figure vanishes into an alley, leaving only the smell of ink and parchment behind.

De'kra begins to stir, and licks, "I hurt, what happen to I? Last event I remember; fighting blacksmith and thugs. But fight not in Eubric." The shade turned to face Cinna, and visibly cringed.

I am ready to continue on our journey when the rest of you have finished here."

"Indeed, I'm certainly glad he got his memory back!"

"Is everyone ready to depart?"

De'kra looks down and clicks, "Sorry, I remember now. I had see three peasants dead and blood in heroes' swords, without I memories it scary. Not to mention you all had look, odd in I eyes. Like people not look like you. It...confusing. I apologize Makuta, you no wrong make...I need level six." The shade scampered off towards the library, a spark of memory awakened.

A short time later De'kra returned, armed with knowledge on the quest five and the official reports of quest six. "Heroes and I go might leader want," he clicked, "I finish here."

"De'kra! I am glad you are feeling better! :classic: I was getting very worried about you..."

Benji walks over to the marketplace and decides if he wants to buy something.

Benji walks back. "Eh, didn't find anything. I wanted to upgrade my Pongcanis Crossbow but unfortunately even if I sold my other weapons I would be 15 gold short. Oh well. Maybe I can do that after the quest..."

"I'm ready to get moving!"

De'kra waits for the leader to make the decision, all the while staring at the ground. The shade would tremble every so often, disturbed that his memories had vanished after losing one fight. What if he later went on a quest with a bunch of level one heroes, and lost his memories? He might slaughter the bunch of them. Worst of all the group say a glimpse into his thoughts, the fear he feels towards the land of Uland. It is so...strange yet so familiar. It is an uncanny valley, and the mixture of similarity and difference terrifies him. He has learned to accept the island and trust the heroes, but the feelings never fade. That sun knew why the felt this way, always mocking him. The shade silently promised himself that he would reach level six, to stop this from happening again.

The Brobric Forest is dense and the road is rough and rocky, but with the stars peeking through the trees and the moon a constant companion to travelers, it isn't nearly as forbidding as the Mopag Forest.

JediAnakin, you apparently embedded the avatar you use in your profile, so when you changed that to the Cirque du Freak avatar, it was changed here, too. Please upload the Heroica avatar to a site such as Brickshelf or attach it to your next post so I can fix that.

De'kra snarls at the stars, as they burn into him. The celestial orbs bring no physical pain, but instead they cause a rage. The shade sleeps with his bedroll underneath a log, to escape the agony of the stars. Even as he hid he could feel the stars taunting him, mocking him.

Well, it sure is good to be back on our journey, and even better that we had a peaceful night's rest. And De'kra, it's good to have you back. Now, unless theres anything interesting to be found or dug up in that tall grass, I'd vote we continue on.
