ADHO15 Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 "Well I do not have much gold, so I will not be spending the morning shopping. I shall just tag along and wait for our meeting with the Elf Lord."
Tanma Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 De'kra shrugs and clicks, "I no know might I have enough gold for anything, but worth try. Other members might have gold, and might heroes and I find something group need, heroes and I might pool together all gold."
Flare Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 "I also do not have much gold. Perhaps we can just do some window-shopping, as the ladies back in my hometown called it." *chuckles*
Tanma Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 De'kra wasn't sure why the ranger wanted to buy windows, since the team had no home to put them in. And it would only slow the group down if they carried windows on their journey. And what was "laid ease?" The shade decided not to ask about this thugh, as perhaps another hero would reveal its meaning by its reply.
Tamamono Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 "Alright then, The Questing Outfitter's Shop it is!"
Tanma Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 De'kra clicked in agreement, as the part headed towards the Questing Outfitter's Shop. The shade wondered silent if the establishment would be currently under elf control, or if the original shop owners would still have power over their store. The elves after all might not want rare and possible dangerous items to be given to every traveler.
Brickdoctor Posted October 19, 2011 Author Posted October 19, 2011 We head to the Questing Outfitter's Shop. It's a larger building attached to a stable. "Heroes! What can I do for you? Preparing to travel through Brobric Pass, perhaps? I've everything you'll need to make it a painless journey." Horse - Halves the travel time for up to two party members. Costs 50 Gold. Rent a Horse - Provides the same effect as a Horse, but the rented Horse must be returned at the end of the quest. Costs 10 Gold. Pickaxe - Allows the hero to dig through a breakable wall or obstacle. Costs 20 Gold. Bedroll - Allows the hero to rest and regain Health in a safe place. Costs 5 Gold. "Got some nice cloaks and robes over here, too, for you Mages, Rogues, and Clerics:" Cloak of the Blue Assassin (SP: 1, suitable for Rogues) - Grants the ability to dodge attacks faster, providing a small amount of protection against attack. Costs 30 Gold. Robe of Magi (SP: 1, suitable for Mages and Clerics) - Magically provides a small amount of protection against attack. Costs 30 Gold. Robe of Thaumaturges (suitable for Clerics) - Grants the ability to absorb an attack should the wearer choose to do so, expending his or her Ether by the amount of Damage divided by 3. Costs 50 Gold. "Robes like this one are available only in Brobric:" Cloak of the Elven Spy (suitable for Rogues) - Grants the ability to spy on one's enemies, allowing the wearer to view the enemies' stats before deciding whether or not to attack, if such a choice presents itself. Costs 50 Gold.
Darkdragon Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 "Oh what a lovely cloak. If only I had more gold. "
Tamamono Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 "Interesting array of items you have there... Those are some wonderful cloaks! Unfortunately, we're all a bit short on gold at the moment. I think we could afford to rent four horses if we wanted to, but I don't think it would be a worthwhile investment." "I think everyone who doesn't currently have a bedroll should buy one now."

I think we could afford to rent four horses if we wanted to, but I don't think it would be a worthwhile investment." "Yes, I agree." "I think everyone who doesn't currently have a bedroll should buy one now." "Why so? We regain health at night anyway, and I always have my potion."
Tamamono Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 "Why so? We regain health at night anyway, and I always have my potion." "Really? I was under the impression that you had to have a bedroll to regain health at night."
ADHO15 Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 "Really? I was under the impression that you had to have a bedroll to regain health at night." "I thought so too originally. I think bedrolls are useful outside of battles, whereas night-time sleeping and regaining health can only happen at certain times (during Nights)."
Brickdoctor Posted October 19, 2011 Author Posted October 19, 2011 QM Note: :wall: Bedrolls are required to regain Health, unless you're a Barbarian. Sorry, ADHO and JediAnakin. Last post of party corrected.

"Aw why did you bring that up, Tomas? I've been regaining free health throughout the quest! (I wasn't keeping this a secret; I just didn't understand how it worked) In that case, I would like to buy a bedroll please, shopkeep. Here is five gold."

Just forgot this time around.

ADHO15 Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 "Well when we have all concluded our business here, I would like to cast my vote for visiting the tavern."
Brickdoctor Posted October 19, 2011 Author Posted October 19, 2011 "Well when we have all concluded our business here, I would like to cast my vote for visiting the tavern." "If you're all done here, we shouldn't keep Lord Normorn waiting. Like I said, you had enough time to visit one of the public buildings. You can always visit the other three buildings after meeting Lord Normorn."
Tanma Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 De'kra nods and clicks, "I reafy to go." The shade feels a little sad that he cannot afford the capes of the stand, as they would be quite useful to him, and in some cases to the group at large. But sadly it doesn't appear like he will get them anytime soon.

But sadly it doesn't appear like he will get them anytime soon. Before we go, I would be willing to front a fraction of the cost for that elven cloak for De'kra, if anyone else would help cover the rest of the cost (and of course, De'kra would be expected to pay us back as soon as he was able). Having the ability to know what sort of a threat we may be facing ahead of time could prove invaluable. And imagine if some big burly guard standing between us and our objective turns out to be a total pushover? Anyone's thoughts, before we head out? Edit, OOC: *snip*, stupid mobile causing repeated text. Grumblegrumble. Edited October 20, 2011 by swils

I have a gut feeling that we'll have to infiltrate the Lion Knights' camp pretty soon, so having the ability to check each enemy's stats before we go rushing into battle against them would be a big help."
swils Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 (edited) Alright then! Thormanil takes his 25 gold and gives it to De'kra. Thormanil now has 0 gold (25-25). De'kra now has 33 gold (8+25). A new.. uh... friend.. pet.. slug.. thing... and a new cloak! Christmas comes early! Ha ha! Edit, OOC: Tanma, if you don't want to purchase the cloak after all, just give the word. I'm just acting based on your last post. Edited October 20, 2011 by swils

swils Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 "Thormanil, if you want to redistribute the gold so that we're giving more equal amounts, we can." Naw, quite alright! Plenty of time left to stumble across an ancient treasure vault in this region, heh, and besides, I'll know where to find him if he tries to bail on the IOU! Ha ha!
