Tamamono Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 You decide to stay to watch the shed throughout the Night. About three hours after sunset, two men, one in a grey cloak trimmed in blue and the other in a brown one showing hints of something bright red underneath, meet in front of the shed. They converse in hushed tones. "-the Shadeaux should get their hands out of this mes-" "-n- -atter, all I care about is the Brobric Elves, now. They're probably just upset about that weap- -ash they got tricked into bu- -ing." "I'm o- -o Bric'Lin, then." The two depart just as quietly as they came. Tomas waits until the two have left before whispering to the others, "I wonder what all that was all about?" "Since it is on our main route, I suggest we follow the one heading to Bric'Lin. If we're lucky we can catch him before he gets there."
Flare Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 (edited) You waste 1 Ammo. You now have Unlimited Ammo remaining. "Dang it." Tomas waits until the two have left before whispering to the others, "I wonder what all that was all about?" "Since it is on our main route, I suggest we follow the one heading to Bric'Lin. If we're lucky we can catch him before he gets there." Benji nods in agreement. "Yeah, lets follow him." Edited November 7, 2011 by Flare

"Since it is on our main route, I suggest we follow the one heading to Bric'Lin. If we're lucky we can catch him before he gets there." "I agree, but which man are we following to Bric'lin?"
Tamamono Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 "I agree, but which man are we following to Bric'lin?" "I don't know." "Mr. Shawe, which man is going to Bric'lin?"
Brickdoctor Posted November 7, 2011 Author Posted November 7, 2011 OOC: Did either man have any kind of emblem on his cloak? It's possible that they could be representatives of the Hinckwell and Wolfgang organisations. No. You can see that the man in brown and red went to Bric'Lin.

Tanma Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 (edited) De'kra nods and follows after the group. Inside the little shade seeds of doubt continue to be nurtured, causing an emptiness in his world. This whole quest he had done partially nothing, except briefly lose his memories once more. The group might have been better off had De'kra been left behind instead of Xander, they surely would have made much more progress by now. Edited November 7, 2011 by Tanma
TheBoyWonder Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Dekra, I can tell you are thinking about how you have not done much, your body Language is a big sign. But Dekra, I feel the same way. However, we are a team. We are all important. My Shield has been lacking, but in the assassin fight we were both useful. Dekra, have some hope. Maybe you might get lucky, be the key piece in a fight.
Tanma Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 IC: De'kra nodded at the knight, and his movements seemed happier. This feeling was not forged from the fire of Leo's words however, rather it was crafted from the fact that De'kra's assumption that his body language meant the same thing as the Ulanders was right. He had woken up with this sense of gestures and body movements, and thus he wasn't sure how they came off to the others. Sure he could get bits and pieces from what others did, but it was hard to get direct confirmation. After all you can't just walk up to someone and ask them why the body moves like it does, people get mad and you and start hitting you with sticks. Of course, it might have been the way De'kra phrased it... The shade suddenly clicked, "What elves tricked into burn? It seem like weapons, but spaces too small to make weapon. Heroes have thoughts?"
TheBoyWonder Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 A howl rings out. "I know that sound. A wolf's Howl. Could it be?" A wolf comes charging towards me. As some of the party raise their weapons, I say " Do NOT attack. I know this wolf, It is Lupus. My brother's wolf. It seems to be wanting to join me. What's that? A note tied to you." The note reads: Leo, I know you took a big risk leaving the old town, like me. I am on my own adventure. Don't forget me! Look after Lupus for me. He will accompany you. Make sure you show him to Cronk and Docken! See you soon Brother. P.S. Watch out for Shuriken throwing Crusaders! "Hey Lupus!" OOC: A bit of Character Development, and a reference to Luc, my old character. Brickdoctor knew about him and his Shuriken Throwing Crusader Hall fight!
swils Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 A wolf in the park in the middle of town, now there's something you don't see every day, hah! So, are we off to Bric'lin, then?
Brickdoctor Posted November 8, 2011 Author Posted November 8, 2011 You trail the man in the brown cloak on the Eubric Highway towards Bric'Lin. About halfway there, he turns off at an opening in the fence. You stop short, for armed guards are patrolling the area. "We've found the Lion Knights, even if these are poorly armed and clothed only in leather and quilted armor." You keep moving along the road so as to avoid suspicion, but you can hear the men converse as you pass by. "Welcome back, sir." "Thank you. Has Sir Leonard finished inspecting the fields yet?" "Almost, sir. We should be ready to move out in a couple hours." "Very good."

"Almost, sir. We should be ready to move out in a couple hours." "Very good." "The brown cloaked man is a Lion Knight? Well, that saves us some trouble." "This means that the Lion Knights are working with whoever issued the Wanted Ad. Do you think the man in the dark gray cloak was a Hinckwell?" "De'kra, could you use your cloak to determine the stats of the guards?"
swils Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 "De'kra, could you use your cloak to determine the stats of the guards?" And, while you're at it, perhaps you could determine just *how many* guards there are? There's quite a few tents here, I'm sure any swordplay or fireworks would rouse at least a few soldiers from their sleep... Heh

Tamamono Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Despite your encouragement, De'kra's X-ray Vision Skill remains at 0, and he is unable to see how many men are in the camp or which tents house which men. "Well, those footsoldiers look easy enough to beat, but that 'sound the alarm' action sounds rather troublesome." "Mr. Shawe, would it be possible to kill those footsoldiers without waking everybody in the camp up? I think it would be best if we could sneak it quietly."
swils Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Despite your encouragement, De'kra's X-ray Vision Skill remains at 0, and he is unable to see how many men are in the camp or which tents house which men. Dangit, I *knew* I should have told him to allot more stat points buy those x-ray goggles instead of the cape. What? What do you mean there wasn't a pair of x-ray goggles for sale? Of course there was! Anyway, if it's just the two guards, I think we could take them out right-quick. That map would be especially handy. Even if we trigger the alarms, we've got two rounds to finish 'em off before the reinforcements arrive... Think we'd have time to duck back into the shadows if we killed these two before the reinforcements got to us? I/OOC: Think we'd have time to duck back into the shadows Would the battle end if we killed these two before the reinforcements got to us third round after the special was rolled?

Tamamono Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 "That's something I can't answer for you. Only way for you to know is to try." Challenge accepted. "I think we should go ahead and attack the guards, since we can probably finish them off in one round. Plus, that map will be useful."
