Tamamono Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Order of action: Leo Xander Thormanil Cinna Ad-Hoh Benji De'kra Tomas OOC: I'm pretty sure that potion restored my health. "I will attack Lord Ricroar from the front row!"
Darkdragon Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 (edited) Cinna will melee attack Lord Ricroar from the back row. Edited November 16, 2011 by darkdragon
Brickdoctor Posted November 16, 2011 Author Posted November 16, 2011 OOC: I'm pretty sure that potion restored my health. "I will attack Lord Ricroar from the front row!" QM Note:Whoops, fixed. By the way, remember that a Potion only restores 10 Health, so you go from 4 to 14, and if you attack from the Front Row, you can still get knocked out if you take Damage.
Tamamono Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 QM Note: Whoops, fixed. By the way, remember that a Potion only restores 10 Health, so you go from 4 to 14, and if you attack from the Front Row, you can still get knocked out if you take Damage. OOC: Whoops, I completely forgot about that! "I think I will attack Lord Ricroar from the back row."
TheBoyWonder Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 I attack Lord Ricroar from the Front Row. Wouldn't my shield still protect the team this round?
Tanma Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 IC: De'kra clicks, "I attack Keveak of front row." The shade could see that both foes were almost beaten, this round might be the last of their opponents. Odds were that De'kra wouldn't even get a chance to strike the elves, but that was okay with him.
Flare Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Benji attacks Lord Keveak from the back row. "We will be victorious!"
Brickdoctor Posted November 16, 2011 Author Posted November 16, 2011 Wouldn't my shield still protect the team this round? QM Note:No. Sentinel only lasts one Round.
ADHO15 Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 "Did I not take damage from Keveak's hit because of Leo's shield? If that is right, I shall melee attack Lord Ricroar from the back row."
Brickdoctor Posted November 16, 2011 Author Posted November 16, 2011 "Did I not take damage from Keveak's hit because of Leo's shield? QM Note:That's correct. Your Health is 14/14.
swils Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 (edited) Keep it up! I'll attack Keveak from the back row, just to be safe. Unless, of course, someone tosses a heal on me, then I'll step back up to the front lines, hah! Edited November 16, 2011 by swils
posades Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 I would, Thormanil, but it seems the battle is close to finishing so it might be better for you to play it safe while I get an extra hit in. Xander targets Lord Ricroar from the front row.

But I'm running out of splinters of this table, so it can't hurt to take it easy for a round or two. I really should grab a chunk of this table on our way out, see if the blacksmith can't work it into some new axe handles. This table is brilliant luck, I tell ya! Edited November 17, 2011 by swils

I really should grab a chunk of this table on our way out, see if the blacksmith can't work it into some new axe handles. This table is brilliant luck, I tell ya! Very well then, hopefully no further healing will be needed. OOC: Just to be clear, I could theoretically throw Thormanil a potion and make it count as my turn, right? That's what I was thinking anyways.

OOC: Just to be clear, I could theoretically throw Thormanil a potion and make it count as my turn, right? That's what I was thinking anyways. Yar, with any luck, this'll be these elves' last few breaths, and we'll have made it through fairly unscathed! Barring all these damn splinters in my legs, of course. OOC: Aye, you could, and I figured that's what you'd meant. But why waste a good potion when we've got a healbot on our side?
Brickdoctor Posted November 17, 2011 Author Posted November 17, 2011 OOC: Just to be clear, I could theoretically throw Thormanil a potion and make it count as my turn, right? That's what I was thinking anyways. QM Note:You could, but you'd use up a Turn throwing it, Thormanil would have to use up a Turn to catch it, and he couldn't drink it until the next Round.

Sir Leo, right off the bat you score a 20 Damage Critical Hit, bringing Lord Ricroar to the brink of defeat, and Xander, you follow up with a Frenzy. 13 Damage to all enemies fells both elves with one mighty sweep of your hammer. THE BATTLE IS VICTORIOUS! De'kra and Xander gain a level of experience, and everyone else gains half a level, so update your signatures accordingly. The enemies drop one Robe of Spell Resistance. Robe of Spell Resistance - (suitable for Clerics and Mages) Halves all Damage taken by the wearer from magic-based attacks. (whether or not an attack is magical is up to the QM, but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out) Chunk of Lucky Table - (suitable for Thormanil Nihai) This item cannot be sold or traded to another hero or NPC. Use it to create a portion of your weapon, and all your Misses will instead deal Damage equal to your WP. (the same way a Ranger's Aim works) However, doing so will reduce your weapon's WP to 1. QM Note: Once the loot is divided, I'll post the conclusion to the Quest. Sorry, swils, but you won't make it through Brobric Pass this time. But I gave you a nice piece of loot.
Tamamono Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 "Hoorah!" "I will give Chunk of Lucky Table to Thormanil and Robe of Spell Resistance to Ad-Hoh."
swils Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Great job everyone! Leo, Xander, seems I had nothing to worry about, you guys finished strong and wiped the floor with those two! And Ad-hoh, you look simply.. dashing! Hah! Now, let's see what those two have to say for themselves... Looking over at the elves, limp on the floor, he pauses, and looks to Shawe They, uh.. are they even.. ..hrm.
Brickdoctor Posted November 17, 2011 Author Posted November 17, 2011 Looking over at the elves, limp on the floor, he pauses, and looks to Shawe They, uh.. are they even.. ..hrm. "Dead." You pause, and giving one last look at Keveak's face, you turn towards the exit, but as you do, a hole is suddenly blown in the wall by an incredibly powerful spell. Brobric Elves flood into the room. You know you have no choice but to surrender. In the confusion, you drop the Wanted Ad, the Elven Gold, and the items from the Halloween gathering. You start to raise your hands, but a smoke bomb goes off in the middle of the room. Master Shawe helps you out the door, and you stumble away from Hinckwell House. A few minutes later, their purses filled with their reward in Gold, the heroes were confronted in the alleys by a cloaked figure. The figure removed his cloak to reveal the face of Commodore Martin Largus, the representative of the House of Hinckwell that the heroes had encountered on their Quest. "Heroes. Do you have any idea of the implications of what you've done? In the confusion at Hinckwell House, the Brobric Elves couldn't figure out who killed Keveak and Ricroar, and Sir Leonard left quickly for his own safety. Naturally, the elves think the Lion Knights assassinated their leaders. Because we assisted the Lion Knights, my men and the rest of the House of Hinckwell have been drawn into an inevitable war between the Lion Knights and the Brobric Elves. It will cost us a fortune simply to maintain control of our possessions on Uland. Meanwhile, the Shadeaux will be sitting on the sidelines, selling entire warehouses of arms and armor to the combatants. The balance of power in Eubric will be upset, and the Shadeaux will, for now, reign as the richest house. "The Shadeaux have deceived you - indeed, they deceived us all. The entire Quest was orchestrated by the Shadeaux. They placed the evidence to implicate the Lion Knights for the raids. They hired the assassins and thugs to try to kill you. They wanted you to kill either Sir Leonard or Lord Keveak, to provoke a war. Did you not wonder why the Shadeux torch was at Triad Park? Or why Master Shawe knew so much about the factions involved? Or which of the factions involved had the amount of money to rent the shed at Triad Park? "I wish you good luck in the coming days, heroes, for dark days are coming…" With that, Commodore Largus retreated into the shadows, and, moments later, a gold-trimmed carriage pulled out of the alleys and disappeared in the direction of Hinckwell Villa. In the coming days, war raged across the northern coast of Uland. There were those who had engineered the conflict for their own gain, and profited from it. But the vast majority of the people suffered. But there is still hope, for with every conflict, there come those who fight for more than just themselves: Heroes. To be continued…
