That is random, I can understand finding it on the street, park, car park, school etc but at a gym? What was the person doing... letting his Orc minifig watch them as they worked out?

Aren't we a sad lot? Some of us going through bins.

When I was a lad, I was out with my friends, I looked down and saw a Bobba fett Minifigure. I yelled out loud, people saw and turned. I kissed my friend, and snatched the figure from the ground :P

I went to the beach once and near this bin (I don't think any LEGO was in the bin) was some classic pirate muskets and various hinge bricks, overall it was 5 bricks! I was confused yet happy at the same time because back then I actually had no muskets!

A while ago, when my parents were getting a new car, I found a (scrapped up) female minifigure head. Later, I buried it in my old backyard so it could rest in peace. :sadnew:

I have no idea.

While I was on my flight back from New York recently, I found a Red 2x2 curve. I stuffed it in my pocket before the kid who it belonged to saw it.:laugh:

My mom recently started cleaning out old storage in our basement and found some of my old clothes from when i was about 8 years old packed away. I found and this is no joke, 27 legos including 3 minifigs and 24 blocks of different ilks. I used to shove a lot of my toys in my pockets specially minifigs to have through out my day.

on a side note my dog once ate a bag of like 100 gold lego coins and his poop was gold dotted for a couple days. I did not retrieve them.

I found my long-lost Axel figure from the Rock Raiders theme at the bottom of the laundry basket, and I found a Playmobil figure, some LEGO western rifles and a few yellow bricks in a crack in the ground in my garden. I'd lost all of them myself, so they were more rediscoveries I suppose.

When I was younger, we were putting new carpet in our house. Under the old carpet padding we found a few stray pieces of Lego, probably left behind from the previous owners

I hope that friend of yours was not the same sex as you....

I once was out with my friend and she saw a LEGO clone trooper, I kissed her then ran off and hid, I was 14 at the time. I still got that minifig somewhere

Not a really weird place but I haven't been as lucky as some of you. My parent's live in staff's son (8yo) would throw away Lego literally, he was a spoilt brat, over the years I'd end up finding the odd brick on the ground but then when she left we went to clear the place and I found a decent hand full of random plates and bricks, finders keepers, get in!

I was cleaning out my closet a few days ago and found a handful of Lego, including the missing piece to my Hailfire Droid, a minifig, a leaf, and some flex tubing. A few weeks before that, I was looking through my K'nex container to get some pieces for a school project, and found a Studios minifig and the missing arm to Nidhiki.

Nowhere terribly strange for me. The best I can do is a random red 1x2 lying in the middle of a street. It looked really new and undamaged. It is now lost somewhere in my collection.

I've actually found random lego at a lot of different places. I once found a couple of old 1990's pirates figs behind my old computer desk when I was moving everything to paint the room. Outside of my house, I found a starwars clone trooper at a car wash near the vacuum cleaner and air compressor. I also found a couple of lego bricks in my backyard that were all grimy from the weather. The most surprising place I found random lego though had to be in my dogs defication. Trust me I never got those back, and never let my dog into my lego room since.
