CorneliusMurdock Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 "Sorry Cronk, I was thinking about Haldor..." "Forward sounds good to me!" Though Cronk not share Jess' affection for Haldor personally, Cronk wish Haldor were here too. Party could use a cleric. Cronk wish Rogue Jess well in ways of heart. Cronk hope everything work out. Now if only party could get out of Arena... Quote

CorneliusMurdock Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Okay. This looks to be tough fight but Cronk know Cronk's friends can do it. Cronk sure hope whatever behind that door is worth it... Cronk will bash Guard C. Cronk's friend Felton will attack Veteran Head Guard. Cronk think plan of focusing on rally guards will work again. This is battle order: Phil Felton Hans Cronk Eric Jess Docken Henry Quote

Brickdoctor Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Friend Docken is confusing Cronk. Not hard to do... Friend Docken is confusing Friend Docken. No matter, I see we've made progress! I assume those who can do more Damage are going for Guards A and C? I attack Guard A from the Back Row, and Phil attacks Veteran Head Guard from the Front Row. (assuming that Phil is going for the enemy with the highest Health because of his Special) Quote
Peanuts Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 So, the last fight turned out somewhat well. I'll go for the Veteran Head Guard this time, attacking him from the Back Row. Quote
Khorne Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Eric will try to take down Guard B from the front row, while Hans will aid Cronk in bashing Guard C from the front row. Quote
Zepher Posted October 13, 2011 Author Posted October 13, 2011 (edited) Results of Round 1 of the Doorway Guard Fight Phil v. Vet Guard - Shield Felton v. Vet Guard - Hit Hans v. Guard C - Miss Cronk v. Guard C - Shield Eric v. Guard B - Critical Hit Jess v. Guard A - Damage Docken v. Guard A - Shield Henry v. Vet Guard - Special Damage The battle commences. Phil charges forward and slams his hammer into the Vet Guard, doing 15 damage. Felton follows behind him, and while the Vet Guard stumbles around, dizzy from the blow, Felton lands a hit dealing 2 damage. Hans howls and corners Guard C, but as he swings the Guard ducks and he misses. Cronk sees that the Guards are remaining strong, even after the first three heroes have fought, and he takes up the Sentinel Position. Eric's blood pumps through his body and he feels warm after all his recent victories. He steps up to Guard B and clubs his chest in, doing 22 damage. The guard, gasps, falls, and dies. Jess runs forward, but her thoughts are of Haldor and she is distracted. Guard A rams her face with the butt of his sword, breaking her nose and inflicting 2 damage. Blood splatters everywhere and she begins to sob. Docken yells at Jess to get back and, angered by his friends pain, let's fly three arrows, dealing 17 damage to each and killing the Vet Guard and Guard C. Henry lets his weapon fly, but it clanks off Guard A's armor, and Guard A calls forward Back-Up Guard A to fight. Brickdoctor Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 That worked nicely. With the Sentinel position taken, I suggest we all target Guard A and get him out of the way. Phil attacks Guard A from the Front Row and I attack Guard A from the Back Row. Quote

Brickdoctor Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 <Would it be appropriate to run this round automatically do you think? Since you can't take damage anyway... what do you think Brickdoctor?> I've got nothing against it. The only reason not to is the fact that there's a choice of enemies, but both are so low in Health already. Quote

CorneliusMurdock Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Well done friends! Too bad gaurds not drop anything... Cronk think Jess is in need of some healing. But Jess is really only one. Should party use healing now or try come back later when need greater? Cronk not sure Cronk will want to trek all way back here later. Quote
Sisco Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Sputtering and sneezing blood from her broken nose, Jess said "I can wait, if needed. You can wait until, Heaven forbid, I get banged up a little more. Let's take him with us, though." Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 We should wait. Just keep track of how many hallways we travel to get here so that we don't have someone die along the way back. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Cronk guess party will wait to be healed, then. (Cronk uses Cronk's diplomacy.) One question for Mr. Cleric before party go on way. Why Mr. Cleric work in this accursed place? Cronk thought Clerics have moral obligation to do right thing. Healing people just to kill each other not right. If Mr. Cleric is prisoner here, Mr. Cleric should come with Cronk and Cronk's friends and escape. What Mr. Cleric say to that? Quote

CorneliusMurdock Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 That, um, was a lovely explanation, Mr. Cleric. If Mr. Cleric is indeed being held here against cleric's will, Cronk hope Mr. Cleric will come with Cronk and friends and escape.
