CorneliusMurdock Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Good thinking, Ranger Docken! Opening Cell E should give party more info about truth of other statements. Cronk just hope nothing bad happens to Ranger Docken if a prisoner is not in cell. Cronk divide 40 gold by giving each party member 8. Quote

"I yet wonder why we can't just open all of the cells. What is the worst that could happen?" There could be something like a bomb or a highly dangerous creature inside. Quote
JimBee Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 It was dark. Only a few hours ago, Hybros was dragged from the waiting room and thrown into this small cell. He didn’t bother trying to escape, because he knew he would simply be captured again, and was too weak to overcome all of the guards by himself. The cell was obviously meant to keep all light out, to frighten its inhabitant. However, evolution had granted Hybros eyes for seeing in the dark, and the walls of the small, dank room could be seen. Not that there was anything of interest, so Hybros sat and closed his eyes, drifting into a deep slumber. In another state of consciousness, the imp looked back on his past. He heard a grumbling voice. Hybros saw himself in the waiting room again, being hit upside the head by one of the guards. He heard the voice again, except this time it wasn’t only the guard speaking, but Lady Wren at the same time. As he was falling unconscious, Hybros couldn’t be sure what he was hearing. “So much for friends,” the voice said. “They sold you out as soon as I offered the choice to them.” Traveling further back in time, Hybros remembered when he first arrived in the Free Islands, and joined Heroica. He had met good people there, people of all species. He remembered before that, when he traveled all across the old Kingdom of Ennon and the lands beyond. But before that? He could scarcely remember. Suddenly, a rush of euphoria hit the little imp, and visions of a land long ago flashed before his eyes. There were imps, many of them, on the surface world. Yes, his own people! They thrived in nature. The land was rich and peaceful, with rolling green fields, dense forests, and mountains higher than Hybros had ever seen. His people were one with the earth, and gave in took in equal amounts. It was a time long, long ago. However, such a good thing was never meant to last. The peaceful images switched to those of danger, hatred. The fire of a new era scorched the land, and the fields, the forest the mountains… they all burned. A new species – humans, they called themselves – arrived on the shores of the countries inhabited by the races of imps. They were greedy, hateful and hostile, and tried to take the bountiful land from the imps. The imp races easily put out the threat at first, using their command of nature to defeat the primitive race. Using the trees and the earth and the beasts, the imps held their ground. But they continued to come all the same, in increasing numbers and with improved technology as the years passed. The imps were constantly pushed back by the relentless virus, and eventually fled to the only place they could: underground. The war had crippled the species as a whole, and to avoid detection the surviving imps dug deeper and deeper, to avoid detection. The seemingly insatiable beast known as humanity was satisfied, and soon the conflict, in the beast’s eyes, passed into myth. The imps were forgotten, but they themselves did not forgive or forget. They had to leave everything they loved and held dear, and almost completely lost contact with nature itself in the depth of rock and earth. Such was the price to pay for survival. In their greed and lust, the humans burned the earth, leaving it in a state that could not possibly be repaired to its once awesome beauty. Meanwhile, the imps were driven into darkness, very slowly growing their numbers, so that they might live to see the surface once again. Thousands of years passed, and somehow Hybros ended up on the surface. The vision – or was it a memory? – stretched into the present again, and just before Hybros could hear the cry of a thousand of his ancient ancestors, yelling out to him. He had a purpose on this world, and he knew he would be with his people once again. *** Hybros snapped back to reality. Someone was pounding on his cell door. It was his so-called friends, the very ones that put him in this darkness, just as the humans once did to his people. Were they his friends? Obviously they cared enough to come save him, but they must have needed him to help them escape as well. He flashed with anger. Did they really want to help him? Were they so much like those who drove his people out of their homeland, or had they changed? He decided to put it out of his mind for the moment. He stood up and stepped back as the door flew open. His eyes quickly adjusted to the silhouettes of his allies, his friends. Cronk, Jess, Docken… they had come to rescue him from this prison. Hybros crawled out of the cell. Trying to sound sincere, he looked at his allies and said “Thank you,” before gathering his posture once again. He felt better than he had since the start of the quest, more powerful. He had regained the strength he had lost from the cursed seed, and was anxious to do battle. “We should open those other cell doors,” he said. “Save your friends.” Quote

CorneliusMurdock Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Hurray! Ranger Docken is very smart. Cronk can check off number one of "to do" list! Do all of Cronk's friends agree that going back to Mr. Cleric probably wise before moving forward? Tougher fights may await party. Hmm. Cronk wonder what Fox and Hen being married mean... Could Lady Wren be the Fox or the Hen? Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Thothwick was facing the cell window, though he was completely oblivious to his surroundings. In his mind he was far away, back in the jungles of Capuchin, with Byblos, and Jorge. But no, where was Jorge? Where was Jorge... Thothwick was slowly dragged back to normality as he heared the screeching of the other cell doors, and finally the screech of his own. He stood up to meet the fate the guards had brought him, and stumbled backwards when he was the Ranger, Mr. Docken. Thothwick embrace the Ranger, lifting the later of his feet. "Thank you so much! I had just about given up all hope of leaving!" Quote
Peanuts Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Henry noticed with joy that the party was reunited. "Hello, it's great to see you all back. Now, I agree we should head back to the cleric. Oh, and we made some new friends, those guys over there," Henry points towards the three contestants who helped breaking out. He then addresses Cronk: "I don't think the Fox and Hen thing means anything. It's like the non-cheese making goat, which doesn't mean anything either." Quote

Have you figured out how to get me out of this accursed place?! Remember, I can heal up to four party members, and you can space those out!" Suddenly a shock runs through all the party members, draining one health. "That's not fair!" cries Hybros. "I've only traveled through five hallways!" Brickdoctor Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Well... Cronk and Jess definitely need healing. Henry and I are a little bit low, but nothing requiring immediate attention, and we can fight from the Back Row. Felton, Phil, and Hans could use healing, too, but we can't heal all three. Felton should get healing. He's got a high Health and a defensive Special, making him a good meatshield. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 <Cronk whisper to Docken: No offense, friend Docken but Cronk would rather use healing on PCs. Besides NPCs have more health now when injured than any of party do when fully healed. Cronk promise to use meatshield responsibly. > Cronk think Cronk, Jess, and Docken should all be healed. What do friends think? Also is better to use last healing now on Henry rather than come back later and friends get all zapped? Cronk really want to know what party think. If friends go all mute again Cronk will just decide Cronk's self. Quote
JimBee Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Yes, you guys should heal. Afterwards, I think we should return to the waiting room (can we?) and get moving. We should plan our attack on this witch. AKA can I kick some a** now? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 If you're going to heal me instead, I'm not complaining. But remember that as a Back Row fighter, I can take up to 26 more Damage.
