JimBee Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 She's not taking any more of mine... by the time we get out of this maze and fight someone she'll have robbed us all of our health! If someone else wants to give up health if they can't solve it, feel free. I'd also thought about "slave" or "slavery" as one of the words, but those don't seem to fit, either... Quote
Zepher Posted October 27, 2011 Author Posted October 27, 2011 "Neither of those are in it! What would Cronk try to say to you dearies. Think, and explore, and give me health." Quote
Khorne Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 "You cannot be serious!" Eric shouted and repeatedly banged his head against a nearby wall. "Another anagram? Can't anybody these days speak in an open, non-secretive manner anymore?" Eric drew out another piece of crumled paper from a pocket and wrote down the sentence. He starting scribbling ideas, but again none of his solutions made any sense to him. Hopefully someone else would have some luck cracking this one. Apparently Hybros was already on the right path. Peanuts Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 "A Survey Helps Cronk?" Henry guesses, hoping for the best. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 Dammit Byblos, why couldn't you have been here too! "Well, none of the Gods fit in the anagram. Oleg fits perfectly, execpt we need his 'O' for 'Cronk'. Sylvania and Helvetia came second closest, but alas, there is no 'I'." "Maybe we don't have to just think like Mr. Cronk, but speak like him too? 'Help Cronk Save... Rusy?'" Quote
Khorne Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 Eric grumbled. His charcoal pencil was almost used up and still he hadn't found anything remotely of use. His hands went through his hair in despair. Once again he started rearranging letters, maybe he'd find something this time. What would Cronk want to say to us? Eric was no Orc, how could he know how the mind of the Orc worked. He continued scribbling until he came up with a sentence, one of his firt to actually make sense. "How about this one: Cronk say push lever?" Eric said, proud that he'd managed to make something decent. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 So far, I've come up with "Cronk have" for the first two words, but I'm not sure if Cronk would say "Cronk has"... Have we ever known Cronk to use helping verbs? Quote
Fred Fred Burger Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 "Oh my head said:wacko:" Chris waking up. What's going on? Quote
Zepher Posted October 27, 2011 Author Posted October 27, 2011 (edited) "How about this one: Cronk say push lever?" Eric said, proud that he'd managed to make something decent. Eric feels twenty gold appear in his pocket, and Lady Wren whispers in his ear. "Yet another unexpected thinker!" "Well that's useless there isn't a lever here," says Phil. JimBee Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Hybros glares at his Barbarian ally. He can't help but to feel jealous of Eric's and Cronk's success at the anagrams. Well done, Eric. Now, about this lever... maybe if we pull it (wherever it is), we'll stop magically travelling through hallways. Hybros casually leans on a sconce, hoping he will 'accidentally' pull a lever. Quote

JimBee Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Hmm, if that wench think she can win simply by hiding and magically stealing our health, then she's sadly mistaken. I look forward to when we get to show her what's what. Hungry for blood, Hybros brandishes his Mockthril Longsword and picks out his target. I'll attack the Secondary Guard C from the front row. Zepher Posted October 29, 2011 Author Posted October 29, 2011 (edited) Round 1 Doorway Guard Results Christopher v. Head Guard - Hit Jess v. Head Guard - Damage Hybros v. Secondary Guard C - Special Damage Bartholomew v. Guard B - Critical Hit Eric v. Guard A - Miss Henry v. Secondary Guard A - Hit Thotwick v. Secondary Guard B - Shield Phil v. Head Guard - Critical Hit The battle begins. Christopher stretches himself after being imprisoned and swings, nicking the Head Guard and causing 11 damage. Jess follows up, jumping into the fray, but the Head Guard is alert now and slashes her, doing 3 damage. Hybros attacks Guard C, but his time in the jailk has left him hungry and he misses, and the guard attacks Christopher, Eric, and Phil, doing 1 damage to each (though Christopher's shield prevents him from taking any damage). Bartholomew, holding true to form, sinks a bolt into an eye socket and kills his enemy. Eric, rattled by the Guard's attack on him, misses his target. Henry, feeling like he's finally getting the hang of the battle (and also overjoyed as to the lack of anagrams in this battle) hits his target, causing 9 damage. Thothwick, happy to be free, deals a total of 16 damage to Secondary Guard B, killing him, and then he collects gold from the dead guard's pocket equal to that. Phil finishes up the round by dealing 8 damage to the Head Guard. As for the others effecting you... head guard yes, and other guards yes. Sorry!
