JimBee Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Hm. I'll attack Secondary Guard C again, from the front row. Quote
Peanuts Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 (edited) After thinking about it, Henry decides to fight from the front row. Avoiding risks may be all well and good, but not a quarter as good as gaining more gold. Edited October 29, 2011 by Peanuts Quote
Khorne Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Eric roared as blood spilled out of his wound. The hit infuriated him and madly he charged at the guards again. Eric will attack Veteran Head Guard from the front row. Quote
Fred Fred Burger Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Chris will attack Guard C from the front row. Quote
Zepher Posted October 30, 2011 Author Posted October 30, 2011 (edited) <I mixed up the Guards who were killed last round. Guard A should still be around, and Guard B should be dead. Since they are identical it doesn't matter, I'm just alerting you all.> Round 2 Doorway Guard Results Christopher v. Secondary Guard C - Damage Jess v. Head Guard - Special Damage Hybros v. Secondary Guard C - Hit Bartholomew v. Guard B - Hit Eric v. Head Guard - Shield Henry v. Secondary Guard A - Shield Thotwick v. Guard B - Damage Phil v. Head Guard - Critical Hit The battle continues. Christopher lunges at Secondary Guard C, but is slashed across the back. Jess likewise slips on the wet stone below her and the Head Guard is able to dance through their ranks, doing one damage to everyone. Hybros decides he is sick of this and hacks at Secondary Guard C, bringing him to the doorstep of death. Docken could pretty much be finger painting at the same time that he is taking out these guards. His arrow flies straight and true, bringing Guard B within an inch of his health. Eric, angry due to missing last round, feels his blood pump. His club is raised high and he pummels all those who get in his way, leaving only the Head Guard alive with one health. Henry kills him and takes 15 gold off of him. The battle is victorious! On the other side is a well-lit well furnished room. Music plays. Draco sits in a huge chair, sipping wine near a fireplace. "Once you go in there, you will not be allowed to exit," says Wren. "So the question comes down to... do you want to lose health and help Cronk, or do you want to go ahead and run into the room!" Edited November 1, 2011 by Zepher Quote
JimBee Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Hybros feels a burst of energy from winning the battle. He hadn't felt so energized since his battle with Umbra Shadeuax. It felt good to bring enemies down again. Hmm, I say we go in. Thothwick and I are very weak now, and by the time we get Cronk and come back we'll both blackout. And with nothing to heal with... Hybros curses Lady Wren. OOC: Zepher, hate to be nitpicky about this again, but Henry would only gain one gold from his mugging, since that's how much damage he inflicted. Quote
Zepher Posted October 30, 2011 Author Posted October 30, 2011 <Fixed!> "We don't have to find Cronk! We just need to figure out what lever he's wanting us to push," says Phil. "Also, Eric, I have never seen someone do so much damage with a club." Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Hmm... a little more yellow here... and some blue here... I don't see how we could go save Cronk at this point, and some of us are low on Health, so I say we go into the room. Quote

We just need to figure out what lever he's wanting us to push," says Phil. I don't see any levers... I guess I'll try leaning on any sconces, stepping on all the floor tiles, and leaning on all the stones on the walls. I would also like a description of the hallway we're in... Or does Cronk mean a figurative lever? Um... maybe there's one inside the room...? I'd like to peek through the crack in the room and try to find a lever. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 'Lever' can also mean to apply pressure to accomplish something or cause something to happen - maybe entering the room is the lever? Maybe we have to put pressure on Draco? Quote
Zepher Posted October 30, 2011 Author Posted October 30, 2011 "Or maybe we've left a large area left unexplored..." whispers Phil. Quote

Peanuts Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 If the party leader decides to go against the majority vote, I suggest we stage a mutiny. "Sorry, but I'd still rather stay with Jess than with you. It's nothing personal, I just don't trust your leadership competencies." "And of course I'd never mutiny against an officer." Henry salutes to Jess. Quote
Zepher Posted November 1, 2011 Author Posted November 1, 2011 Docken hauls his crew up a few hallways, tired of Jess' silence (she has had time, and she said she'd go with the majority ). They arrive in a room, dark, dank, empty, except for a pretty metal lever, painted red, rammed into a track on the ground. The party examines it. It is in the "ON" position. The lever glows. Above it is a note: "Guards, if any of you are dumb enough to push this lever, I will have your head. Love, Lady Wren." "Heroes, if you have found this lever, than you figured out Cronk's message. Congratulations! If you push this lever, I will have your head. Cordially, Lady Wren." "Docken, I like your eye patch and talks of mutiny. Mutiny is one of my favorite things. Unless it is against me. Your secret admirer, Lady Wren." The options are forward, backwards, or left. Hallways Traveled: 37 Quote
